Paul instructed Titus that Christians should be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient and ready for every good work. They should avoid slander and instead be gentle and show humility toward all people. This is because in the past, all people were foolish, disobedient, deceived, and enslaved to various passions. But God saved Christians through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
A friend asks you to explain God's grace to them. You would say that God's grace is unconditional love and forgiveness freely given through Jesus Christ. God loves all people and wants everyone to know His grace and be saved. You could show God's grace is attractive by living with love, joy, peace and kindness towards others, including your family, friends and coworkers. You could also pray for opportunities to gently share the Good News of God's grace with others.

Paul stresses "doing what is good" in Titus 3 because God's kindness and love for humanity leads us to repentance. God saves and renews people through the Holy Spirit so His people can spend their lives doing good works. Paul urges Titus to remind believers to live in a way that is not slanderous or quarrelsome, but kind, showing humility and gentleness toward all.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

4. THE INN CHRISTMAS - 2008
From the desk of Andrew Anderson
This year has been awesome! And when I stop to
consider how much has occurred this year, I am left in
a total state of amazement – a surreal feeling at the very
least. If you would have asked me this time last year
where I would be twelve months from that point, I
could have never imagined, in my wildest dreams all
that God would allow me to be a part of. This time last
year I was unpacking the Christmas boxes, setting up
our obviously fake tree and
listening to really bad
music compilations – the best of Christmas – featuring the music
styling of such greats as The Beach Boys, Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey,
Dave Matthews and more. With the wreath hung on our door and the
presents piling up under the tree, I was reflecting on a year of life and
ministry in North Carolina while allowing myself to get lost in
thoughts of what might be in 2008. Among the visions were thoughts
of traveling as an evangelist and itinerant speaker, playing football for
the Philadelphia Eagles, giving Kobayashi a run for his money at
Nathan’s hot dog eating
competition and winning on the game show, Are You
Smarter Than A Fifth Grader. Needless to say life has
been like a box of chocolates, and I never saw what I
would get coming.
Okay, so, that said, I am totally excited about the place
that God has brought us - back in the 97045, a pastor at
Oregon City Evangelical Church, starting The Inn, the
interpersonal development as a person, father, pastor
and friend, my weight loss, and believe you me there’s
more. Wow! Considering each point as I type them
out is pretty unbelievable.
Thank you, God, for bringing me through 2008.
I am enthusiastically anticipating an incredible 2009,
and if it’s anything like this last year, I’m in for quite a
ride. Of one thing I am certain, I will count it a
blessing and look forward to living life with you in the
coming year. Let’s take this ride together.
