overcome inany difficultsituationdue tohisintelligence andisirresistible towomen. Nowadays,
JamesBondmoviesare globallywell-known. Everyone knowsthathe isa britishsecretservice agent
withvariesof special gadgetsordeviceswhichcome handyinhismission.The moviesthatIwill
compare are “ Die AnotherDay “ starringPierce Brosnanand “ CasinoRoyale “ starringDaniel Craig.
Firstly, bothPierce Brosnan andDaniel Craighave differentmissionsintheirmovie. InCasino
Royale, Le Chiffre is abanker, as well asa bankerinthe terrorist’sworld .He isparticipatingapoker
game in Montenegroandhe mustwinthe moneyinthisgame inorderto keephimself alive inthe
terrorist’sworld.Daniel Craig’smissioninthismovie istobankruptLe Chiffre bybeatinghiminthe
high-stakespokergame. InDie AnotherDay, at first, Pierce Brosnan issenttoNorthKorea to take
out a rogue NorthKorea colonel ,ColonelMoon.Unfortunatelyhisidentitywasdiscovered. His
missionis topreventthe military leader,ColonelMoonfromusinga satelliteheatbeamtodestroy
the North/SouthKorea.
Besides,bothmovieshave some partthatcaught my eyes,whichare the chase scenes.In
CasinoRoyale,Iwouldsayitis veryinterestingwhenDaniel Craigisonhischase withthe
bombmaker,Mollaka, whoisanexperiencedfree-runner.Mollakaleadshimintoaconstructionsite
whichgivesahuge advantage for Mollakato slip awayfromBond,but itdidn’tworkfor him.Their
chase leadsthemto the Nambutuembassywhere he seeksasylum. Daniel Craigmanagedtoescape
eventhoughhe issurroundedbythe armedguards.Onthe otherhand,in Die AnotherDay ,the
chase scene isput at the veryfirstpart as the movie starts. Iwouldsaythe chase scene inthismovie
ismore perilousthanthe one inCasinoRoyale because Pierce Brosnanischasedbythe NorthKorea
army. Afterhisidentitydiscovered,he managedtochase the Colonel Moonandhe also survivedthe
bulletrainsduringthe chase .Unfortunately,he iscaught bythe General Moon,Colonel Moon’s
father.
Next,inbothmovies,there are torture scenesbuttheyare differentinmypointof view.Forthe
torture scene inDie AnotherDay,Pierce BrosnanisbeingtorturedbyNorthKorean soldiersinthe
militarybase for14 months,whichconsideredasa longperiodof torture. After14 monthsof
captivityandtortures,he istradedwithMoon’sassistant,Zao,in a prisonerexchange. Onthe other
hand,in CasinoRoyale,DanielCraig’sassistant,VesperLyndwaskidnappedbyLe Chiffre because
Daniel Craigwonall hismoneyinthe high-stakespokergame.VesperLyndwasthentiedandleftin
the middle of the roadas a baitduringthe pursue.Withoutanyconscience fromDaniel Craig,he
turn hiscar aside toavoidaccident.Daniel Craigthenfell intoLe Chiffre’strapandthenhe isbrought
to a place where the torture begins. Le Chiffre use aroughand hard rope witha tiedupknot infront
to torture him.Le Chiffre whipped hisscrotumwiththe rope hardly.EventhoughDaniel Craigis
beingtorture justa nighttime,Ican feel thattorture is worstthan Pierce Brosnan’s.
Besidesthat,gadgetsorspecial devicesare usedinJamesBondmoviestoattract audience liking
and to make the movie more interesting.InDie AnotherDay, gadgetsare usedoftenthanin Casino
Royale.Pierce Brosnanexperiencedthe virtual combattrainingsimulatorwhichlookslikeanormal
glassescreatedbyQ. Q alsobrief hisinventiontoPierce Brosnansuchasthe glass-shatteringring
and the multifunctionAstonMartinVanquish.InCasinoRoyale,itseemslike littleamountof gadgets
are usedto helpDaniel Craig’smission.He plantsthe bug inLe Chiffré'sbenzedrine inhalerwhile he
isparticipatingthe pokergame withLe Chiffre totrack hislocationandalsohisconversations.Notto
mentionaboutthe fieldmedical kitthatstowedawayunderthe passenger-sidedashboardof hiscar
that savedhislife duringthe pokergame asLe Chiffre poisonedhim.
