2. Analysis Of Albert Camus The Plague Essay
The evil in this world comes almost always from ignorance. Goodwill can cause as much harm as
ill will, if it lacks understanding. Wrote Albert Camus in the plague. Today, more than ever, this
quote is relevant in the context of Afghanistan, a country in the crossroads between South and
Central Asia, country mired in conflict of varying intensity since 1979.
In the history of Afghanistan, a state, in order to be deemed as legitimate, had to satisfy three
preconditions. Firstly, it had to be a broker between clans, tribes and ethnic groups. Secondly it had
to deliver basic security and ensure secure access to public services and infrastructure. Lastly, it had
to embody the concept of Afganistan as an independent Islamic territory .
The West caricatures Afghans as hirsute warriors, wild eyed extremists, women confined to the
margins of society. But it has little relation to how the Afghans see themselves. Integral to Afghan
value is Islam. Almost all Afghans are muslims and some 80 per cent of them belong to the Hanafi
madhab, the most liberal school of sunni Islam . Of the rest, most are Shia. Although most Afghans
are devoutly religious, they see religion as essentially a private affair, ideally conducted within a
community of fellow believer but not something dictated by state.
Key to understanding the Afghan concept of identity is that it formed in relation to others: to the
family, to community, to tribe or ethnic group. A person s sense of self and place in the

3. Themes Of The Lottery And First They Came
Both The Lottery by Shirley Jackson and First They Came by Martin Niemoller have a theme of
following the crowd can have disastrous consequences, but they do it in different ways. The short
story The Lottery is a story about a small village on a nice and sunny day. Once every year they
hold a lottery by drawing names out of a black box. Whoever wins the lotteryis then stoned to
death. In the poem First They Came the author speaks about his own experiences in concentration
camps. He says how they came for certain groups of people then for him. Both of the text deal
with disastrous consequences by following the crowd, however they are done is different ways.
For one thing, the short story The Lottery by Shirley Jackson has a theme of following the crowd
can have disastrous consequences. The story is written in 3rd person point of view, that may
not seem like a reason but because of that you can understand how more than one person feels.
The story declares, It isn t fair, it isn t right. That was said by Tessie Hutchinson right before she
was stoned to death, with the 3rd person point of view, we are able to know how she feels as
well as the narrator. Also, the story has that theme because only one person is killed every year
opposed to a bunch of people. The Lottery states, Then they were upon her. This shows that only
Tessie was being stoned to death. Another reason The Lottery is different than Fist They Came is
because it is written as a fictional

4. Disadvantages Of Electronic Media
Electronic communications have taken over young generations life. College and high school

of the news or information from the social media according to Rick Nauert, a senior news editor,
For most of the students reporting in the study, information of all kinds comes in an

about the side effects of social media and its use. Over usage of social media made young

students describe their feelings when they have to abstain from using media in literally the same
terms associated with drug and alcohol addictions: in withdrawal, frantically craving, very anxious,
extremely antsy, miserable, jittery, and crazy (Nauret). Students get so much involve in social

5. Mead Hall In Beowulf
The mead hall was a major factor in the Anglo Saxon culture. As the two tribes, Angles and
Saxons joined together, they carried on their traditions of mead halls and brought them to
England. The mead halls not only brought them together, but it also made the Anglo Saxons feel
safer and happier as a culture when they gathered there. It acted as a safe haven for them to
gather and celebrate, drink, and talk. Scops would assemble a group of men and women to
apprise them of epic tales. While other times, the mead hall was used for celebrating their
victories. Warriors often celebrated by drinking mead and feasting together; they also used the
mead hall as sleeping quarters. It was home to the king who had warriors that would do anything

Hrothgar rewards Beowulf and his warriors with gold treasures to celebrate their victorious
battles and accomplishments. The queen, Wealhtheow, bestows Beowulf with the golden cup
along with a gold necklace and armband. During the feast, Hrothgar gives his warriors gold
treasures from his treasure chest as an act of gratitude. In their culture, gold represents honor
and most would do anything for it. Gold is represented and displayed in Beowulf on the skin of
Grendel, Grendel s mother, and the dragon. It is also incorporated in the treasures. The dragon
guards it his entire life, and it is the mission of many, including Beowulf to slay the dragon to get
the treasures he is protecting. The moments before Beowulf dies, he asks Wiglaf to get him
some of the dragon s gold so that his last sight could be what he was fighting for. Treasures were
also placed on Beowulf s funeral pyre. Grendel s arm and the sword was another treasure that
Beowulf earned. Because Beowulf killed Grendel by ripping off his arm, Beowulf hung the arm
to show and display in Heorot Hall; the sword was his weapon that he took to try to defeat
Grendel s mother. Grendel s arm showed his bravery and loyalty to his lord and his men. He
showed by example to his men that it takes courage and honor to fight for your life for what you
believe is right. When scops tell the story of Beowulf, it is an honor to him for the community to

7. The Social Changes And Political Revolutions
To begin with, The social changes and political revolutions are to be sought, not in men s brains,
not in man s better insight into eternal truth and justice, but in changes in the modes of production
and exchange by Engels. Basically what Engels s means by that is the materialist formation of
history starts from the scheme of the production and how exchanges of things are produced, and
that is the basis of all social structure. Fundamentally, as in every society it has emerged in history
and it still is happening that the manner in which wealth is distributed and how the society is
divided into classes or estates is dependent upon what is produced, and how it is produce, and how
the products are exchanged. And this is what that needs to be sorted out. Therefore, the mode of
productionis playing a big role in today s society and also as it did back in the days. Everything is
dependent; one person is dependent on other in this society. Moreover, society is divided into two
groups; one group is whom who are ruling over the other group by taking his/her rights; capitalism
is playing its role. Moreover, changes in the productive forcesare more powerful cause of revolution.
In conclusion, Engels takes an historical materialist approach. He indicates that the capitalist mode
of production is fundamentally contradictory and from this he traces a series of social and
economic conflicts that follow inevitably from this basic contradiction by establishing Historical

8. Lee Vs Grant
At the end of the Civil War, two great men found themselves in a bind. Robert E. Lee, commander
of the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia, had a slew of wounded and malnourished soldiers,
and nothing to feed them. Ulysses S. Grant, commander of the Union Army, had resources to spare
and extended an offer of surrender in exchange for those rations. Lee accepted, and therefore forfeit
the Civil War to the Union Army. Throughout their four year struggle for victory, the two men
underwent many trials, and ultimately came to a consensus that the carnage had to come to an end.

9. Compare And Contrast The Valley Of Ashes In The Great Gatsby
Imagine a world where one side of the equator was filled with wealth, happiness, and content.
Now imagine the other side of the equator filled with poverty, sadness, and death. These two
completely opposing halves enhance each other s descriptions and make one think of each side
more deeply about the concept. This same scenario is also present in one of America s favorite
novels based upon the 1920s and the American dream. In F. Scott Fitzgeralds novel, The Great
Gatsby, Fitzgerald juxtaposes two contrasting places, the Valley of Ashes and New York City
, using
imagery to magnify the difference between reality and a fantasy, which is central to the meaning
of the work. The Valley of Ashes is halfway between West Egg of Long Island and New York
City. When one comes upon the Valley of Ashes, it is not what they see, but what they do not
see: sunshine, colors, or a settling feeling. The Valley of Ashes is nothing but a dull location,
filled with unsatisfied farmers, unsuccessful gardens, billowing smoke, and mounds of ashes
that are prominent below the gray skies. Nick Carraway, the narrator of The Great Gatsby,
describes the Valley of Ashes as ...a fantastic farm where ashes grow like wheat into ridges and
hills and grotesque gardens; where ashes take the forms of houses and chimneys and rising
smoke and, finally, with a transcendent effort, of men who move dimly and already crumbling
through the powdery air (Fitzgerald 23). Fitzgerald describes this location as unpleasant for
those who enter and it is seen as a vulnerable place due to the billboard of Dr. T.J. Eckleburg
looking upon the location at all times. This descriptive quote foreshadows that something bad
will occur in this area during the novel. As for New York City, in the novel it is defined as the
perfect place to live life to the fullest and not have a care of the world. As a reader, it is expected to
envision this city full of lights as a bright, restless, and colorful place. Nick Carraway depicts
New York City as a ...city rising up across the river in white heaps and sugar lumps all built with
a wish out of non olfactory money. The city seen from the Queensboro Bridge is always the city

understood the fact that many tradeoffs are made in a project, and a mediator was always in
favor of the group. My intuition that our group had an integrative characteristic to its negotiation

Beethoven, Ludwig van (1770 1827). He is known for some of the most influential pieces of
music ever written, Ludwig van Beethoven created a bridge between the 18th century classical
period and the new beginnings of Romanticism. His greatest breakthroughs in composition came
in his instrumental work, including his symphonies. Beethoven had a very hard childhood. He
was 1 of 7 children, many of which never lived to adulthood. His family was very poor. His father
was an alcoholic with a very bad temper and was very hard on him, however this did not affect his
love for music. He became the breadwinner of the family at 18 years of age due to his father s
death in 1792, which caused their family to grow deeper into poverty.
Ludwig van Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany, however there is no actual record of his date
of birth. Beethoven got his musical training from his father and grandfather who were also
musicians. Although he had only meager academic schooling, he studied piano, violin, and
French horn, and before he was 12 years old he became a court organist. Christian Gottlob Neefe
was one of his earliest teachers. In 1787 he briefly studied with Mozart and years later left to go to
Vienna to study with Joseph Haydn.
Beethoven s first public appearance in Vienna was on March 29, 1795, as a soloist in one of his
piano concerti. He had developed a great reputation for his music before he left Bonn, Germany.

however, it is just science!
Background: Electromagnetic Field: (noun) a field that is made up of associated electric and
magnetic components that result from the motion of an electric charge. It also possesses a definite
amount of electromagnetic energy. Electromagnetic fields, or EMFs, is sometimes referred to as
radiation. We are exposed to EMFs almost all the time. Almost all of the electronics or powered

Andrew Carnegie s gifting the means for better education to the public started advancing American
society. The libraries he funded helped the common man get educated, which in turn, helped society

education. The institutes and colleges that he founded and granted money to were scientific

libraries, institutes and charities to the general public, American society started to improve.
Carnegie funded many libraries in the United States, which he believed would help for the
improvement of mankind. According to the Dictionary of American Biography by Charles
Scribner s Sons, he gifted sixty million dollars of his fortune to libraries in the United States.
The thought process behind this seemed to be that for society to develop further, there would
have to be more public access to knowledge. Carnegie thought that libraries would allow for a
more knowledgeable society. In his essay in The North American Review titled Wealth he states
that, In bestowing charity, the main consideration should be to help those who will help
themselves... This belief shows why Carnegie would want to fund libraries because it is a facility
where people can help themselves. He wanted libraries to be available to all people who wanted

18. Analysis Of Samuel By Grace Paley
Throughout the story Samuel, Grace Paley uses language to generate a healthy dialogue about
the fragility of life by comparing the thoughts and reactions of all the characters in the story
leading up to and following Samuel s tragic death. The text leads the reader through four young
boys adventures on a train. The story chronicles the thoughts of the passengers on the train in
New York City, and their actions leading up to and following the unfortunate death of the main
character, Samuel. To begin, at the start of this story Paley tells the reader, Some boys are very
tough. They re afraid of nothing. (Paley) By using the words brave and tough, Paley conveys to
the reader what characteristics Samuel and his friend esteem and desire to possess. She goes on
to say, They are the ones who climb a wall and take a bow at the top. Not only are they brave on
the roof, but they create plenty of noise in the darkest part of the cellar where even the super
hates to go. They also jiggle and hop on the platform between the locked doors of the subway cars.
(Paley) Additionally, by connecting the words brave and tough, Paley gives the reader an idea of
Samuel and his friends mindset that day. The language that Paley uses makes the reader question if
their goal in jumping on the train was an opportunity to be brave in a way that was attainable to
them. The men and women on the train make judgments about the boys behavior. The women

the women were in the union; it was a strong force to backed them up. In 1983, the Equal Value

women at Ford used this to challenge Ford s discriminatory job evaluation scheme, but the
employment tribunal ruled against them and turned down their appeal in 1984. With their renewed

Anyone can be Anything: How Self is Shaped by Individuals and Society.

that Zootopian characters have the sovereignty to freely pursue their dreams, species stereotyping

about becoming civically engaged. I believe that whether or not people decide to be civically

could potentially contribute to lower turnout of the Hispanic population to the polls. Knowing that

22. How I Learned to Drive Analysis Essay
How I Learned To Drive Analysis Paper
In Paula Vogel s How I Learned to Drive , we follow our protagonist nicknamed Lil Bit on a gut
wrenching, and downright disturbing journey through her adolescence, told as a series of
narrations, monologues, and flashbacks with the occasional interjection of a PSA like voice over.
The play recounts the physical and emotional abuse Lil Bit encountered from the ages of eleven to
eighteen at the hands of her uncle Peck, while he teaches her to drive.
The main flaw I saw in Lil Bit was that she is too smart for her own good. You see this
characteristic throughout the play as she manipulates Peck. For example, it was most obvious for
me when their roles of adult and child are reversed, and Peck ... Show more content on

I was honestly disgusted at the idea of a man leaving his wife to be with his niece whom he has
known since birth, blood related or not.
Prior to the climax, one major event occurs and that is in the monologue that Aunt Mary delivers
indicating that she knows what s going on between Peck and Lil bit. The words used during this
monologue, indicate to me a couple of key points about this character. First of all she is very
intelligent. Her thoughts are well put together and the words she uses indicates to me that she has
some sort of education. She is also very intuitive, she picks up on the subtle, non verbal signals
that peck gives off when he s got something on his mind and presumably when he s around Lil
Bit. Also, the words used by Lil Bit in her different flashbacks have a direct correlation to her age.
It s obvious as you read them, that during the later ones she is forming more complex thoughts and
emotions, which is indicative of growth.
For the music in this play, Paula Vogel suggested period correct music spanning two generations.
She mentions Motown several times, as well as Roy Orbison and the Beach Boys. Most of this
music is romantic and happy with little hints of sexuality and sometimes pedophilic references. For
some weird reason the voice of the announcer in my head was played by the Moviephone guy.
The car in the play was described as a Buick Riviera, but in my mind it was more like a

23. Anglo Saxon Identity Essay
Who were the Anglo Saxons?
The Anglo Saxons can loosely be defined as the Germanic tribes who settled in Britain at the start of
the 5th century with the fall of the Roman Empire. The importance of these settlers and their
identity in the long term development of medieval Europe is emphasised by John Hines who asserts
that the breakdown of the Roman Imperial Order in Western Europe saw the emergence of entirely
new...identities . When considering Anglo Saxon identity, two main concepts must be addressed;
firstly the nature of the Adventus Saxonum and the consequent impact of this upon the native
Britons. Whilst there is much debate, evidence strongly supports that the arrival of the Anglo Saxons
to Britain was lengthy process which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The aforementioned work by Bede offers one of the earliest written accounts of the first arrival of
the Anglo Saxons but as with his assertions regarding the origins of the settlers, Bede fails to
provide an accurate picture of the pace and nature of the Anglo Saxon migration. In the first
instance, Bede chronicles the story of Hengist and Horsa, whereby King Vortigern invites
Saxons into Britain to help defend against the Pictish raids in the north, but then turn on the
Britons and begin to seize land for themselves the first commanders are said to have been the two
brothers Hengist and Horsa . When translated from Saxon languages Hengist and Horsa translate
back to stallion and mare , pointing towards the story being more a folk tale than an actual
historic event. Further to this, Bede based much of his work off Gildas who wrote the earliest
insular text available On the Ruin of Britain in around 540, and also accounted for the legendary
brothers they sealed its doom by inviting in among them (like wolves into the sheep fold), the
fierce and impious Saxons, a race hateful to both God and men, to repel the invasions of the
northern nations . As such, Bede inherits much of Gildas bias, which is displayed clearly through
his scathing language and comparison of the Saxons to wolves . The suggestion that the arrival of
the Anglo Saxons to Britain was an event, rather than an extended process aligns closely with
Gildas agenda to link

Hamlet, Agamemnon and Prufrock all display Hamartia; a tragic flaw, by doing things that are out

The terms religion and spirituality can have both similarities and differences. Religion can be
explained as a set of beliefs that has structure and is practiced within a group or community. It
involves worshipping of superhuman beings, and often contains certain teachings in which its
believers/followers abide by and practice in everyday society. Although not all religions incorporate
a God, the Catholic Church is centred around the Triune God (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit). Catholic
teachings reflect the actions that God/Jesus displayed for the sake of humanity. Religious art, is

This art pictures Jesus as the Miracle Worker . This is explained in full in Matthew 12:22 33.
This story explains how Jesus sent the disciples by ship back to the other side of the Sea of
Galilee after they became caught in a wind storm. When the first saw Jesus on the water they
were frightened. They believed he was a ghost. Jesus said to them not to be afraid. In the Gospel
of Matthew, Peter walked on the water towards Jesus, but doubted himself and began to sink.
Jesus reached out and caught him. After Jesus entered the ship, the storm settled, and they
arrived at land. Christian teachings consider the story a miracle and displays the importance of
faith. Peter didn t believe he could achieve what he set out to do, and ultimately due to this he
didn t succeed. This sacred story is another example of how religion provides certain ways to live
to benefit yourself and others. This interacts with spirituality as these teachings allow people to
develop personally and have a better state of mind. The main symbol evident is the light that
appears out of the darkness when Jesus appears on the surface of the water. This symbol
represents hope as Jesus has come to rescue them from the storm. The light also appeared as Jesus
calmed the storm and so the light would be perceived as a symbol for life and happiness as

Purpose:
To find out the relationship between gravitational potential energy, kinetic energy, and total
mechanical energy of a cart as it rolls down a ramp
Hypothesis:
If the cart rolls down the ramp with constant speed, then the kinetic energy will get bigger, the
gravitational potential energy will decrease, and the total mechanical energy will stay at the same
constant value, because due to the law of Conservation of Energy, these are the estimated results.
Materials/Apparatus: ramp (1) textbooks (3/4) meter stick (1) motion sensor (1) cart (1)
GLX system
Procedures:
The ramp was raised at a 8.4 degree angle using 3 textbooks
The length and the height of the ramp was measured using a meter stick
The motion sensor was placed on the top of the ramp. The cart was placed near the notion sensor
and released
As the cart rolled down the ramp, the position time graph of the cart was recored
One point near the end of the graph was chosen and was represented by its d2 and the reference
point, which was used to determine the height of the cart. (this point was kept throughout the whole
experiment)
The equation h = d (h/L) was used to calculate the height of the cart on the ramp
The slope tool was used to determine the speed at any point
The position and the speed was determined using the point near the start if the graph
These values were used to complete the first row
The other positions from the graph were used to complete the next three rows

Japan. Numerous states banned nuptials between white people and people of Asian ancestry. The
United Statesbecame full of fear and hatred after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in December

The Value of How I Am Seen Frequently traveling and uprooting what I have considered to be

observers of different generations or walks of life, it is the nature and history of my relationship
with my sister coupled with the significance this information holds to me that tells of the true
sacrifice made in giving access to such a powerful tool. Before analyzing the degree to how
much I valued what I gave my sister, it is important to understand what true value is. While value

escape from society in drugs and fast living. But what exactly led so many to this dangerous path?
Why did they choose drugs and speed to implement their rebellion? A preliminary look at the

Times were conducive to materialism and few seemed eager to change anything about their society.
As Halberstam pointed out, it could be dangerous to alter a system that was working so well (xi).
Fear of change, as well as fear of a sudden atomic death, led to anxiety within the superficially
satisfied culture. This nebulous fear of change, which needed to be directed at some enemy, found
sanctuary in vehement anti Communism (McNally 95), most extremely manifested in Senator
McCarthy s witch hunts in the 1950s. Anxiety focused on Russia; as Allen Ginsberg facetiously
wrote in America, The Russia wants to eat us alive (43). The Cold War indirectly resulting from this
anxiety brought with it the constant threat of annihilation. The fearsome power of nuclear
weaponry had been demonstrated against Japan and could at any time be turned against the United
States, whose citizens would then serve as sitting ducks for their own destruction. As tensions
mounted, preparations of sorts were made for nuclear war. Schoolchildren crawled under their

The word leadership is defined as a person who directs or guides someone and has the ability to
influence or have an impact on their lives. Christian leadership is distinctively different from other
major leadership conceptions such as instructional, transactional, and transformational leadership
conceptions. Those who live as humble servants of Christ, should assume the position of leadership
in any given community such as CBU s International Service Program (ISP), because you can
turn someone s life around just by your actions and you will be setting an example for believers.
In Mark 16:15 Jesus said, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Doing ISP
plays a role in leadership and you would be doing what God s calling all believers to do. In John
10:11 Jesus declares, I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the
sheep. Within this verse, we see the perfect description of a Christian leader. Jesus is referring to
us as sheep, He was not speaking in affectionate terms. In the bible, sheep rank among the dumbest

how CASS can help improve patients at risk for VAP and a patient care situation regarding clients

Ventilator Associated Pneumonia
Pneumonia is the second most common hospital acquired infection and is the leading cause of
death due to nosocomial infection in the United States (Augustyn, 2007). A patient who is
intubated with an endotracheal tube (ETT) is at increased risk of developing pneumonia. The
bacteria colonizing the oropharynx can move into the lower respiratory tract because the ETT
provides a direct route into the lower airway (Craven Hjalmarson, 2010). This type of pneumonia
is called ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP), it occurs in patients receiving mechanical
ventilation for an extended period of time. Ventilator associated pneumonia can be categorized as
either early onset or late onset. Early onset VAP occurs between 48 to 96 hours and is usually
caused by Haemophilus influenza, an antibiotic sensitive community acquired organisms (Collard

41. Similarities Between Early Human Groups
Any form of life must gather resources that allow it to survive and reproduce. The resources may be
food, water, sunlight, minerals, vitamins, shelter. Without these things, the organism dies. Since the
two most basic purposes of life are to live and to reproduce, it should do everything it can to avoid
dying through a lack of resources (Taflinger). And everything the humanrace did do. To thrive.
Throughout this piece, logical proven biological laws will give reasoning behind the claim that
there certainly was fighting between early human groups and tribes; Given that there was also
competition for resources. Thus subsequently this statement opposes claims towards a peaceful

I would like to preface before the argument begins, that a large portion primal biological
psychological prewiring is most certainly put to the very back of decision making in a modern
world of social and moral filters occupying the forefront. But with civilized sophistication revoked,
humans are very much rooted in animalistic biological psychology. Referenced from an article
titled, The Biological Basis of Human Behavior, Richard Taflinger states in his work, The three
main elements biology contributes to human behavior are: 1) self preservation; 2) the reason for
self preservation, reproduction; and 3) a method to enhance self preservation and reproduction,
greed (Taflinger). These 2 priorities, self preservation, and thus, self preservation to reproduce can

42. Free Will In Short Stories Of Sarah Jewett And Kate Chopin
Free Will in Short Stories of Sarah Jewett and Kate Chopin
Free will is an important feature of modern person s life. It is a philosophical term of art for a
particular sort of capacity of rational agents to choose a course of action from among various
alternatives ( Free Will ). In other words, free will allows person to make a choice regardless of
specific surrounding circumstances. Different systems of philosophy have controversial attitude to
this term. Depending on affiliation with certain school, experts admit or reject the thought of
existence of a free will. But, regardless of philosophical judgments, people often admit an
importance of the possibility to make independent decisions and administer own life. Free will
gives person an opportunity to decide in favor of long term, more global purposes; and this choice
can expose immediate perspectives to a risk. This particular situation was described by Sarah Orne
Jewett in her short story A White Heron. A possibility of free will sometimes became a vital feature;
Kate Chopin showed a literal reflection of this statement in her story The Story of an Hour. The
author demonstrated what catastrophic consequences can cause an unexpected loss of desired free
will.
A White Heron speaks about little girl Sylvia who lives with her grandmother in a lonely house
deep in the woods. The old woman took her granddaughter from the city, where the child lived with
her siblings in mother s house. It looked like Sylvia had problems with

43. Analysis Of Paul Basden s A Congenial Way
Paul Basden begins his conversation on worship by seeking to define its meaning. However, the
reader will learn quickly that this task is easier said than done. Basden examines worship through
theological, biblical, and historical facets and ultimately determines that Worship has never been
practiced in all places by all people in one way (18). In order to discuss the various types of
worship in a congenial way, Basden introduces six authors that are charged with defending and
critique each other s methods.
First, Paul Zahl defines and defends the practice of formal liturgical worship. For Zahl, formal
liturgical worship is first and foremost vertical worship. Formal liturgical worship emphasizes
structure over spontaneity. Zahl defines ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Best acknowledges that often in worship skirmishes what divides is not what is important, namely
truth, but instead what is temporal, namely music style. For Best, the most effective way to
worship is to rely upon the historical truth preserved in the hymn book.
In Chapter 3, Joe Horness sets forth an argument for contemporary music driven worship. This
style of worship has an emphasis on relationship. Horness seeks to set forth the true goal of
contemporary worship. It is not just about the instrumentation; instead it focuses on the
communication. Horness takes the reader personally through his journey from traditional
worship to contemporary worship, including his experience with Willow Creek Church. In his
chapter, Horness promotes an emphasis on connecting: connecting unbelievers with believers
and ultimately, connecting all people with God. He states, People of this generation are longing
to experience the genuine presence of God. And God is longing to move in and among the
hearts of his people. If we will learn to worship from hearts that are fully engaged, God will be
glorified and set free to move in us and among us (104). Horness ends his chapter with some brief
warnings for those involved in the contemporary worship. He then encourages all worshipers to
seek above all to bring their best to God

44. Should Computers Be Allowed in the Classroom
Introduction
Today, professors at colleges all around the country are asking the same question. They are
wondering whether laptops in the college classroom actually facilitates a student s ability to learn
or rather it distracts them from the lesson being taught. Laptops were originally considered to be a
small niche market and were thought suitable mostly for specialized field applications such as the
military, the Internal Revenue Service, accountants and sales representatives. But today, there are
already more laptops than desktops in businesses, and laptops are becoming obligatory for student
use and more popular for general use.
The conflict lies in that a majority of college professors believe that allowing students to use laptop

* Ease of Access Most laptops have doors on the underside that allow the user to access the
memory, hard drive and other components, by simply flipping the laptop to access the doors.
This makes laptop repair and troubleshooting far easier, and less expensive than most would
think. * Low Power Consumption A typical laptop uses 20 90 W, compared to 100 800 W for
desktops. This could be particularly beneficial for colleges which run hundreds of personal
computers, multiplying the potential savings. * Quiet Laptops are often very quiet because they
produce less heat and therefore require fewer and slower cooling fans making them less of a
distraction in the classroom environment. * Battery a charged laptop can run several hours in case
of a power outage and is not affected by short power interruptions and brownouts. * All in One
designed to be portable, laptops have everything integrated in to the chassis.
Disadvantages:
* Cost Even though laptops provide less performance than desktop computers, they tend to be far
more expensive due to its more compact and complex design. * Performance Laptops are not only
significantly more expensive than desktop computers, but they do so at a lower performance level.
Laptops as a result are disadvantaged when dealing with database, math, engineering, and financial
software. * Upgradeability Laptops have very few upgradeable components and are typically
limited to the

47. Aerobic And Anaerobic Cellular Respiration
Aerobic and Anaerobic Cellular Respiration Respiration describes sequences of enzyme catalysed
biochemical reactions within cells to produce life sustaining energy (Turtle, 2015). Muscle
activity relies on biochemical energy from Adenosine triphosphate (ATP), a high energy molecule
in cells which stores and supplies energy. To make ATP, a muscle cell (Myocyte) utilises Oxygen
provided by Myoglobin (a muscle fibre oxygen binding protein) and breaks down glucose in aerobic
cellular respiration. The chemical reaction yields Carbon dioxide, water and energy.
Structure of glucose molecule (BBC, 2014) Glucose (C6H12O6) + Oxygen (6O2) = Carbon
dioxide (6CO2) + Water (6H2O) + ATP Energy
To yield energy ATP is broken down, with the aid of ATPases, into Adenosine diphosphate (ADP), a
phosphate and energy.
ATP вћ™ ADP + Pi (phosphoric acid) + Energy
A sequence of Glycolysis, pyruvate oxidation, Krebs cycle and Oxidative Phosphorylation linked
oxidation reduction (Redox) biochemical reactions are involved in respiration. Glucose is stripped
of electrons which are added to oxygen and reaction releases tiny amounts of energy that drives ATP
formation.
(Horne and Bear, 2014) In the cytoplasm, Glycolysis involves the breakdown of a six carbon ring
glucose molecule and requires a two ATP investment but yields 4 ATP, two three carbon ring
pyruvates and two energy rich NADH. B vitamin NAD+ combines with energised electrons and a

Next we will discuss the Florida Aquifer System. There are many factors that contribute to the
storage and movement of ground water, porosity and permeability are the two most important
elements to this equation (Lutgens, 2012.) Porosity is the volume of open space between rock or
sediment and permeability is the ability for a fluid to pass through (Lutgens, 2012.) Rock and
sediments that allow groundwaterto travel freely are called aquifers. These aquifers are natural
resources that exist underneath the earths surface to store water. In the case of Florida s aquifer
system the system is considered to be one of the most productive in the world (USGS, n.d.) In its
entirety, the aquifer system underlies an area of about 100,000 square miles

49. Necessary Restrictions of Assault Weapons
Necessary Restrictions of Assault Weapons It seems that gunmen can walk freely in schools at
present. Too many murders with assault rifles and pistols happened in campus. The Americans
laying down under gunfire are not troopers patrolling in Middle East threating by terrorism, but
children having classes and playing with friends in campus. Every police officer and nurse
cannot forget the tears left on faces of who can never see the sun of tomorrow and even
celebrate their 10 year birthdays. Arguments about an old topic of limiting guns and weapons are
now rising again; but this time, parents turn to be main supporting force of such prohibition.
Emphasizing the right of owning weapons, which is protected by US Constitution, or at least, an
amendment, some people are still the resisting power against any forms of restriction of
firearms. However, even ignoring the fact that related laws are actually outdated, some actions
seem to be necessary for protecting children away from malice of weapon keepers. Therefore, the
restrictions of assault weapons should be considered to put onto the agenda due to the excessive
power of assault weapons, the obsolete background check system helping proliferation of firearms,
and erroneous interpretation of constitution of private arms by opponents. First of all, such laws
were legislated for self defense purposes of US citizens, but high power assault weapons tend to be
excessive for this concept. When a supposed criminal approaches, small

51. Similarities Between Communism And Fascism
The Goal of the Leader
Communism, Fascism, and religion were the prominent political ideologies of the twentieth
century. Each political ideology had different views on how to deal with the modern world.
Communism and Fascism were created in a time when the nations state was the most important
thing for citizens. Communist leaders rejected the idea of the state, while fascism embraced it.
Iranian leaders were primarily focused with Shi a, a sect of Islam, which was unique compared to
the outside world. In dealing with the modern views of the time the political leaders based their
movements on people or a concept, while causing a common enemy. Due to the time periods and
the location in which the political ideologies occurred the leaders of the movements had different
enemies, but the bases of communism, fascism, and Iranian Shi as is similar. Communism started

synonymously to name the group of people who were to blame for the peasants being poor and

trade, which is against communist ideology. The primary message of communism is that there is
no private ownership because everyone works together, not for himself or herself. The other
primary enemy against communism occurring in Russia was the old regime, which was Czarist
Russia. Communist leaders believed the old regime followed the footsteps of capitalism, which is
keeping the poor, poor and solely benefiting the rich. In having modern concepts be deemed the
enemy, Communist leaders of Russia were able to persuade the people of their state to follow their

Think citrusy oils for the kitchen and flowery ones for the bathroom. 3.Use A Diffuser This is
one of the more popular options when it comes to purifying air. Whether you buy your pure
essential oils or use homegrown herbs to make your own, it works. If you want to create your
own blend ideal to purify your air consider this combination: three drops each of sweet orange
and pine, plus two drops each of clove bud and cinnamon leaf. It s as easy as can be. You can
leave it running until the chamber is empty once a day, or more often if you feel the need. If you
have children you will want to be sure to choose an essential oil that is safe for them to breathe.
4.Herbal Air Freshener An herbal air freshener is an excellent way to reduce the airborne viruses
floating about your home. It s much like the diffusion blend and the cleaning spray combined.
You can spray them on your clothing and/or on your sheets and pillowcases before bedtime or
in the air and on the furniture. It s basically homemade Febreze, without the chemicals and
cheaper if you re growing your own herbs. You ll need 20 drops each of lemon and pine essential

53. The Growth Of Room 40 s Atherosclerosis
The growth of Room 40 s atherosclerosis progressed until an acute arterial occlusion was
formed, which stopped blood flow to the tissue. The atherosclerosis consisted of complicated
lesions that led to a decrease in blood flow and the presence of a thrombus, ultimately resulting in
thea lack of blood flow to the right foot and lower leg. Thrombi often appear after a rupture of an
atherosclerotic plaque (Coneliue, 2014). This lack of bloodflow led to necrosis of the tissues in the
right foot and lower leg and ultimately resulted in the need for the AKA.
The obstruction in Room 40 s leg was discovered using a diagnostic arteriogram. An arteriogram
is an image of the interior of blood vessels, such as arteries, by the use of electromagnetic waves.
During this procedure, a dye is injected into the artery revealing any bulges, weakness, lesions or
occlusions of the blood vessel. The ability to see any evidence of a a plaque formation or
obstruction within a vessel makes an arteriogram an effective method for detecting atherosclerosis
(Johns Hopkins Medicine, 2015).
After the obstruction was detected with the arteriogram, the patient underwent percutaneous
catheter directed thrombolytic therapy with alteplase in order to regain blood flow and nutrients to
the right foot and lower leg. This choice of therapy is chosen with the goal to quickly dissolve the
arterial obstruction (National Institute of Health, 2014b). Although the TPA in alteplase will not

slavery so many negative thoughts are all we can think of. It can be described in so many words
like immoral, abusive, no freedom and racism. There were also many ways in which people dealt
with slaveryand it caused harm and affected lots of people throughout history. 1. Slavery began
when african Americans were brought to the north american colony of jamestown, Virginia in
1619. They were shipped to north america as slaves. They set up a settlement , some men built
homes and some died the first year of sickness and hunger. John smith was a captain that took
control over the slaves in jamestown he made a rule that stated If a man did not work he did not
eat . They colony then started to become successful. Plantations slaves in the 1800s were called
