Discussion In the current study, we sought to analyze the portrayal of gender stereotypical behaviors
in Disney films. We developed this study based on previous findings from Kirsch and Murnen (2013),
(Junn,1997), and Leaper et al (2002) and because of the potential implications of Disney s portrayal of
gender stereotypes in their films. We developed two hypotheses to test this. First, we hypothesized that
male characters would exhibit masculine stereotypical behaviors such as giving orders and being
aggressive, more often than feminine stereotypical behaviors and women would display feminine
stereotypical behaviors such as performing domestic duties and primping, more often than masculine
stereotypical behaviors in Disney movies. Second, we hypothesized that women would have more
fluidity in these Disney films, meaning they are more likely to exhibit masculine stereotypical

In Rudolfo Anaya s novel Bless Me, Ultima, Antonio or Tony Maŕez, is a curious seven year old boy
who lives in Guadalupe, New Mexico in the nineteen forties. Ultima, an old healer from El Puerto
who comes to live with his family, guides Tony towards a mature understanding of human nature and

Tenorio, who proceeds to kill Ultima. Ultima said to take life s experiences and build strength from

The first time I was introduced to South Africa was last year during choir. For choir we sang a South
African ritual which enticed me to look into the culture of South Africa to find out more things about

On the contrary to public knowledge, November 19th is a United Nations (UN) observance for World
Toilet Day. Although it is unclear as to who invented the first latrine, for Homo sapiens, public toilets
are one of the major markers for sophistication as a species. With eradicating unrestricted urination
and defecation behaviors, this helps humans to keep cities clean and overall reduces the risk of
disease.
With this knowledge at hand, one could infer that other mammals have adapted this same behavior of
sharing toilet spaces. In fact, rather than excreting randomly, many mammals have specific sites
assigned for this activity. These sites are assigned to specific locations that are away from where the
animals reside to sleep and feed.
However, where Homo sapiens differ from other mammals, is that human public toilets are designed
primarily for sanitation purposes. As described by the United Nations, World Toilet Day, on 19
