Tennis History
History of Tennis Tennis originated in northern France in the 11th century as a type of handball played
on indoor court. The introduction of a racquet in the 16th century changed the game. By the mid 19th
century, it was popularized as an indoor game on a lawn in England. Major W.C. Wingfield
popularized the game and devised a set of rules as well as a court in the shape of an hourglass with a
net 1.5 m high. Over the next few years, the game was modified as the court became rectangular and
the server was moved to the baseline. When the first Wimbledon championship was held in 1887, the
game was basically the same as it is played today. Soon after its popularization in England, tennis
began to spread and develop in Canada. J.F. Helmuth formed ... Show more content on

Wooden racquets got better during these years, with improvements in laminating technology, however,
they remained heavy with small heads. Compared to the contemporary racquet, even the best wood
racquets were cumbersome and lacking in power. In the early 1970s, the development of aluminum
racquets allowed for a lighter weight frame and a string area more than 50 percent larger than the
standard 65 square inch wood racquet. Continued advancements in research over the last 30 years has
allowed for the development of new materials, such as graphite and carbon fibre, which provide a

Internet Of Things And The Cyber Security
ABSTRACT
Internet of Things (IoT) is an emerging technology where absolutely everything (devices), are being
connected to the internet in order for them to be able to communicate with each other. The internet
may be the World Wide Web or any other form of connectivity used to interconnect two or more
devices remotely. This is all for the benefit of mankind. Man is creating this technology and advancing
it so as to benefit from it in all possible means by reducing work and taskforce and increasing
productivity. Cyber security on the other hand is the threat to the data that is being collected, handled
or stored by these companies. In our research study, we surveyed a sample of companies to see if they
have the Data privacy policies governing them in protecting the data that they collect from very many
individuals and companies via the internet of things devices.
We go ahead to study the contribution of the lack or presence of these data privacy policies to the
cyber security by looking at the trend of cyber security and we look at the relation between the privacy
and integrity of handling the private data / information to the cyber security to see how the absence or
presence of one affects the other.
From our results, we find out if the lack or presence of these data privacy policies, are a contributing
factor to the cyber security of the IoT or not. We also look at the challenges that these companies face
and we go ahead to suggest solutions that can be adopted by the

Changing The Physical Layer
The physical layer specifics the function details for initiating, keeping up and turning off the physical
link when moving the bits of data over the physical media such as copper, fibre or wireless. So it will
takes your data bits of ones and zeros covert them to what is needed to transfer over that type of media
so for example change bits into electrical signals for copper cables then will covert it back to ones and
zeros once it reaches its destination to send up OSI model layers.
When changing the bits so they can be sent over different types of media this is known as signalling.
Signalling will change the bits to what it needs to be for transmission then is read by the connections
at the other end.
Protocols of the physical layer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If there is a difference a CRC frame error is generated to state there is a corruption either on the
sending device side or the destinations device packet transmission.
For detecting and troubleshooting these issues use the different types of show commands such as show
interface and show spanning tree.
The data link layer is responsible for controlling access to the media and formatting the data for
transmission for going across the physical network link. So it encapsulates the packets from the
network layer to suitable frames for the network media to use for transferring data frames from one
place to another error free. The addressing used at this layer is physical addressing also known as mac
addressing which is how devices are addressed at this layer instead of IP addressing. The data link
layer also does error detection at this layer as well.
The data link layer has two sub layers which are logical link control and Mac. The logical link control
sub layer gives flexibility in services to the layers above so it will let the data link layer known what to
do with a packet when gets a frame. This works by it will check the header to establish that the packet
inside the frame it received is destined for the network layer. The MAC sub layer keeps a table with
the mac addresses of the devices because each device must have a unique Mac to be identified on the
network.
At the data link layer you also

Life Modification For Community Leaders
Introduction
This reflection paper is the clear picture of the knowledge I gained from the course Lifestyle
Modification for Community Leaders. At the time of registration of my courses for this semester I
opted this course with a hope of change in my life. As the student s life is tough especially when you
should work along with your studies. The pressure of studies and work is very challenging for the
students. This course helped me to fight with this situation. Basically, the course is all about the
modifications of the lifestyle that every person has opted in their life. The course not only focuses on

After going through all the articles, I was eagerly waiting to attend the first lecture of this course. In
the first lecture of this course, I got a feeling that everything is going to change. The meditation of 5
minutes in the beginning of the lecture filled me with a positive vibe and a lot of energy. The
connection between body and soul was explained in a simple and beautiful manner by the professor.
The vibrational medicine and its effects on the body astonished me.
Further, the professor discussed about the various forms of CAM and gave me and the other students,
an opportunity to explore about any one form of CAM, write a paper on it and present it to the whole
class. During the course, various methods of alternative medicine that were presented in the class are
meditation, aromatherapy, Ayurveda, guided imagery, yoga, reiki, hydrotherapy and many more.
Meditation
According to me, it is a system of concentration or distraction of human mind and body used to reach
a higher level of awareness, physical performance, concentration or relaxation generally created from
an internal source. The meditation can be practiced for stress management, anger management, control
over anxiety, improved awareness and improvement of cognitive skills. To meditate, first find a quite

Till Debt Do Us Part By Mary Loftus Summary
A Ferrari at the office and a Kia in the garage, what would the writer say? He says it s a company car,
but in reality, he owns it. He led about his income to his wife, he boasted it was $120,000, when in
reality it was $400,000. Where was the additional $280,000? A secret life of cars and bank accounts.
There was also Donald, the farmer who had obtained a $35,000 loan to replant his crops. Without his
knowledge his wife Susann, with an internet gambling addiction, lost it all. Both examples are of
deceit; one of hidden money, while the other attempts to hides her addiction. Sometimes a little
deception may seem harmless, but in reality it will destroy any and all relationships between friends
and partners. Someone may think, that won t happen to me, I m good with money or my husband is so
trusting about his income , but what about your partner or your spouse, are they good and honest about
money? Addiction and deceit can happen to and destroy anyone. The article Till Debt Do Us Part by

The worst of these is the infidelity; secret spending. There is nothing worse than finding out a loved
one has in some way been harmed by their significant other; in this case by addictive spending; either
legal or not, both are devastating. Next is income secrets; either hidden assets or monies. In this case
one partner trusts the other only to realize they have been lied to, destroying all trust in the
relationship beyond repair. The least of these is the unintentional debt; out of hand purchasing of
needed or the occasional want. This hurts both partners, the one who incurred the debt and realizes the
bill cannot be paid, and the other when they are informed. This problem can be solved without fear of
betrayal or deceit. The debt can be paid in time and hopefully a lesson has been

Infant Caregiver Attachment
The essence of attachment to a developing infant cannot be overstated. It is at the heart of healthy
child development. Also, it lays a foundation when it comes to relating with others. It plays a crucial
role in influencing the parent s ability to nurture and to be responsive to their children. The effects of
attachment to the developing infant are long term. Bowlby, the developer of the theory of infant
caregiver attachment, attachment security determines the infant s preferential desire for contact with
his or her caregiver (Levine, 23). The child uses the caregiver as a secure base from which to explore
the environment. When infants develop securely attached relationships to their caregivers, they will
have positive behaviours in the future. They also tend to show resiliency to new environments.
Attachment to the developing infant plays a crucial role in regulating stress in times of illness, anxiety
and distress. Infants develop different kinds of attachment relationships. For instance, some infants
can become securely attached to the parent while others find themselves in an insecure attachment
relationship. The differences are determined by the social environment during the first few years of
life. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first phase is the pre attachment stage which takes place from birth through to 3 months. In this
stage, the infant responds to people without any discrimination. The second stage of the attachment is
the preliminary attachment which takes place between 3 to 12 months. The infant begins to respond
differently depending on people. He or she responds to familiar people with smiles. Besides, he or she
prefers to be with the primary caregiver more than other individuals. The infant might express this by
becoming upset or challenging to calm down when not with the familiar caregiver or

The Negative Effects Of Technology Overload

in the recent news (Lozano). In March of 2017, a 20 year old had been texting while driving which
caused him to slam into a church minibus. Thirteen innocent people were killed because he chose not
to wait until he was done driving to send the message. Obviously, he allowed an obsession with
technology to distract him from making safe choices. This technology overload not only will affect
him for the rest of his life, but it took the lives of thirteen others. While some news headlines show

The approved six hours of technology time easily can become nine hours, causing students to be less
productive. Not only does the overuse of technology create unproductive situations, it also creates
unsafe situations. AAA reports that, 11 teens die every day as a result of texting while driving.
According to a AAA poll, 94% of teen drivers acknowledge the dangers of texting and driving, but
35% admitted to doing it anyway. 21% of teen drivers involved in fatal accidents were distracted by
their cell phones ( Texting and ). Not only do technology distractions create unsafe situations for teens,
but it also affects adults. Out of 2.5 million car accidents in the United States, regardless of the driver
s age, 64% of them had a connection to cell phones (Hopkins). That means 1.6 million accidents were
potentially caused by distracted driving due to cell phones. Clearly these statistics show that while
teens understand the danger of using their cell phone while driving, it s not preventing them from
doing so. Furthermore, it is not just teens. Adults also are choosing to unsafely use technology as well.
Teens and adults need to stop using their phones in the car before they kill themselves and other
innocent drivers and pedestrians. Some may argue that using cell phones in the car is completely safe
as long as the driver uses a hands free system. Conventional wisdom

Jean Paul Lawrence Kohlberg s Theory Of Moral Development
Introduction The conscience of children is formed by the influences that surround them; their notions
of good and evil are a result of the moral atmosphere they breathe Jean Paul Lawrence Kohlberg (the
pioneer of the second major perspective on moral development) proposed that moral reasoning is
developed when people pass through three levels which comprise of two stages each as they grow
older. He investigated the nature of moral thought by interacting with children, presenting them with a
story in which moral dilemmas were faced by the characters in the story. This is what led to the birth
of his theory of moral development. This essay therefore seeks to practically apply Kohlberg s thesis
to the real world. In so doing, it will review and evaluate the theory ... Show more content on

Kohlberg on Moral Development A professor at Harvard University developed a theory of moral
development which incorporated the thinking of a Swiss psychologist named Jean Piaget and an
American philosopher named John Dewey (Barger, 2000). The professor went by the name Lawrence
Kohlberg. Kohlberg mainly used Piaget s theory of moral development as the foundation to develop
these ideas further (Piaget, 1932). He incorporated the method of telling a story that presents a
dilemma that Piaget came up with, which would give people options for them to choose what they
would feel is right choice (Kohlberg, 1958). Kohlberg (1984) presented the dilemmas as moral
dilemmas, and the way an individual reasoned the dilemma would determine the stage (with regards to
moral development) in which he would classify them. Kohlberg used the reasons that the individuals
gave as a way to see how moral reasoning changed as people grow

Cafo s Essay
Concentrated animal feeding operations, also known as CAFO s, are large industrialized agricultural
operations that confine thousands of animals in an enclosed location for feeding, breeding and
production farming purposes. These operations are taking over smaller, family run farms that are
raising animals ethically and environmentally friendly. CAFO s are raising beef cattle, dairy cattle,
poultry, fish and other animals for mass production to feed the ever growing demand for meat and
poultry consumption. These large scale operations are cutting out the small farms that cannot compete
in the food production industry.
This inhumane way of raising animals is upsetting many environmentalists who see this type of
farming as animal cruelty, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This mass production creates a scale of economy that allows the finished product to be available to
consumers at a lower cost. CAFO s are an economic necessity that allows enough meat, poultry, fish
and other animal products to be produced to feed humans globally. While some small farms may not
be able to compete, there is a trickle down effect that helps boost the regional and national economies.
CAFO s create local jobs in rural areas, increase tax dollars and also support other economic
development.
CAFO s are a direct response to globalization, as well as to increasing demand as the population
continues to grow. People want to buy a food product that is of the same quality, a standardized
product, every time. With the help of technological advancement, humans can harness the tools they
have available to produce enough food, therefore, more farms should switch to the best methods
available. Environmentalists who oppose CAFO s are fundamental Luddites and will only obstruct

Yamaha starting selling motorcycles in the United States during 1960; Suzuki followed in 1963; and

Essay On Hyperthermia
Many people have an understanding of what hyperthermia is and the reasons it may occur in an
individual. Hyperthermia occurs when the body s core temperature reaches between 37 38°C due an
inability to dissipate heat. In most cases, the occurrence of hyperthermia can be credited to a known
reason. Examples include being outside in extremely hot temperatures without any cooling mechanism
or vigorous exercise in extreme heat causing the body s temperature to rise. Hyperthermia is
determined by an increase in core temperature at a rate of 1 2°C every five minutes (2, 11). However,
in certain individuals, the use of general anesthesia can cause individuals to suffer from an inherited
disorder known as malignant hyperthermia. When malignant hyperthermia is triggered, individuals are
at risk of hypoxemia, metabolic acidosis, rhabdomyolysis and a quick rise in the person s body
temperature ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The increase in metabolic activity occurs in response to inhalational anesthetics and depolarizing
muscle relaxers, such as succinylcholine, and causes individuals to suffer from muscle rigidity,
hyperthermia, and tissue damage (1, 2). This is an inherited disorder found in humans and swine. If
treatment is not initiated quickly, the individual may die from ventricular fibrillation or, if the situation
is extended, the patient may die from renal failure (1). For treatment, patients are given dantrolene, a
muscle relaxer that prevents the release of calcium. Once dantrolene was widely used as a treatment
for malignant hyperthermia, the mortality rate from the disorder dropped from more than 80% to less
than 7% (1, 5, 6). Overall, the rate at which malignant hyperthermia occurs is between 1:5,000 and
1:75,000 (2). While the physical results of malignant hyperthermia are known, the physiological and
genetic reasons for the disorder are starting to be

In the Heart of the Sea
In the Heart of the Sea The novel In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex, by
Nathaniel Philbrick, successfully tells the story of the whale ship Essex that was attacked by a sperm
whale 1,500 nautical miles west of the Galapagos, 40 miles south of the equator. Many people know
this as the story of Moby Dick , which was based off this event. The novel highlights three themes:
man versus nature, survival, and suffering. The novel starts out in the town of Nantucket, an island off
the eastern coast of New England. Nantucket, at this time, is known as one of the most successful
whaling ports. Docked on the port was the famous Essex, a 20 year whaling boat. The Essex is the
pride of Nantucket. It is 87 feet long, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In chapter 5, on November 20, the crew spots whales 40 miles south of the equator. Chase and his
crew go after a whale, which destroys their boat with its tail. When they bring their boat back to the
Essex, they spot a huge sperm whale near the bow of the ship calmly and quietly floating along the
surface of the water. The whale began to move quickly towards the ship. The men try to steer Essex
away from the whale, but are unsuccessful. The whale rams the ship with its head, and the men are
amazed. After the whale revives itself, it struck the ship again, causing the Essex to sink bow first. The
men board their whaleboats after a night of preparation of leaving the Essex. They stripped the sails of
the ship and attached them to their boats. The waves splashed over the boat, causing the work to be
more difficult. The next morning, the boats take off. Chase and Pollard talk of where to go now that
their ship has sunk. They speak about going to the Galapagos Islands, but Pollard noticed the wind
direction would not allow them to go there. Next, they speak about the Marquesas, in the west. The
men had heard that the inhabitants of the island were cannibals. South of the Marquesas were the
Tauamotu Archipelago Islands, but the men had also heard that the islands have a bad reputation. In
this conversation, we notice the colonist s outlook on the unknown. They share a sense of togetherness
within each other and no one else. We see this in the attitude of the

Typically the dust control bags in the new line have maximum controlling efficiency. Comparatively,
according the data from the employee and community survey there is a significance impact dust
particulate to the surrounding environment. Therefore, it is better to rethink on the filter bags
performance. In addition, regular maintenance and quick replacement of filter bags is necessary.
Practically the ESP found in the old line in addition to some filter bags has less performance on
dedusting. Dust emission is observed continuously due to malfunction of this device. Therefor this
ESP way of dedusting is better to change or supported by other dedusting device. While the factory
starts to investigate and allocate budget on the improvement of the ESP, it is delayed to implement. It
needs urgent decision making to substitute it.
3. Management of transformed materials. Some of the sources of dust emission are the way how to

pet coke and black coal from South Africa accumulated without function and poor handling in the
factory compound. It is better to take measures on these transformed materials urgently.

The Memory System Essay example
Memories are creative recollections of past experiences that are unique to each individual. They define
us and give us our identity. Memories are a collection of information, which at one time was new to
us, and as we learned and progressed, that information became stored as memory. The main fact to
memory is that practice and repetition is a key asset to making the brain encode the information as
memory. When the brain encodes this information it is stored, waiting to be retrieved. When we
memorize something, it is stored for a certain amount of time in the brain, the more we recall this
information the more familiar we become with it, making it easier to remember and recall later in life.
The process of memory is still a mystery, but ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While yet it is the most complex process neuroscience has ever tried to define. Most theorists believe
that the brain encodes information in two different types, motor skills memory and factual memory.
Motor skills memory is the memorization of functions like running, walking, or eating. While factual
memory is associated with the memorization of telephone number, names, places, and experiences.
Some theorists believe this is the basic foundation to memories. Associated with these two types are
three levels, Sensory memory, Short term memory, and Long term memory. Sensory memory is the
level, which absorbs the things around us using the five main senses, sight, smell, touch, sound, and
taste. This level of memory is thought to only last a matter of seconds, and only moves on to the next
level if enough attention is given to the information. (Baddeley, 1976) If not enough attention is given
to the information it is ignored by the brain and forgotten. (Howe, 1983) The second level of memory
is the Short term memory. This level is believed to only have a capacity of 7 items, and have a
duration time of no more than thirty seconds. (Bjork, 1996) When memories in the short term are used
more and more it sends it to the next level, but again this is only done by practice or repetition. A way
for most people to remember more things, in the short term is called Chunking. This is where someone

My problem/phenomenon:
Have you ever wondered what would happen if you spilled something onto your recorded audio
Compact Disk (CD) and didn t realized it until several days later? Below is a report on the effects of
long term exposure of certain household chemicals will have on CD s.
Possible hypotheses:
It is my belief that the Sulfuric Acid will be the one to do the most damage to the CD. If there is any
damage done at all.
Experimental Design and Timeline:
I have wondered about what a household chemical will do when exposed to a CD. So I have decided
to conduct an experiment in which I will take 5 pre recorded audio CD s and divide them into 24
different sections. That will allow me to place 1 drop of each chemical onto each section 1 day for 24
days and record the result. I have decided to do this by trying out several different acids and solvents
that you can find around the house.
The 4 different Acids I plan to use are?
1. Acetic acid found in Vinegar
2. Citric acid found in Lemon Juice
3. Tartaric acid found in Red Wine
4. Sulfuric acid found in Car Battery Acid
At the end of 24 day I plan to take photos of what each CD s look like before I wash them off with
warm soapy water. After

Theory Of Learned Helplessness
The Theory of Learned Helplessness (TLH) (Peterson, 1982) is the theoretical foundation chosen for
this study. Learned helplessness is a psychological condition which can cause a person to feel
completely powerless to change their circumstances for the better. It is defined as the failure of an
individual to engage in behaviors that will allow them to escape from or avoid aversive stimuli such as
in the ICU environment (Peterson, 1982; Seligman, 1972). It begins with the post surgical patient
awakening to an environment of abrupt disempowerment that often includes the restriction of
movement, the inability to speak, the loss of human choice, and the bombardment of continuous
aversive stimulation. Consequently, aversive stimulus encountered ... Show more content on

The demonstration of abrupt and unusual cognitive decline, variations of anxiety, and other symptoms
that indicate a direct loss of control connect the Theory of Learned Helplessness to the knowledge of
when delirium may start. Moreover, understanding the trajectory and onset of delirium will inform or
contribute to existing research and knowledge of the Theory of Learned Helplessness and extend the
boundaries of the theory by explaining the dependence of hospitalized patients following their
experience with restrictive and disempowering care in the critical care environment. In addition,
practitioners could initiate an early treatment plan followed by simple interventions to assist the
patient in reducing anxiety and subsequent cognitive decline that results in manifestations of delirium.
These simple interventions to reduce anxiety could include facilitating independence and assisting the
patient in meeting their basic needs, which can lead to positive engagement with their current
environment. What is more, these interventions could extend the Theory of Learned Helplessness by
simply recognizing the patient as a living human being. The Theory of Learned Helplessness can
explain the onset of delirium when the patient eventually feels that there is nothing that they can do to
overcome their symptoms during the progression of mechanical ventilation

Essay On A Healthy Lifestyle
What is a healthy lifestyle?
A healthy lifestyle is a choice. A choice to live better and put the amount of sacrifice and hard work it
takes to get there. Don t be discouraged though, if this is what you want for you and your family you
can do it. Having a healthy lifestyle will have you and your family feeling your best and you ll be a lot
happier knowing you re doing what is best for you and your loved ones.
We re going to look at the three main choices that you will have to make everyday. These choices are
not huge in depth decisions, they are simple day by day, hour by hour choices. Achieving a healthy
lifestyle is accomplished one choice at a time. Over time these choices will be automatic and you won

Yes, exercise. Exercise is essential to being healthy. Try to get your heart rate up at least once every
day and also fit in some strength exercises. I don t mean for you to go out and get all the latest
exercise equipment and weight sets. Use your own body weight for exercise through push ups, squats,
and pull ups. There are experts that only use their body weight to get in shape.
Finding the time to exercise is the key. I struggle with this everyday. This is just another daily choice.
It is a really hard choice when it comes down to staying in bed an extra hour in the morning, or sitting
around on your lunch break instead of doing that jog around the parking lot followed by some push
ups and stretching, but a necessary one in order to have a healthy lifestyle. Exercising gets your blood
flowing, burns those extra calories and gets rid of toxins. There is no way around it. We have to
exercise.
Choice #3: Incorporate more holistic remedies into your daily routine.
Every morning should start off with a glass of water and a daily vitamin. Also, if you re suffering from
a certain ailment or illness, you should be taking an herb for that every day. Find out what you can

Summary Of Let The Celebrating Begin
Let the celebrating begin. This book is about a wonderful girl who briefly shared her life with us and
was always ready to take chances. A girl who valued friendships, relationships, and thought both
should be fun and lasting. While she was attending school at Lipscomb University she fell in love. Not
the love she expected, the man that would win her love, but instead her heart was in missions. She
may not have fully realized that yet but her friends observed it. Here are two of the last posts she made
to Facebook. Her mind was completely focused on missions. This first post is her looking back on the

The Female Body Is Always Growing And Changing As A Woman...
The female body is always growing and changing as a woman ages. From the time she is born to her
reproductive system evolving, getting her first menstrual cycle and having to worry about getting
sexually related dieses. A woman s body is constantly adjusting and adapting as it grows. Through all
the years of science most of the female body and how it works is still unknown today. The female
body is a beautiful mystery.
The female reproductive system consists of both external and internal genitals. Of all the parts that
make up the reproductive system the main two parts are the uterus, which holds and develops the fetus
and the ovaries, which are two cavities that hold the woman s eggs. The ovaries can produce and hold
anywhere from 40,000 eggs to 400,000 eggs each. The body then begins a process called ovulation at
which the ovary releases an egg through what are called fallopian tubes or canals into the uterus. The
egg then attaches to the uterus lining called the endometrium, which nourishes the egg during and
through pregnancy. While the egg makes its journey through the fallopian tubes it can either be
fertilized by the male sperm or not. If the egg does not get fertilized then it is expelled through the
vagina in a process called menstruation. The vagina is a hollow, tunnel like structure of the female
internal genitalia whose reproductive functions are to receive the penis and its ejaculate, serve as a
route of exit for the newborn, and provide an exit for

The Church s Role In Ancient Russian Society And Politics
The church s role in ancient Russian society and politics was also significant since it encountered a
semi pagan society with many barbarian practices and crude customs in the late tenth and early
eleventh centuries. These included a primitive form of marriage in which the wife was abducted or
purchased, polygamy, slavery, blood feuds and many other rituals society would deem cruel and
barbaric today. (131, Engelstein) While the church did not immediately eliminate ingrained habits and
prejudices, it gradually imparted new ideas and attitudes by educating people, changing morals, and
preparing the people to accept new standards. The church opposed barbaric customs such as blood
feuds and, together with secular leaders, attempted to formulate judicial norms and establish
appropriate punishments that fit the nature of and reasons for crimes. In these actions, the church
deeply penetrated the legal and moral foundations of society. This is another example of how the
Christianization of Russia started to shape politics and the culture of Russia specifically from some of
the earliest times of Russian society. (133, Engelstein) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These church people were under the church s jurisdiction and direct control and included monks, the
clergy, church employees and their families, among others. (134, Engelstein) From its inception, the
church served as a social welfare organization for the weakest and least fortunate elements of society
who were threatened by death or slavery in these barbaric times. In this instance, the church acted as
guardian as well as the government. This is yet another example of the construction of influence the
church had in shaping Russian culture and government. (134,

The Australian Financial Review and The Australian. Other famous newspapers are The Sydney

Gazette and New South Wales Advertiser and it was printed by George Howe from a humble cover
located at the rear of Government House (The Australian Trove). George Howe had printing
experience from the West Indies and London so he had good value skills to work at the government

Sydney Gazette and New South Wales Advertiser was printed with four portfolio pages of official
material and a limited number of private notices ( The birth of the newspaper in Australia, 2007). The
Sydney Gazette was the only newspaper circulated in the colony until the publishing of William

Sweatshops In Poor Countries
They are complications in international trade. Classical views promise the benefits to both countries
from trade but the complications are when you look closer at how that trade might actually hurt our
country, their country, and both of our countries. For example, sweatshop labor can benefit
manufacturers and customers but what about the people working in them, some of them would
consider their labor exploitation by force and others consider it exploitation by choice. This is the
division, their views. Another complication is wolves in sheep s clothing meaning someone or
something that tries to appear appealing to you under a certain circumstance is actually the exact
opposite. So, opposition to having sweatshops in poor countries come from ... Show more content on

One in particular question is could there be an end of the business cycle? To start, during that period
that stemmed for over two years of low inflation, low unemployment, and relatively steady growth in
the rich world really made it seem like it was possibly the end of the business cycle. But then when the
Financial Crisis of 2008 occurred and the Great Depression seemed to appear as déjà vu. A bad
monetary policy by the Federal Reserve was a big reason for the Great Depression. Banks and other
financial systems help circulate money and credit throughout an economy, so it would be no surprise
that a failure in the financial system can ruin an entire economy. And the problem with the financial
system is that it s stuck between market failure and government failure, all of these things point to a
possible end to the business cycle. However, we re still a long way from the end of the business cycle
even though monetary and fiscal policies have improved greatly since the Great Depression. Another
question posed was, could there be an end to poverty? To start, to be realistic poverty isn t going to
end in the 21st century. In low and middle income countries, poverty is so prevalent that even the idea
of an end to poverty seems intangible in any near future. However economists have presented a new
concept called catch up which states that per capita GDP in poorer

Biography Of Jeffrey Leonard Resected A Brain Tumor
On December 23, 2014, neurosurgeon Jeffrey Leonard resected a brain tumor in a ten year old girl that
was previously thought to be inoperable. Although it took two operations, due to modern technology
and education Dr. Leonard was successful. The girl fully recovered from surgery and was awake and
responsive the next morning. Modern surgeons knowledge of the human brain has evolved immensely
through the ages. The first brain surgeons did not have anywhere near the knowledge that we possess
today, but it is because of them that the current treatment of neurological problems is so advanced.
Doctors can now perform advanced procedures such as the resection of tumors and clipping of
aneurysms all while a patient is numbed and unconscious when previously treatment was a painful
shot in the dark. Neurosurgery has evolved not only through extensive research of anatomy and a
change in religious perspective, but came hand in hand with the development of anesthetics and the
world s major advancements in radiology and imaging.
Neurosurgery is set apart from every other field because it pertains to the most important part of the
body: the brain. If a person s entire body works perfectly with the exclusion of the brain, that person
will still never be able to function normally. There is a wide variety of neurological defects that can
arise in any one of us including aneurysms, tumors, nerve damage, and strokes. (__) The sheer
fragility of our minds demands highly skilled surgeons to fix

Analysis Of The Book The Bible
One of my favorite stories in the bible is about Paul and Silas and how they were able to overcome.
They had a mind to be triumphant. In a dark, dismal, and hopeless situation, Paul and Silas began to
sing. I m sure that they weren t singing any of the classic or mainstream R B, Country or Pop songs.
Don t get me wrong, those songs are nice. But when you are going through, you need to sing
something that is going to strengthen your faith. You need to pull out that good ol Thomas Dorsey,
Like a ship that s tossed and driven, battered by an angry sea; when the storms of life are raging, and
their fury falls on me. I wonder what I have done, that makes this race so hard to run; then I say to my
soul, take courage, the Lord will make a way somehow! In other words, though I ve been beaten, hurt
and taken advantage of, I know that the Lord will make a way somehow. Though the pain in my body
becomes unbearable, I know that He will make a way somehow. Like a ship, I ve been tossed and
driven, battered by the angry sea of life, yet, I will encourage my soul for the Lord will make a way
somehow. Every now and then, you ve got to learn to encourage yourself. You ve got to learn to speak
over your life abundance, blessings, and favor.
As long as the Lord allows you and I to live, we will be confronted with drama, confusion, trials and
misfortune. And the only way to deal with the mess is to realize that you are blessed and not to stress.

Could Napoleon Dynamite Have Asperger s
It was hard for me to watch this movie and separate Napoleon s behaviors from his friends and family
members. Many of the things he does and says are like those of the people around him. His overall
weirdness was not behavior that I immediately would have identified as Asperger s, rather someone
who is simply a little odd. However, as I continued to watch the movie I was able to find certain
examples that could be red flags for Asperger s. From the very beginning of the movie, it seemed like
Napoleon never opened his eyes. They are open just enough to be squinting, and they are rarely
directed to be looking at a person. Asperger s typically come with poor eye contact in social situations,
and Napoleon definitely has this characteristic. Even when he is talking directly to someone, he doesn
t have the comfort level to look them in the eye. The second thing is that he is very uncoordinated. He
is able to play tetherball, but just barely because he hits it with different amounts of power and so is
constantly jumping out of the way. When he goes out to feed Tina the llama, he is awkward about
getting the food through the fence to her, and then flings it on the ground in front of her with his fork.
He also has an awkward walk that gets especially odd when he runs and is very uncoordinated. The
third characteristic that is typical of people with Asperger s is a lack of interest in the feelings and
emotions of others. Napoleon makes comments to people that most of us wouldn t

war. Many were to care for their siblings and take on more household chores. Children in America
were very a lot fortunate than other children across the Atlantic. In Britain, children had to grow up

  • 2. Tennis History History of Tennis Tennis originated in northern France in the 11th century as a type of handball played on indoor court. The introduction of a racquet in the 16th century changed the game. By the mid 19th century, it was popularized as an indoor game on a lawn in England. Major W.C. Wingfield popularized the game and devised a set of rules as well as a court in the shape of an hourglass with a net 1.5 m high. Over the next few years, the game was modified as the court became rectangular and the server was moved to the baseline. When the first Wimbledon championship was held in 1887, the game was basically the same as it is played today. Soon after its popularization in England, tennis began to spread and develop in Canada. J.F. Helmuth formed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Compared to the contemporary racquet, even the best wood racquets were cumbersome and lacking in power. In the early 1970s, the development of aluminum racquets allowed for a lighter weight frame and a string area more than 50 percent larger than the standard 65 square inch wood racquet. Man is creating this technology and advancing it so as to benefit from it in all possible means by reducing work and taskforce and increasing productivity. Cyber security on the other hand is the threat to the data that is being collected, handled or stored by these companies. In our research study, we surveyed a sample of companies to see if they have the Data privacy policies governing them in protecting the data that they collect from very many individuals and companies via the internet of things devices. We go ahead to study the contribution of the lack or presence of these data privacy policies to the cyber security by looking at the trend of cyber security and we look at the relation between the privacy and integrity of handling the private data / information to the cyber security to see how the absence or presence of one affects the other. • 4. Changing The Physical Layer The physical layer specifics the function details for initiating, keeping up and turning off the physical link when moving the bits of data over the physical media such as copper, fibre or wireless. So it will takes your data bits of ones and zeros covert them to what is needed to transfer over that type of media so for example change bits into electrical signals for copper cables then will covert it back to ones and zeros once it reaches its destination to send up OSI model layers. When changing the bits so they can be sent over different types of media this is known as signalling. Signalling will change the bits to what it needs to be for transmission then is read by the connections at the other end. Protocols of the physical layer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If there is a difference a CRC frame error is generated to state there is a corruption either on the sending device side or the destinations device packet transmission. For detecting and troubleshooting these issues use the different types of show commands such as show interface and show spanning tree. The data link layer is responsible for controlling access to the media and formatting the data for transmission for going across the physical network link. So it encapsulates the packets from the network layer to suitable frames for the network media to use for transferring data frames from one place to another error free. The addressing used at this layer is physical addressing also known as mac addressing which is how devices are addressed at this layer instead of IP addressing. The data link layer also does error detection at this layer as well. The data link layer has two sub layers which are logical link control and Mac. The logical link control sub layer gives flexibility in services to the layers above so it will let the data link layer known what to do with a packet when gets a frame. This works by it will check the header to establish that the packet inside the frame it received is destined for the network layer. The MAC sub layer keeps a table with the mac addresses of the devices because each device must have a unique Mac to be identified on the network. At the data link layer you also ... He led about his income to his wife, he boasted it was $120,000, when in reality it was $400,000. Where was the additional $280,000? A secret life of cars and bank accounts. There was also Donald, the farmer who had obtained a $35,000 loan to replant his crops. Without his knowledge his wife Susann, with an internet gambling addiction, lost it all. Both examples are of deceit; one of hidden money, while the other attempts to hides her addiction. Sometimes a little deception may seem harmless, but in reality it will destroy any and all relationships between friends and partners. Someone may think, that won t happen to me, I m good with money or my husband is so trusting about his income , but what about your partner or your spouse, are they good and honest about money? • 7. Infant Caregiver Attachment The essence of attachment to a developing infant cannot be overstated. It is at the heart of healthy child development. Also, it lays a foundation when it comes to relating with others. It plays a crucial role in influencing the parent s ability to nurture and to be responsive to their children. The effects of attachment to the developing infant are long term. Bowlby, the developer of the theory of infant caregiver attachment, attachment security determines the infant s preferential desire for contact with his or her caregiver (Levine, 23). The child uses the caregiver as a secure base from which to explore the environment. When infants develop securely attached relationships to their caregivers, they will have positive behaviours in the future. They also tend to show resiliency to new environments. Attachment to the developing infant plays a crucial role in regulating stress in times of illness, anxiety and distress. Infants develop different kinds of attachment relationships. Out of 2.5 million car accidents in the United States, regardless of the driver s age, 64% of them had a connection to cell phones (Hopkins). That means 1.6 million accidents were potentially caused by distracted driving due to cell phones. Clearly these statistics show that while teens understand the danger of using their cell phone while driving, it s not preventing them from doing so. Furthermore, it is not just teens. Adults also are choosing to unsafely use technology as well. Teens and adults need to stop using their phones in the car before they kill themselves and other innocent drivers and pedestrians. Jean Paul Lawrence Kohlberg s Theory Of Moral Development Introduction The conscience of children is formed by the influences that surround them; their notions of good and evil are a result of the moral atmosphere they breathe Jean Paul Lawrence Kohlberg (the pioneer of the second major perspective on moral development) proposed that moral reasoning is developed when people pass through three levels which comprise of two stages each as they grow older. He investigated the nature of moral thought by interacting with children, presenting them with a story in which moral dilemmas were faced by the characters in the story. Kohlberg on Moral Development A professor at Harvard University developed a theory of moral development which incorporated the thinking of a Swiss psychologist named Jean Piaget and an American philosopher named John Dewey (Barger, 2000). The professor went by the name Lawrence Kohlberg. Kohlberg mainly used Piaget s theory of moral development as the foundation to develop these ideas further (Piaget, 1932). He incorporated the method of telling a story that presents a dilemma that Piaget came up with, which would give people options for them to choose what they would feel is right choice (Kohlberg, 1958). Kohlberg (1984) presented the dilemmas as moral dilemmas, and the way an individual reasoned the dilemma would determine the stage (with regards to moral development) in which he would classify them. Hyperthermia occurs when the body s core temperature reaches between 37 38°C due an inability to dissipate heat. In most cases, the occurrence of hyperthermia can be credited to a known reason. Examples include being outside in extremely hot temperatures without any cooling mechanism or vigorous exercise in extreme heat causing the body s temperature to rise. Hyperthermia is determined by an increase in core temperature at a rate of 1 2°C every five minutes (2, 11). However, in certain individuals, the use of general anesthesia can cause individuals to suffer from an inherited disorder known as malignant hyperthermia. The whale began to move quickly towards the ship. The men try to steer Essex away from the whale, but are unsuccessful. The whale rams the ship with its head, and the men are amazed. After the whale revives itself, it struck the ship again, causing the Essex to sink bow first. The men board their whaleboats after a night of preparation of leaving the Essex. Memories are a collection of information, which at one time was new to us, and as we learned and progressed, that information became stored as memory. When the brain encodes this information it is stored, waiting to be retrieved. Some theorists believe this is the basic foundation to memories. Associated with these two types are three levels, Sensory memory, Short term memory, and Long term memory. Sensory memory is the level, which absorbs the things around us using the five main senses, sight, smell, touch, sound, and taste. This level of memory is thought to only last a matter of seconds, and only moves on to the next level if enough attention is given to the information. This level is believed to only have a capacity of 7 items, and have a duration time of no more than thirty seconds. (Bjork, 1996) When memories in the short term are used more and more it sends it to the next level, but again this is only done by practice or repetition. She briefly flirted with a couple of other ideas, joining the military or becoming a flight attendant. However, her biggest adventure was yet to come. Finding out what plans God had for her life became the priority. What led her to put all of her trust and faith in Him? • 26. The Female Body Is Always Growing And Changing As A Woman... The female body is always growing and changing as a woman ages. From the time she is born to her reproductive system evolving, getting her first menstrual cycle and having to worry about getting sexually related dieses. A woman s body is constantly adjusting and adapting as it grows. Through all the years of science most of the female body and how it works is still unknown today. The female body is a beautiful mystery. The female reproductive system consists of both external and internal genitals. Of all the parts that make up the reproductive system the main two parts are the uterus, which holds and develops the fetus and the ovaries, which are two cavities that hold the woman s eggs. The ovaries can produce and hold anywhere from 40,000 eggs to 400,000 eggs each. The body then begins a process called ovulation at which the ovary releases an egg through what are called fallopian tubes or canals into the uterus. The egg then attaches to the uterus lining called the endometrium, which nourishes the egg during and through pregnancy. While the egg makes its journey through the fallopian tubes it can either be fertilized by the male sperm or not. If the egg does not get fertilized then it is expelled through the vagina in a process called menstruation. The vagina is a hollow, tunnel like structure of the female internal genitalia whose reproductive functions are to receive the penis and its ejaculate, serve as a route of exit for the newborn, and provide an exit for ... • 27. The Church s Role In Ancient Russian Society And Politics The church s role in ancient Russian society and politics was also significant since it encountered a semi pagan society with many barbarian practices and crude customs in the late tenth and early eleventh centuries. These included a primitive form of marriage in which the wife was abducted or purchased, polygamy, slavery, blood feuds and many other rituals society would deem cruel and barbaric today. (131, Engelstein) While the church did not immediately eliminate ingrained habits and prejudices, it gradually imparted new ideas and attitudes by educating people, changing morals, and preparing the people to accept new standards. The church opposed barbaric customs such as blood feuds and, together with secular leaders, attempted to formulate judicial norms and establish appropriate punishments that fit the nature of and reasons for crimes. In these actions, the church deeply penetrated the legal and moral foundations of society. This is another example of how the Christianization of Russia started to shape politics and the culture of Russia specifically from some of the earliest times of Russian society. • 30. Sweatshops In Poor Countries They are complications in international trade. Classical views promise the benefits to both countries from trade but the complications are when you look closer at how that trade might actually hurt our country, their country, and both of our countries. For example, sweatshop labor can benefit manufacturers and customers but what about the people working in them, some of them would consider their labor exploitation by force and others consider it exploitation by choice. This is the division, their views. Another complication is wolves in sheep s clothing meaning someone or something that tries to appear appealing to you under a certain circumstance is actually the exact opposite. So, opposition to having sweatshops in poor countries come from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One in particular question is could there be an end of the business cycle? To start, during that period that stemmed for over two years of low inflation, low unemployment, and relatively steady growth in the rich world really made it seem like it was possibly the end of the business cycle. But then when the Financial Crisis of 2008 occurred and the Great Depression seemed to appear as déjà vu. A bad monetary policy by the Federal Reserve was a big reason for the Great Depression. Banks and other financial systems help circulate money and credit throughout an economy, so it would be no surprise that a failure in the financial system can ruin an entire economy. And the problem with the financial system is that it s stuck between market failure and government failure, all of these things point to a possible end to the business cycle. However, we re still a long way from the end of the business cycle even though monetary and fiscal policies have improved greatly since the Great Depression. Another question posed was, could there be an end to poverty? To start, to be realistic poverty isn t going to end in the 21st century. In low and middle income countries, poverty is so prevalent that even the idea of an end to poverty seems intangible in any near future. However economists have presented a new concept called catch up which states that per capita GDP in poorer ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Biography Of Jeffrey Leonard Resected A Brain Tumor On December 23, 2014, neurosurgeon Jeffrey Leonard resected a brain tumor in a ten year old girl that was previously thought to be inoperable. Although it took two operations, due to modern technology and education Dr. Leonard was successful. The girl fully recovered from surgery and was awake and responsive the next morning. Modern surgeons knowledge of the human brain has evolved immensely through the ages. The first brain surgeons did not have anywhere near the knowledge that we possess today, but it is because of them that the current treatment of neurological problems is so advanced. Doctors can now perform advanced procedures such as the resection of tumors and clipping of aneurysms all while a patient is numbed and unconscious when previously treatment was a painful shot in the dark. Neurosurgery has evolved not only through extensive research of anatomy and a change in religious perspective, but came hand in hand with the development of anesthetics and the world s major advancements in radiology and imaging. Neurosurgery is set apart from every other field because it pertains to the most important part of the body: the brain. If a person s entire body works perfectly with the exclusion of the brain, that person will still never be able to function normally. There is a wide variety of neurological defects that can arise in any one of us including aneurysms, tumors, nerve damage, and strokes. • 32. Analysis Of The Book The Bible One of my favorite stories in the bible is about Paul and Silas and how they were able to overcome. They had a mind to be triumphant. In a dark, dismal, and hopeless situation, Paul and Silas began to sing. I m sure that they weren t singing any of the classic or mainstream R B, Country or Pop songs. Don t get me wrong, those songs are nice. But when you are going through, you need to sing something that is going to strengthen your faith. You need to pull out that good ol Thomas Dorsey, Like a ship that s tossed and driven, battered by an angry sea; when the storms of life are raging, and their fury falls on me. I wonder what I have done, that makes this race so hard to run; then I say to my soul, take courage, the Lord will make a way somehow! In other words, though I ve been beaten, hurt and taken advantage of, I know that the Lord will make a way somehow. Though the pain in my body becomes unbearable, I know that He will make a way somehow. Like a ship, I ve been tossed and driven, battered by the angry sea of life, yet, I will encourage my soul for the Lord will make a way somehow. Every now and then, you ve got to learn to encourage yourself. You ve got to learn to speak over your life abundance, blessings, and favor. As long as the Lord allows you and I to live, we will be confronted with drama, confusion, trials and misfortune. And the only way to deal with the mess is to realize that you are blessed and not to stress. Paul and Silas were victimized, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Could Napoleon Dynamite Have Asperger s It was hard for me to watch this movie and separate Napoleon s behaviors from his friends and family members. Many of the things he does and says are like those of the people around him. His overall weirdness was not behavior that I immediately would have identified as Asperger s, rather someone who is simply a little odd. However, as I continued to watch the movie I was able to find certain examples that could be red flags for Asperger s. From the very beginning of the movie, it seemed like Napoleon never opened his eyes. They are open just enough to be squinting, and they are rarely directed to be looking at a person. Asperger s typically come with poor eye contact in social situations, and Napoleon definitely has this characteristic. Even when he is talking directly to someone, he doesn t have the comfort level to look them in the eye. The second thing is that he is very uncoordinated. He is able to play tetherball, but just barely because he hits it with different amounts of power and so is constantly jumping out of the way. When he goes out to feed Tina the llama, he is awkward about getting the food through the fence to her, and then flings it on the ground in front of her with his fork. He also has an awkward walk that gets especially odd when he runs and is very uncoordinated. The third characteristic that is typical of people with Asperger s is a lack of interest in the feelings and emotions of others. Napoleon makes comments to people that most of us wouldn t ...
