The Pedestrian Art Gallery was co-founded in 2010 by Peter Macaluso and Gabriele Spear to provide free gallery opportunities for artists of all ages in their hometown. The gallery holds six group shows per year showcasing works by local community artists ranging from age 2 to 89. The gallery has exhibited various art forms including drawings, paintings, films, photography, jewelry, performances, sculptures, and more. In addition to gallery shows, the Pedestrian Art Gallery and Washingtonville Art Society connect community members to arts education opportunities like private lessons, classes, and information about arts organizations. Their goal is to promote the arts and support the local economy.
