The document outlines Jacqueline Miller's lesson plan for a 2nd grade math class on telling time. The objectives are for students to demonstrate telling time to the hour using various clocks, and to identify times using vocabulary like half past, quarter till, and quarter after. The procedure has the teacher reviewing telling time concepts and introducing minutes on the clock. Students will then make a flip book with clock faces and worksheets to practice telling time.

Materials: Small clock, pencil, paper, worksheets, clock with individual rooms, pocket- book,
and flip book.
Objective: The students will demonstrate the ability to tell time to the hour by showing it on a
“kid clock”, showing the time on a model clock, and completing a worksheet activity showing
knowledge of analog and digital clocks.
Students will be able to identify what time it is and whether it is half past, a quarter till and a
quarter after by using the correct vocabulary.
Procedure:

everything I have taught them so far. I will introduce quarter after, half past, quarter till.
60 Minutes- Student- I will pass out pocket flip book and the clock paper. The students will cut
out the appropriate pages and glue them to the construction paper. The students will complete the
clock worksheet and then place them into the correct pockets.
I will then pass out the half and quarter hour page for the students to cut. Students will glue the
correct pieces of paper under the correct clock.
State Standards:
