This lack of labeling can imply that the speaker has found themselves in a daze, unable to fully comprehend the miraculous scene. In contrast, Chang

The first way that colonists started to see a difference was the formation of the First Continental Congress in 1774. This group responded to the

Laying on my comfortable bed under my warm covers with a chapter book in front of my face, I turned to the last page.
"It was a suc–cess–ful successful day," read the final line in the book.
My heart began to race as my eyes grew wide like an owl's. Had I really just read a whole chapter book by myself? I sprung out of my bed and ran to go
tell my mom.
"Mommy, I just finished reading a chapter book all by myself!" I exclaimed with a wide smile plastered on my face.
"I'm so proud of you!" my mother responded. "I knew that you could do it!" My mom gave me a huge hug. At that moment, I realized that all of the

When I Heard The LearnD Astronomer Summary
Looking up at the night all people see different things. They see constellations, heaven, a lifeless void. All of these interpretations are unique to the
person. There is a poem that covers this idea of mixed meaning named When I heard the Learn'd Astronomer by the writer Walt Whitman written in
1865 and published in 1867. The poem explains the speaker is sitting in on a lecture by a knowledgeable astronomer. The man is sitting in a
lecture–room and shows an obvious distaste for his setting by explaining he "soon became tired and sick." The lecture uses many blunt mathematical
terms such as figures, columns, charts, diagrams, addition, subtraction, and division. And after the man begins to feel uneasy he steps out of the
lecture–hall outside. It is here that he looks up and admires the stars. The speaker of "When I heard the Learn'd Astronomer" shows distaste for over
analysis and the lack of connection to the natural world through word choice, meter, and sectioning. First, the meter of the first half of the poem helps
develop the idea of overanalysis. An example to illustrate this idea is the first half of the poem: "When I heard the learn'd astronomer, When the
proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me, When I was shown the charts and diagrams, to add, divide, and measure them, When I sitting
heard the astronomer where he lectured with much applause in the lecture–room." The amount of syllables in the first half increases from 9, to 14, to
18, to 23. The steady syllable count increase is done intentionally to induce a sense of tension. This tension is needed to give a growing sense of
urgency for the speaker to deny, and turn around and Whitman also put "When" at the beginning of each line of lines 1–4. Rigid flow gives a sense
monotony, thus making the poem expectable and not in any way intriguing. The aforementioned case is a connection the speaker wants us to make
through his repetition. To make us associate the mathematical explanation of the heavenly bodies with drudgery. The line "When I was shown the

Willa Cather once said, "The end is nothing, the road is all." I think this quote means that the journey is all that matters, not the destination. I strongly

Bullying Story
Have you ever been bullied before? Well let me tell you a few or more things because I actually have been bullied. I was bullied about my clothes,
skin, head shape, and eyebrows. I got bullied because my clothes were "too short", my skin because of acne, my head shape because it was too big,
and my eyebrows because "it wasn't thick enough''. It all started when I was in 1st grade, I was at lunch minding my own business and enjoying
my lunch, until there were 4th graders who were laughing at me. I didn't know why but I really didn't care so I just kept eating my lunch. Then
when I was at the line throwing my tray away, they still kept laughing. I didn't know if someone was telling them a joke but they were just looking at
me. And for some reason, I felt really sad because usually I don't really care about that stuff. So for the rest of the day I only talked to one of my friends.
The next day, when I was getting ready for school, I really didn't want to go because of what happened the day before at lunch. So I told my mom I
was sick but she didn't believe me. She knew there was something wrong but i didn't want to say anything to her because I wasn't really comfortable
about the situation yet. My mom kept asking me what was wrong but I still didn't say anything so when she dropped me off on the car rider zone, she
