This document describes a reference design for an HVAC coil airflow sensor system used for predictive maintenance of air filter replacement. The system monitors airflow efficiency and temperature through HVAC systems using solid state relays, piezoelectric vibration sensors, and a temperature sensor. It alerts when airflow drops below a threshold and can shut off the condenser if the evaporator coil temperature falls too low. The design uses an MSP430 microcontroller, temperature sensor, vibration sensors, logic gates, regulators, and other components to monitor and control the HVAC system based on airflow and temperature conditions.
