Paul stresses "doing what is good" in Titus 3 because God's kindness and love for humanity leads us to repentance. God saves and renews people through the Holy Spirit so His people can spend their lives doing good works. Paul urges Titus to remind believers to live in a way that is not slanderous or quarrelsome, but kind, showing humility and gentleness toward all.
