Paul instructed Titus that Christians should be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient and ready for every good work. They should avoid slander and instead be gentle and show humility toward all people. This is because in the past, all people were foolish, disobedient, deceived, and enslaved to various passions. But God saved Christians through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
