A team of five designed a document about green cars. It discusses the types of green cars including hybrid, electric, hydrogen, and bio-diesel cars. It provides details on the Toyota Prius, Honda Civic Hybrid, and Maini Reva electric cars available in India. The document addresses the benefits of green cars in reducing emissions and reliance on oil, as well as challenges regarding costs and battery dependence.

To reduce the hours of time for charging of Electrical Car, we invented a method called Battery swapping, where user swaps battery with another charged battery in charging station in minutes, we used softwares like Catia, Ansys, Cura to implement solution. A mobile app was also created for the user to get to know where the station is located and for payments as well.
Electric Vehicles in India: Challenges & Opportunities Nitin Sukh
Electric vehicles (EVs) are no longer science fiction. Scientific achievements in this space have led to the mainstreaming of EVs in the United States, Israel and some European countries. India isn’t far behind either with Mahindra-Reva, Hero Electric and other domestic OEMs leading the front. Durable lithium ion batteries, fast charging networks, efficient chassis design and electric drive trains are key links in the EV value chain and extensive technological progress has been made in all these areas. However, for EVs to truly lead GhG reduction in Indian Industry and have a positive impact on the country’s energy security, the integration of smart grids and renewable energy feeds into these grids are a must. In fact, without these two critical components, the introduction of EVs into the current ecosystem would be an ecological burden and lead to greater GhG emissions since energy will be derived from a predominantly coal powered and inefficient energy grid.
Therefore, this study undertaken by YES BANK and TERI-BCSD critically analyses the EV value chain, identifying hidden triple bottom line risks and highlighting innovative clean technologies and business models that mitigate those risks, thereby making the value chain more attractive from lending and investment perspectives. The paper also concludes with a sobering and pragmatic analysis of the current and projected EV scenario in India versus the internal combustion engine.

India is one of the significant markets for vehicle industry yet at the same time it is far from this idea. This paper discusses various aspects of electrical vehicles in record with Indian market, its issues, support, inspiration and future scope.

Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Electric Vehicle (EV)
technologies are vital to the overall automotive industry and also to the user, in terms of
both better fuel economy and a better effect on the environment
An electric vehicle (EV) is one that operates on an electric motor, instead of an internal-combustion engine that generates power by burning a mix of fuel and gases. Therefore, such as vehicle is seen as a possible replacement for current-generation automobile, in order to address the issue of rising pollution, global warming, depleting natural resources, etc. Though the concept of electric vehicles has been around for a long time, it has drawn a considerable amount of interest in the past decade amid a rising carbon footprint and other environmental impacts of fuel-based vehicles.

Last fall in my Principles of Strategic Communications class, I worked with four classmates in a mini-’agency,’ Pure Communications, to create and pitch a campaign for the 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid.
As Account Director, I was primarily responsible for creating a campaign strategy from our extensive research and for providing creative, media, and public relations directional tactics. In addition, I compiled the various sections of our integrated campaign, conducted weekly meetings, and led the final pitch.

Fabrication of Hybrid Petroelectric VehicleIJERA Editor
In automobile sector, the need for alternative fuel as a replacement of conventional fossil fuel, due to its depletion and amount of emission has given way for new technologies like Fuel cells vehicles, Electric vehicles. Still a lot of advancement has to take place in these technologies for commercialization. The gap between the current fossil fuel technology and zero emission vehicles can be bridged by hybrid technology. Hybrid vehicles are those which can run on two or more powering sources/fuels. Feasibility of this technology is been proved in four wheelers and automobile giants like Toyota, Honda, and Hyundai have launched successful vehicles like Toyota prius, Honda insight etc. This technology maximizes the advantages of the two fuels and minimizes the disadvantages of the same. The best preferred hybrid pair is electric and fossil fuel. This increases the mileage of the vehicle twice the existing and also reduces the emission to half. At present, we like to explore the hybrid technology in the two wheeler sector and its feasibility on road. This paper deals with an attempt to make a hybrid with electric start and petrol run. Further a design of basic hybrid elements like motor, battery, and engine. As on today, hybrid products are one of the best solutions for all pollution hazards at a fairly nominal price. An investment within the means of a common man that guarantees a better environment to live in.

20. BREAKING NEWS
"The Tata Megapixel, developed by our
design centers in India, the UK and Italy, is
our idea of a city car for discerning
motorists in any megacity of the world,"
said Prakash Telang, managing director of
Tata's India Operations.
It "also denotes the company's future design
direction," he added.
The four - seater that the company describes
as a "smart global range extended electric
vehicle" combines a lithium ion phosphate
battery and an on-board petrol engine
generator for recharging on the move.
21.
22. Tata, which reported $27 billion of revenues
for 2010-11, said the vehicle runs for 100
kilometers on just one litre of fuel.
The group's officials did not reveal the target
price for the vehicle, but if it is low, it could
be a serious competitor in the green car
sector which has been dominated by
Toyota's Prius.
Dieter Zetsche, chairman of Daimler AG, said
carmakers are now investing large sums in
designing cars that produce lower gas
emissions, amid a global move to go green.
23. Susan Doherty, president and managing director of
Chevrolet Europe, said that, “"electricity is the way
go in the future."
A tightening of legislation restricting the amount of
greenhouse gas emissions from trucks and cars led
car manufacturers to develop new tyres that help
decrease carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, the Fox
News reported Saturday.
Most of these tyres reduce their carbon footprint by
making lighter contact with the road, reducing the
amount of resistance and therefore necessitating
less gasoline to push the vehicle forward.
In dire situations, the eco-friendly tyres may role on
for a longer time after the brake pedal is pushed
than traditional tyres, the report said.
24. WHAT THE PEOPLE
SAY???
On the basis of the Global Survey: Is 'Green' Set To Drive
The Car Industry? conducted by Synovate the
following results were obtained –
Is green mainstream? Can the lure of the
environmentally friendly vehicle outweigh the desire
for all the raw power of the petrol engine? Synovate
asked respondents to forget about money for a moment
and tell us whether they would buy green, dream or in
between.
The top answer across all 18 markets, if money were
no object, was to buy a green car, with 37% of
respondents saying this would be their preferred
purchase.
25. Thirty-one percent said they would buy
their dream car and a further 22%
claimed that 'my dream car is a green
car'... meaning that 59% - or very
nearly six in ten - showed the desire to
go green.
"Car makers are producing more and
more options that will appeal to this
fast-growing group of green-inclined
people," says Synovate's CEO of
Motorsesearch, Scott Miller.
26. FUTURE OF
GREEN CARS
Is the future of green cars
unpredictable???
…..and the
answer is………
27. • With fuel efficiency concerns continuing to get worse, hybrid
cars will have to play an even bigger role in helping the
environment
• They will benefit from the continuing growth of technology
• Because of future technologies, companies have big plans in
terms of what to expect in the future for hybrid cars…
→ For Example:
• By the year 2010, General Motors hopes to have their new
“Plug-In” hybrid which can travel up to 40 miles on electricity
with it’s rechargeable battery
• Eventually the cost improved performance and reducing size
and weight of fuel cell obstacles will be overcome, providing
another efficient and environmentally friendly source of power
for vehicles
