3. Visual art
The new art of our time and of all the followers of the
modern tradition in the art of England is a group of
artists born in the late 20th century. The Young British
Artists, or YBAs — also referred to as Brit artists and
Britart — is the name given to a loose group of visual
artists who first began to exhibit together in London, in
1988. Many of the artists graduated from the BA Fine Art
course at Goldsmiths, in the late 1980s. It is impossible
to answer the question: «What is so outstanding in the
works of «young British artists»?Similarly unrealistic to
describe in a few words the content of most of them,
not venturing into a lengthy philosophical reasoning,
which, most likely, will not correspond to the views of
the author. In this case, the artist is trying to encourage
the viewer to search for own interpretations, and their
own philosophical Foundation of what he saw. However,
he does not hesitate to provoke the emergence of the
visitor negative emotions until the full sense of disgust.
