Location The Gibson Desert is located in the Western Australia. The Gibson desert is part of the Australian plateau and its between the Disappointment Lake and the MacDonald Lake at the Tropic of Capricorn. This Desert is and area where the stones and rocks are abundant.

Features The name of this desert have its base on Alfred Gibson, an explorer who died in their attemp to cross it during an expedition in 1874, with another explorer, Ernest Giles, who survived and named the desert in honor of his companion. The Gibson desert is part of the regions IBRA* of the Western Australia.  *IBRA= Interim Biogeographic Regionalisation for Australia
Fauna The Bilby The pretty and delicate bilby once lived across most of the Australian inland deserts. The Perentie The Perentie, a two meter monitor lizard that lives in the Australian deserts, uses the same strategy: it shelters in underground burrows.
Fauna The Thorny Devil The thorny devil is one of the most unusual looking animals of the Australian desert, and its adaptation to its harsh environment is ingenious to say the least. And there are some other animals that we will not put it in here.
Flora The Triodia is a large genus of hummock-forming grass. It’s commonly known as spinifex. Mulga is a truly amazing plant. It is also a good fodder tree, its wood is valuable for a variety of purposes and the tree grows in many parts of Australia.
