The document describes a study evaluating the use of Dragster® software to reinforce self-directed learning of veterinary anatomical structures. Dragster® allows creation of interactive "drag and drop" activities from images or videos. Activities were created on horse and dog anatomy and tested on veterinary students. Student surveys found the activities entertaining, motivating, and helpful for self-directed learning and exam preparation. Students indicated they would have used and want continued access to such activities.

Overview of the background, development and engagement activities of the GMMDC at the Nelson Mandela University in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa.
Projects that are shown represent implementations of a modern and innovative offline techno-blended model (TBM) and accompanying TouchTutor digital package to improve the quality of CAPS mathematics and physical sciences teaching and learning in secondary schools in South Africa. The TBM approach TouchTutor resource support in schools has led to successful professional learning communities of in-service mathematics and physical sciences teachers in the Eastern Cape Province over the past three years. Hundreds of learners were also successfully incubated for access and success at HE institutions over the same period.

Building a System of Learning and Instructional Improvement – Barbara Schneider EduSkills OECD
This presentation was given by Barbaba Schneider at the conference “Creativity and Critical Thinking Skills in School: Moving a shared agenda forward” on 24-25 September 2019, London, UK.
This study aims to determine the effect of the use of learning media Virtual Reality Laboratory (VR-Lab) on the conceptual understanding of Senior high school students on the concept of electrolytes and non-electrolytes. The learning media used were developed using models adapted from the ADDIE model, while the type of research as a whole uses this type of research, namely Quasy experiment with posttest only design. The instrument used in this study was a multiple choice question of 40 items. This research was conducted using 84 students consisting of the control class, experiment I, and experiment II. The analysis technique used one-way ANOVA. The results obtained in this study were that between the control class and experiment I class there were no significant differences with a mean of 44.91 and 45.67. Whereas for the experimental II class had a significant difference with the other two classes with an average of 68.66.

In conventional learning environments, instructors are typically faced with the trade-off between the quality of the student experience and the workload in terms of hours dedicated to deliver that ex- perience. This trade-off is exacerbated in the context of courses with large student cohorts. In these scenarios, instructors are fully aware of strategies that would increase the quality of a course such as frequent, personalised feedback, but the required resources sig- nificantly reduce (if not completely remove) the catalog of support actions.
In the ideal one-to-one scenario instructors establish a conversa- tion with the student to gain insight about their current state in terms of the learning objectives, select the most appropriate sup- port action, and deliver it to the student usually verbally, visually or both. Technology may provide support when scaling these three steps: gaining insight, selecting a support action, and delivering it to the student. But with it comes to technology, a second trade-off appears, that of the effectiveness of a tool versus its complexity of creation and deployment. A tool may provide an effective scaling of one of these stages, but they are very complex to design and/or equally complex to gain adoption by the regular instructor.

Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing.
