Introduction
• Many people today live lives of quiet
  desperation (life without proper direction).

  – Sin pays short lived benefits (Heb. 11:25), then
    disappointment (Prov. 13:15), is non-satisfying
(Eccl. 5:10), and leads to hell.
• Christians live a life that is fulfilling (Mt.
  5:6), satisfying (Ps. 63:3, 5), exploring (Mt.
  7:7; Eph. 5:10) and rewarding (Rev. 22:12;
  Col. 3:24)!
Jesus Taught…
• Listen… toward the spiritual focus.
• Always be thinking about spiritual things!
  John 4:27-34; 6:27
• Are you listening?
  – Much more important than E.F. Hutton!
  – Pay attention to the Lord, let Him lead your
    life! Prov. 3:5-6; 16:9; 21:31
• God’s food is His words (teaching).
  Matthew 4:4; 1 Peter 2:2
  – We’re to do the Father’s will! Mt. 7:21; 17:5
Learn to Work

• Be curious, not oblivious!
  – Ask and Receive! Mt. 7:7
  – Seek! Sometimes it takes more work. Jn.
    5:39
  – Knock. Look for opportunities to do God’s
    work. 1 Cor. 3:5-10
     • Some have already been planted.
  – Jesus food was to do the Father’s will, so is
    ours! John 4:34; Luke 9:23
Work to Serve and Finish
• Learn and apply.
  – What to do. Mark 16:15-16; 2 Tim. 4:2
     • Do what you know! Col. 1:8-10
  – Always grow in His knowledge and grace.
        2 Peter 3:18
• Continue to Sow and Reap! Jn. 4:36
  – The time is coming when no one can work!
  – Then, we’ll be finished working. Heb. 9:27
  – How will you reflect, when you come to your
    life’s end? 2 Timothy 4:7-8
We Must Take the Road Less
         Traveled!
  • Christ has paved this road for us to
    take! Mt. 7:13-14
  • We need to make sure that we listen
to Christ, focus on spiritual things,
learn to work, then constantly sow and
    reap for the Lord!
  • Have you started on this road yet?
  • Start today, come to Jesus: 1
    Cor. 15:3-4; Acts 2:38; 8:37; 22:16
