This document provides information about the Lakota Indians. It describes that the Lakota Indians lived in the plains region of North America west of the Appalachian Mountains and east of the Rocky Mountains. They lived in teepees and were nomadic, following buffalo herds as they migrated and setting up their teepees wherever the buffalo stopped to graze. The men's main occupations were as hunters and horsemen, hunting buffalo and other game and using horses to carry materials as the tribe moved locations.
