TITLE OF THE THINKING ROUTINE: 
Think puzzle explore
EXPLANATION: 
 
This routine activates prior knowledge, generates ideas and curiosity and sets the stage for
deeper inquiry. This activity will be useful to introduce students to the meaning of colour in
different cultures. They will have to think if the use of colour is the same in all the photographs,
in this way they will awaken the curiosity in the colour symbology and then to delve into the
subject.
 
RESOURCES:
 
HOW ARE YOU GOING TO USE IT? 
 
The teacher will show the students a series of images in which the same colour predominates.
Each image is of a different culture. This activity will be useful to introduce students to the meaning
of colour in different cultures. They will have to think if the use of colour is the same in all the
photographs, in this way they will awaken the curiosity in the colour symbology and then to delve
into the subject.
After showing the images, the students will think about the questions and write their ideas or
questions individually. They will have to think about this questions:
1. What do you think you know about the meaning of colour in different cultures?
2. What questions or puzzles do you have?
3. What does the topic make you want to explore?
Then they will share their ideas with their group and write them on different paper that they will be
hanging on the wall in the corresponding column, one column for each question. When all of them
have exposed their ideas we will share them.
