become so attached to us that we use it as inspiration, to feel relaxed, comfortable and sometimes
we make decisions led by the type of music we are listening in that instant. During the time Ozzy
Osbourne has released many pieces of music containing very contentious messages, which is the
case of "Suicide Solution". In result of this piece of music, there were some tragical deaths, making

MTV stands for music television, but today that title can be misleading. The channel used to be
known for playing music videos of many different genres, but today MTV focuses more on reality
TV shows. It wasn't that long ago that MTV was all about the music like its title suggests. In fact
during the summer of 2004 I remember watching shows like TRL, and seeing My Chemical
Romance's video for their song "Helena". More recently I remember turning on the TV before going
to school, and seeing the video for "The Drug in Me Is You" by Falling in Reverse, which happened
to be one of my favorite bands at the time. Despite that, in the last ten years MTV has took a drastic

In 2000 only 8 hours and music videos were broadcasted, and then the number dropped again to a
mere 3 hours a day. That is a big jump from the 24 hours of music when the network began. Times
change, and so do people's interests. MTV combated this change by producing more original
content. Some of the original content wasn't that bad, and still involved music in some shape. One
of my personal favorite shows that MTV produced is The Osbournes. The Osbournes is a TV show
that explores the home life of The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, his wife Sharon, and their
two children Jack and Kelly. The show ran from 2002–2005, and is deemed to be the most watched
series on the channel. The Osbournes was just one of the ways MTV tried to entice their audience
with the family's crazy antics, and over use of swear words. In the recent years MTV has produced a
lot of original content. Some of the notable shows were The Real World, Punk'd, MTV Cribs,
Jackass, and more recently, Teen Wolf, 16 And Pregnant, and Teen Mom. If a listing of what is
being played on MTV for the day would be pulled up, some of these shows would be seen with little
or no mention of music at all. If there is any it's probably in the early hours of the morning when

The thing that helped shape me as a person would be music. I listen to many different genres of
music like country, rap, and rock. Country and rock are the main two types of music that I listen to.
I've been around many different types of music as I have grown up. When I was little, all I would
listen to would be country. I lived with my grandparents for the first three years of my life. They
would only listen to country music because that was the only thing they liked and that's what they

He was a die hard Metallica fan, that was one of the only bands he would listen to and still does to
this day. Now Metallica is my favorite band. I think that if I would've never started to listen to rock
music I would be a pretty boring person. I listen to it whenever I need some pump up music or I
listen to it whenever i'm in a bad mood. Rock music, especially Metallica inspired me to learn how
to play guitar. Over the years I've started to listen to many different rock bands. Most of the bands I
