Abstract
Background and aims: Hypothyroid patients are usually
follow-up in internal diseases with endocrinology and
metabolism clinics in Turkey. The aim in this study is to
determine the differences between these two clinics in terms
of reaching the target.
Methods: 310 patients with hypothyroid that are under
levothyroxine sodium treatment are involved this study.
These 268 women and 42 men are applied to Atatürk
University Medical School in 2015. Their TSH level are
recorded during the application and used a sensitive
immunometric assay for TSH measurement. TSH

Chronic hyperglycemia and acute glucose fluctuations are the two main factors that trigger complications in diabetes mellitus (DM). Continuous and sustainable observation of these factors is significant to be done to reduce the potential of cardiovascular problems in the future by minimizing the occurrence of glycemic variability (GV). At present, observations on GV are based on the mean amplitude of glycemic excursion (MAGE), which is measured based on continuous blood glucose data from patients using particular devices. This study aims to calculate the value of MAGE based on discrete blood glucose observations from 43 volunteer patients to predict the diabetes status of patients. Experiments were carried out by calculating MAGE values from original discrete data and continuous data obtained using Spline Interpolation. This study utilizes the machine learning algorithm, especially k-Nearest Neighbor with dynamic time wrapping (DTW) to measure the distance between time series data. From the classification test, discrete data and continuous data from the interpolation results show precisely the same accuracy value that is equal to 92.85%. Furthermore, there are variations in the MAGE value for each patient where the diabetes class has the most significant difference, followed by the pre-diabetes class, and the typical class.

Constipation is difficult or infrequent passage of stool, hardness of stool, or a feeling of incomplete evacuation. Many people incorrectly believe that daily defecation is necessary and complain of constipation if stools occur less frequently. Others are concerned with the appearance (size, shape, color) or consistency of stools. Sometimes the major complaint is dissatisfaction with the act of defecation or the sense of incomplete evacuation after defecation. Constipation is blamed for many complaints (abdominal pain, nausea, fatigue, anorexia) that are actually symptoms of an underlying problem (eg, irritable bowel syndrome [IBS], depression). Patients should not expect all symptoms to be relieved by a daily bowel movement, and measures to aid bowel habits should be used judiciously. Obsessive-compulsive patients often feel the need to rid the body daily of “unclean” wastes. Such patients often spend excessive time on the toilet or become chronic users of cathartics.

ABSTRACT Chronic renal failure disease is frequently associated with anaemia and the level of anaemia correlates with the stage of chronic kidney disease (CKD). A cross-sectional study was conducted in 44 chronic kidney disease patients in the department of medicine, M.L.B. Medical College, Jhansi during the period January to June, 2018. The study was evaluating the profile of anaemia and to find the association between the severity of anaemia and ckd-5 patients time period of taking on haemodialysis. Haemoglobin, blood urea, serum albumin, serum creatinine levels were examined using standard techniques. There was a significant difference in the haemoglobin of CKD patients taking 30 days regular interval 3 times values (P <0.05). All 44 patients (100%) were anaemic there was no significant correlation between the severity of anaemia and serum creatinine levels (P > 0.82) the most frequent anaemia in chronic kidney disease patients was a malnourished type of a moderate degree anaemic (7 10mg/dl). A significant correlation was not found between the severity of anomie and serum creatinine levels 30 day interval of CKD of patients on haemodialysis. BACKGROUND Diabetes is one of the most common debilitating diseases in the elderly requiring reasonable blood sugar control to prevent complications. Telenursing has been presented as a cost effective method to control blood glucose levels. AIM The present study aims to assess the effect on telenurisng on self glucose control among clients with type to diabetes mellitus at Saveetha medical college and hospital. METHODS AND MATERIALS A quantitative research design was used for the present study. A total 100 samples were collected using quota sampling technique. The demographic variable pretest and posttest level of complaints on self glucose monitoring was assessed using structured questionnaire, telenursing on glucose self monitoring and mangement was given among diabetes mellitus followed by that data was gathered and analyzed. RESULTS The results the study revealed that there is a significant association between the selected demographic variables and posttest level of diabetes mellitus at the level of p 0.01. Obesity and hyperlipidemia is international /worldwide problem causing heart disease leading to major predisposing factor for morbidity and death. Conventional medicine used in allopathy include statins, fibrates, niacin and resins but are going to defame due to their adverse effects. Herbal medicine ginger has proved itself as one of the potent anti hyperlipidemic and anti obesity herb with least adverse effects. We did try to compare its hypolipidemic effects with placebo effects when used in mild to moderate hyperlipidemic patients. It was placebo-controlled single blind research study. Research was conducted at National hospital, Lahore, from July to November 2016. Consent was taken from sixty hyperlipidemic patients age range from 25 to 60 years. Both gender male and female patients were enrolled. Patients were randomly divided in two groups, 30 patients were on drug ginger pasted-powder advised to take 5 grams in divided doses with their normal diet for the period of three months. Thirty patients were on placebo pasted-wheat powder, with same color as of ginger powder, advised to take 5 grams in divided doses with their normal diet for the period of three months. Their base line lipid profile and body weight was recorded at start of treatment and were advised to come for check-up, fortnightly. International Journal of Medical Science in Clinical Research and Review Vol 03, Issue 02,April – 2020 Page | 229 When duration of study was over, their lipid profile and body weight was measured and compared statistically with pre-treatment values. Three months treatment with 5 grams of ginger decreased total cholesterol from 233.11±1.53 mg/dl to 198.44±1.23 mg/dl, LDL cholesterol reduced from 202.21±1.88 mg/dl to 187.72± 1.98 mg/dl, reduced body weight from 76.01±2.66 kg to 72.80±1.87 kg. Both plasma total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol reduction was statistically significant, but body weight decrease was non-significant when analyzed biostatistically.

The study sought to determine the extent to which the usage of social media in the marketing of agricultural products in South West Nigeria can enhance farmers turnover. It employed the survey research design to collect data with the help of a structured questionnaire to elicit information from respondents selected from six 6 south western states. Research data were analysed using structural equation modelling. The results showed that the use of social media WhatsApp and Facebook in marketing of agricultural products significantly enhances farmers turnover. The managerial implication is that use of Whatsapp and Facebook in the marketing of agricultural products for the enhancement of farmers’ turnover was found to have significant influence on the enhancement in farmers’ turnover from agricultural products. Policy makers in government should provide the enabling environment for the telecommunication companies to enhance their reach by installing their facilities across the length and breadth of the country so that the network coverage will be strong at all times so that the benefits of social media usage will not be constrained. HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a virus that attacks cells that help the body fight infection, making a person more vulnerable to other infections and diseases. It is spread by contact with certain bodily fluids of a person with HIV, most commonly during unprotected sex (sex without a condom or HIV medicine to prevent or treat HIV), or through sharing injection drug equipment. Seasonal influenza (the flu) is an acute respiratory infection caused by influenza viruses. It is common in all parts of the world. Most people recover without treatment. Influenza spreads easily between people when they cough or sneeze. Vaccination is the best way to prevent the disease. Symptoms of influenza include acute onset of fever, cough, sore throat, body aches and fatigue. Treatment should aim to relieve symptoms. People with the flu should rest and drink plenty of liquids. Most people will recover on their own within a week. Medical care may be needed in severe cases and for people with risk factors. There are 4 types of influenza viruses, types A, B, C and D. Influenza A and B viruses circulate and cause seasonal epidemics of disease. Influenza A viruses are further classified into subtypes according to the combinations of the proteins on the surface of the virus. Currently circulating in humans are subtype A(H1N1) and A(H3N2) influenza viruses. The A(H1N1) is also written as A(H1N1)pdm09 as it caused the pandemic in 2009 and replaced the previous A(H1N1) virus which had circulated prior to 2009. Only influenza type A viruses are known to have caused pandemics. Influenza B viruses are not classified into subtypes but can be broken down into lineages. Influenza type B viruses belong to either B/Yamagata or B/Victoria lineage. Influenza C virus is detected less frequently and usually causes mild infections, thus does not present public health importance. Influenza D viruses primarily affect cattle and are not known to infect or cause illness in people.

Using deep archival observations from the Chandra X-ray Observatory, we present an analysis of linear X-ray-emitting features located within the southern portion of the Galactic center chimney, and oriented orthogonal to the Galactic plane, centered at coordinates l = 0.08◦ , b = −1.42◦ . The surface brightness and hardness ratio patterns are suggestive of a cylindrical morphology which may have been produced by a plasma outflow channel extending from the Galactic center. Our fits of the feature’s spectra favor a complex two-component model consisting of thermal and recombining plasma components, possibly a sign of shock compression or heating of the interstellar medium by outflowing material. Assuming a recombining plasma scenario, we further estimate the cooling timescale of this plasma to be on the order of a few hundred to thousands of years, leading us to speculate that a sequence of accretion events onto the Galactic Black Hole may be a plausible quasi-continuous energy source to sustain the observed morphology

Large language models (LLMs) are in the spotlight. Laypeople are aware of and are using the LLMs such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini on a daily basis. While companies are exploring new business opportunities, researchers have gained access to an unprecedented scientific playground that allows for fast experimentation with limited resources and immediate results. In this talk, using concrete examples from requirements engineering, I am going to put forward several research opportunities that are enabled by the advent of LLMs. I will show how LLMs, as a key example of modern AI, unlock research topics that were deemed as too challenging until recently. Then, I will critically discuss the perils that we face when it comes to planning, conducting, and reporting on credible research results following a rigorous scientific approach. This talk will stress the inherent tension between the exciting affordances offered by this new technology, which include the ability to generate non-factual outputs (fiction), and our role and societal responsibility as information scientists.

Nano-carriers have emerged as promising vehicles for targeted drug delivery due to their ability to enhance drug solubility, prolong circulation time, and minimize systemic toxicity. This review provides a comprehensive overview of active and passive targeting strategies employed to improve the efficiency of nano-carriers in reaching and accumulating at tumor sites. Active targeting utilizes ligands or antibodies to specifically bind to receptors overexpressed on tumor cells, while passive targeting exploits the unique characteristics of the tumor microenvironment, such as leaky vasculature and impaired lymphatic drainage, to enhance accumulation. The synergistic combination of active and passive targeting strategies holds great potential for optimizing drug delivery to tumors while minimizing off-target effects. In-depth understanding of these strategies is crucial for the rational design and development of nano-carriers tailored for enhanced efficacy in cancer therapy. 3. Abstract Background and aims: Hypothyroid patients are usually follow-up in internal diseases with endocrinology and metabolism clinics in Turkey. The aim in this study is to determine the differences between these two clinics in terms of reaching the target. Methods: 310 patients with hypothyroid that are under levothyroxine sodium treatment are involved this study. These 268 women and 42 men are applied to Atatürk University Medical School in 2015. Their TSH level are recorded during the application and used a sensitive immunometric assay for TSH measurement. TSH
