Irony is most noticeable in how the author declares how transgender people have

today are farther and farther removed from a dark chapter in U.S. History. In
America, the second you are born you have the unalienable rights to life, liberty, and
the pursuit of happiness. This wasn t always the case. The enslaving of African
American s was a way of life in America, especially in the Southern states. Black
people were either forced or born into slavery. These people had these unalienable
rights stripped from them and they were at the mercy of whomever they belonged to.

The Problem Based Learning Theory
Problem based learning theory has developed rather recently compared to many
pedagogical theories in education. This theory was initially used to rigorously test the
skills of medical students by allowing them to become more involved in their learning
rather than using the passive lecture approach. (Savin Baden, Major, 2004). Other
schools recognized that this method addressed some of the shortcomings of the
traditional instructor led classroom format and adopted similar problem based learning
approaches to areas such as engineering, science, business, etc.
The PBL model consists of groups collaboratively working together to solve a
problem. The learner is expected to be engaged their group discussions and the
instructor facilitates the process by asking open ended questions. (Botty, H., Shahrill,

approach, they are responsible for creating a classroom environment in which the
learners receive systematic instruction in conceptual, strategic, and reflective
reasoning in the context of a discipline that will ultimately make them more

the campus Steward Observatory telescope brought perspective to just how lucky
we are in Tucson to have such amazing resources to study the sky. The location of
the telescope is amazing; right in the middle of our historic campus which allows
the general public accessibility to something that might otherwise be reserved for
astronomers or scientists. Having a 21 telescope to view the night sky expands
the field of view that wouldn t be as wide ranging with an ordinary telescope.
Having looked through telescopes that were probably 4.5 previously, I wasn t
really sure what to expect looking through a scientific version. Clear weather in
late November and having a night sky ordinance in Tucson also allows optimum
viewing opportunities year round. Thanks to a local ordinance that strictly limits
