1. I'm a Celebrity GET
ME OUT OF HERE!
Analysis of intro sequence.
George Southgate
2. Camera Shot
• Multiple shots cutting back and forth from celebs and the
animated letter graphics.
• Establishing shots of all the celebs
3. Camera Movement
• Swooping shots alongside title sequence
• Pan of green screen shot of celebrities
• Fast pan out of camera as the title fully comes together on the
screen at the end of the sequence
• Movement from one celeb to another is in time with the music
and the tempo of the background track
4. Camera Angle
• High angle shot of presenters right at the end of the sequence
to begin the main show
5. Mise en Scene
• Very rustic scenery to imitate the wild lifestyle like it would be
like out in the bush in Australia, this alongside the uniforms
worn by celebs taking part makes it seem like a rustic camping
style show. However, having presenters run the show while
wearing suits, in more of a casual formal style gives a good
contrasts and outlines the roles of each person taking part in
the show.
6. Sound
• Background Music
• Animal sound effects used in the background and integrated
into the soundtrack itself (Non-diegetic)
7. Lighting
• Key lights used on the green screen of celebs, harsh high key
light is needed for a green screen to work to a high quality.
Along with the animated scenes, which would obviously have
artificial light too.
• Scene with presenters, most likely using key lights along with a
diffuser to make the light seem soft, low key and natural and
less harsh.
• Ambient lighting also used in the production of the show to
make it blend in with the background scenery, through the use
of sunsets and sunrises etc.
9. Camera Shot
• Single person shots of each 'dragon' to establish their position
in the show.
• Shots of the dragons in various poses.
10. Camera Movement
• Sweeping movement between each shot of the dragons.
• Jump cuts between different graphics, for example the image
with the investment amount for the show and also a shot of the
in and out system, which is the main deciding factor when it
comes to contestants.
• Fast zoom on the group of dragons at the end to give the
ending scene more of an explosive introduction into the video
sequence.
11. Camera Angle
• Low angle shot on all the dragons, makes them seem to have
more power and emphasises they are the main characters in
this show.
• Close-ups of all the animations and graphics, for example the in
and out scene and the equity scene, close ups of these provide
the viewer with hints and ideas of what the show will include if
they have never watched it before, almost foreshadowing what
is going to happen in the show and how its going to work.
12. Mise En Scene
• Very formal attire, giving it a very business-like theme, making it
look and feel like an important business meeting.
• Money placed around the set and next to the dragons, to carry
the theme of big risk investments.
13. Sound
• Very gameshow-like theme
• Non-diegetic sounds effects on the graphic scenes for the vault
doors and switches, making them seem robust and tough just
like how the dragons are presented in the show.
14. Lighting
• Very minimal, making use of harsh light beams with little
diffusion. Giving the scene an LED glow like effect
• Glitch effects and video effects used on all the dragons, to help
further convey the technological and furturistic theme of the
introduction.
• Glowing golden light behind the group in the final
scene gives us a more elegant shot, making them seem more
powerful, softer light is used here to allow it to diffuse around
the five main members of the show giving them an elegant
outline.
