O Research could be primary
or secondary.
O Research findings are then
transformed into practice.

OThe paper aims at identifying
important concepts relating to
nursing theory, research and
practice.
OAlso demonstrates the impact of
these concepts on future nursing.

4. Concept Relating to Theory
O Theory is the knowledge used for practice.
O Theories assist in describing, predicting,
explaining and understanding nursing issues.
O Theories stimulates research and extension of
knowledge.
O Theories exists in different levels; micro
theory, middle range theory, grand theory and
meta theory.
O Nursing has four paradigms defined by
different theories; human being, health,
environmental and nursing.
