This 6-part series focuses on developing a deeper relationship with Christ through strengthening one's mind, encouraging others, maximizing talents and gifts, and helping others come to know Christ. It discusses 3 biblical strategies for "No Limit Living": 1) Getting out of one's comfort zone, 2) Getting rid of clutter spiritually and physically, and 3) Being mindful of what one allows into their mind, body, spirit, and home. It encourages guarding one's heart above all else, as it determines the course of one's life. The take home thought is to get uncomfortable, catalog things that need to be cast out, and be watchful of daily influences, seeking God.

Rom 8:5-8 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Their Colony or community our Church
They are super-organisms we are the body of Christ
They live to reproduce, we do the same, though we both can’t
It’s not about them, it’s not about us.
Thoughts helpful in the life of the soul from Book I – The Imitation of Christ.
The life of a good religious ought to abound in every virtue so that he is interiorly what to others he appears to be.
With good reason there ought to be much more within than appears on the outside, for He who sees within is God, Whom we ought to reverence most highly wherever we are and in Whose sight we ought to walk pure as the angels.
As our intention is, so will be our progress; and he who desires perfection must be very diligent.

Stability is one of the three vows that Benedictine sisters and monks take. This presentation considers what this vow might mean for lay people in every day life. Originally given as a retreat at St. Paul's Monastery, St. Paul, Minnesota in 2013.
Meditating on the Lord can be one of the easiest yet at the same time most difficult activities we can do to draw closer to God and grow spiritually. (James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.)
One day when a certain man who wavered often and anxiously between hope and fear was struck with sadness, he knelt in humble prayer before the altar of a church.
While meditating on these things, he said: “Oh if I but knew whether I should persevere9 to the end!” Instantly he heard within the divine answer: “If you knew this, what would you do? Do now what you would do then and you will be quite secure.”
Immediately consoled and comforted, he resigned himself to the divine will and the anxious uncertainty ceased. His curiosity no longer sought to know what the future held for him, and he tried instead to find the perfect, the acceptable will of God in the beginning and end of every good work.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
