The Romanian educational system is regulated by the Ministry of Education and Research and divided into pre-university and university levels. The pre-university system includes kindergarten, primary school (grades 1-4), gymnasium (grades 5-8), and various types of high schools (theoretical, vocational, technological). Students can also pursue vocational education or post-secondary studies after high school. University studies range from 3 to 6 years depending on the chosen faculty.
