I think that this painting
demonstrates that even a
painting with only two colours
can be very good. He may
have only two colours but he
has loads of different types of
green. It's good how when
there is shade from the sun
everything is darker then
where the sun is shining.
Overall I like this painting and
think that it is very complex in
a different way then other
paintings.

can tell from both paintings
that he uses shading a lot. It's
more plain then the other but
it's still looks almost real.

shading of the icebergs and
water are very good. I think it
is lonely too but not as lonely. I
like the colouring of the sky
and I think it is more desolate.

Bill Reid's paintings are easy
to figure out what they are of
and I like that. They don't
have much colour but are very
detailed. You can see the First
Nation's sacred animals
inside the salmon which is
cool. Overall this painting is
detailed and very good but is
a bit dry.
