3. Scripture:
Praise the Lord that we can humbly turn to God in crisis and He cares for us.
Thank the Lord today for the ministry of Pregnancy Resource Centers in the
Portland area. Give thanks to the Lord for all those who raised pledges, gave
pledges and represented life at the Steps for Life Walk yesterday in
downtown Portland.
Pray for our country and the decisions being considered in the Senate and
House of Representatives. Pray that the Hate Crimes Legislation will not
pass. Pray that values of righteousness and morality will once again rise up
to guide our nation.
Ask the Lord to strengthen Christians as we live in a very secular society.
Pray that we will represent Christ and the truth faithfully and boldly in our
schools, businesses, communities and government offices.
Ask God to lead our Christian brothers and sisters who are unemployed to
find appropriate jobs and that we will all be generous in our support of those
needing assistance.
Pray that God's Church across the country will unite to stand against
immorality and unrighteousness in our land. Pray that you will join with others
to humble ourselves before God, repent of our own sin, and call upon God in
times of corporate prayer for the healing of our land.
Pray for Bill Copeland along with other members and friends of our church
family who are suffering from chronic illnesses. Pray for those recovering
from recent surgeries. And pray for those under hospice care and for those
who have recently suffered the death of loved ones.
