The Global Interconnection Index - Measuring Growth of the Digital EconomyEquinix
Digital is transforming all industries and becoming the growth engine of the global economy. To scale, the building blocks of the digital economy require Interconnection. Interconnection is at the center of today’s key macro trends, including digital trade, urbanization and cybersecurity. Until now, Interconnection, the private exchange of data between companies, has never been quantified or analyzed. By 2020, the Global Interconnection Index predicts Interconnection Bandwidth will outpace the growth of internet traffic by 2X and 6X the volume…and is expected to experience compounding growth year-over-year in all regions, industries and use cases. Equinix and IDC Webinar - Trends Transforming Digital ConnectivityEquinix
Equinix and IDC experts discuss the trends that shape the digital future and how Interconnection is changing the way businesses build next-generation digital ecosystems and transforming all industries.
The Interconnection Index Volume 2: Breaking Down Interconnection in the Unit...Equinix
The story the Global Interconnection Index (GXI) Volume 2 tells about the United States is one of a country with an unmatched history in the development and expansion of Interconnection, but with plenty of growth and innovation still ahead.
The U.S. is the most mature region in the world for digital business, according to the GXI, which analyzes global Interconnection – the direct and private traffic exchange between businesses. The annual report by Equinix estimates that by 2021, the U.S. will contribute 40% of the global installed Interconnection Bandwidth – the total capacity provisioned to privately and directly exchange traffic with a diverse set of participants at distributed IT exchange points. That’s by far the highest share of worldwide Interconnection Bandwidth, an essential enabler of digital business expansion.
The Interconnection Index Volume 2: Breaking Down Interconnection in Latin Am...Equinix
Emerging market dynamics across multiple industries and the rising adoption of digital technologies in business are escalating Latin America’s adoption of Interconnection, the direct and private traffic exchange between businesses. The financial services industry in particular is centered in Brazil’s vital metro São Paulo, making it the largest financial hub in Latin America (LATAM). And the convergence of submarine cable systems, such as Monet and Globenet, makes Brazil a growth hot spot for telecommunications and hyperscale cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google.
The second annual Global Interconnection Index (GXI) analyzes global Interconnection and estimates that, by 2021, the LATAM region will contribute 9% of the global installed Interconnection Bandwidth—the total capacity provisioned to privately and directly exchange traffic with a diverse set of participants at distributed IT exchange points. That may be the smallest share of Interconnection Bandwidth capacity at 750+ Terabits per second (Tbps), but LATAM is projected to be the fastest growing region in the world for Interconnection at 59% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) between 2017 and 2021.

Equinix's 7 Bold Predictions for the Connected Enterprise in 2017Equinix
Read details of each prediction from the official Equinix blog: http://eqix.it/2hn1bdh
We can’t predict the future of the entire IT industry, but we sit at an unusually good vantage point at Equinix to make an educated, data-driven forecast about what we see coming. That’s because we have the capability to look at what’s trending with more than 8,000 customers across 21 markets within ecosystems that sit at the center of cloud, IoT and analytics growth. And the patterns we are seeing show a massive digital transformation under way.
Digital has disrupted business as usual, and new revenue models and ways of competing are taking hold. To successfully make the shift to digital business, organizations are realizing they need transform IT by “flipping” their architectures from siloed and fixed to integrated and dynamic. This shift requires an interconnection-first strategy that enables enterprises and service providers to directly and securely connect their partners, customers and end users to anything, anywhere, on any device. Digital businesses simply can’t compete without an integrated and dynamic strategy to make that happen.
As things change quickly, we're taking advantage of our special perspective at the center of it all to predict what you can expect in “7 Bold Predictions for the Connected Enterprise.” We’ll be exploring these predictions in more detail in the coming days, but these previews will get us started.

VERSNEL INNOVATIE MET DATA SCIENCE - WERK SAMEN, OPERATIONALISEER EN SCHAAL M...webwinkelvakdag

Webinar: How To Manage The Event Technology Ecosystem - Breakthroughs In Inte...Builtio
Meeting and event planners work with many technology platforms that all promise to optimize their resources. But many of these tools only solve one problem and rarely integrate with other platforms. As a result, planners are often left to manage event data between systems manually, cancelling out any time-saving automation that was done in the first place.
Major obstacles have traditionally precluded planners from fully integrating their systems – time, money, access to expertise, complicated processes and lack of support from technology providers and IT departments. In this webinar, we'll walk you through how to connect all of your tools by yourself with a simple integration solution, an ‘integration Platform-as-a-Service’ (iPaaS). iPaaS solutions like Built.io Flow make it easier, more affordable, and faster to integrate, enabling planners to pursue opportunities to do so much more with their skills and talents.

As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
