Plays are written in a special way to help actors and directors kno
  All the plays include:

Cast of characters The list of characters. The cast of characters lets directors
                      know
Sets what actors will be needed.
Places where the story takes place
Each character s word follow his or her name. This
     Lines
                      format makes it easy
for actors to spot their own lines.
Props Objects that are important for the story

   Costumes Clothing

Stage directions Words in parentheses. They help the director and the
actors know important details such as where actors
should stand, how they should say their lines, and what
                       their expressions should be.
Compound words are made by joining two words together. They
can often figure out the meaning of an unfamiliar compound word
by breaking it into its two parts and thinking about the meaning of
each part.

Example:
 newcomer (new + comer= someone who has
 recently arrived)

  shoebox (shoe + box= a box of shoes)
