Since Standing Erect Man has been
Searching for Happiness
From Japan to Alaska and from Greenland to Antarctica, Human being
everywhere is looking for happiness.
The process of evolution is on and Man is pretty close to realizing his purpose of
existence.
I am going to share with you the essence of the efforts of over 3 million years
since Homo Sapiens first Inhabited Planet earth. And we have had a language for
roughly 10000 years only.
Thanks Giving---- Learning from the USA
I acknowledge and humbly thank all the people who inhabited this planet and
helped the inquisitive mind of man understand himself and his purpose of
existence better.
From the Nomadic Hunter to the modern Virtual currency inventor every one of
them has helped mankind evolve and move one step closer to Bliss. Some major
milestones in this journey that can be listed are
Fire, Metals, Agriculture, Language, Script, Arithmetic, Science, Philosophy,
Abacus, Computers, Internet, Mobile Phones.
I Want to be Happy
● Who or what makes this “I”
● What do we understand by the term “Want “
● “To be Happy” means ??????????
Understanding Happiness
Happiness is an elusive state of mind that all strive for but few attain. Probably
because most of us don’t know where to begin. Here I have pretty much
1. Identify Who wants to be Happy: When you truly understand yourself, you
can better structure your life and achieve happiness.
2. What Makes him Unhappy: Identify and get rid of what makes you
unhappy.
3. How to continue being Happy: Make a long lasting Happiness Plan.
Who or What is this “I” ?!!?
On this Planet today we have between 6 billion and 7 billion “I”
Common Traits of all these “I”s.
● All have a physical Body which include a CPU with Sensors
● All have a bundle of experiences which gives shape to their perceptions.
● All of them are having relationships with many “I” and other living beings.
Understanding & Knowing the Body of the “I”
● It grows continuously and is perishable.
● It consumes natural resources to nourish itself.
● The more the body is used the healthy it remains.
● The body helps the “I “ interact with the outer world.
● It can be in many shapes, size and can also be deformed.
Virtual entity forming the core of the “I”
● Gaining knowledge to satiate the curiosity and Validating the findings.
● Experiencing & record the feelings to foster improved perceptions.
● Imagining beyond the visible (real) world to seek more knowledge.
● Being productive useful wanted just fair.........
● Reinstating positivity in all situations and circumstances.
● Wishing the betterment of all the entities in the universe.
Relationships the lifeline of the “I”
● “I” is brought into existence by the relationships between more than one “I”
s.
● Inherits the relations and goes on to make thousands of them with other “I”
s.
● Share validated experiences and also enjoy others experiences.
● “I” can coordinate with many “‘I”s to innovate and share the feeling of
achievement.
● “ I” values the relations, nourish and cherish them to create meaningful
existence.
Purpose or Goal of the “I”
To gain knowledge continue to evolve for satiated existence.
● Produce and add resources which can be consumed by I:
● Understand and attain Clarity:
● Foster, build and create lasting relationships:
To assist fellow human beings the other “I” in achieving this State.
“Want” is an intrinsic characteristic of the “I”
● You can want only something that you know or have an perception about.
● Something that is lacking can be a want.
● Want can be fulfilled and satiated or it can be continuous requiring regular
fulfillment.
What it means “ to be Happy “
● It is Virtual and can not be captured by the senses.
● It can be only experienced shared and cherished.
● It can not be quantified or compared with anything else.
● You can either have it or not have it. No division possible.
● It can be very quick abrupt and highly intense.
● To be happy is possible both in comfort and in pain.
What Makes you Unhappy
Losing Non Competing , Create Non Snatchable assets
Being unwanted Nurturing relations & building on them.
Sickness & ill health Taking Care of the body and strong relations
Comparison Be aware of your Uniqueness every moment.
Low Self Esteem Work Hard and get the Satisfaction of accomplishment
Making the Happiness plan
Happiness is not knowledge to be learnt , but a feeling to be experienced. To
develop happiness skills, you need to work with your emotional make up and
acquire positive skills. :
● Be Strategic.
● Find the Gaps between you and happiness.
● Focus on skills that help you achieve happinesses.
● Develop the skills and keep improving.
Unique “I” should have a Unique Solution
The field of learning science shows that personalized learning approaches far
outperform one-size-fits-all approaches. A personalized approach can help you
learn skills that you’re weak at, skills you’re excited about, and skills that build
on each other in important ways. Personalized approaches result in faster, more
fun, and more effective learning because they focus on your unique needs,
interests, and abilities.
Key feelings which assist Happiness.
Being Productive.
● Acceptance: The ability to accept yourself and your emotions non-
judgmentally.
● Positive self-views: The ability to see yourself as a good, worthwhile
human being.
● Clarity: The ability to understand what you value, how you feel, and who
you are.
● Positive reappraisal: The ability to change your thoughts in ways that help
you experience longer-lasting, more intense, or more frequent positive
emotion.
How to cultivate contentment
● Rejection tolerance: The ability to perceive the actions of others as
inclusive rather than rejecting.
● Empathy: The ability to put yourself in another person’s shoes and see the
world from their perspective.
● Gratitude: The ability to be thankful for the experiences and people you
have in your life.
● Letting go: The ability to stop fretting and ruminating about negative
interpersonal situations.
Positive behaviors involving the self
● Planning: The ability to develop effective strategies and take actions that
progress you towards your goals.
● Growth mindset: The belief that your strengths can be developed through
hard work and dedication.
● Self-care: The ability to resist engaging in unhealthy behaviors (drugs,
alcohol, shopping, or overeating) as a means to increase happiness.
● Prioritizing positivity: The ability to make time for, and consistently
schedule, activities that you enjoy.
Positive behaviors involving others
● Kindness: The ability to be friendly, generous, and considerate of others.
● Autonomy: The ability to resist the influence of others, make your own
independent decisions, and take action based on your unique values.
● Expressivity: The ability to easily communicate and share intimate aspects
of yourself with others.
● Assertiveness: The ability to stand up for yourself, speak up, and
communicate your needs.
How to get started with Happiness?
Once you know your happiness strengths and weaknesses, choose just one skill
that you believe is a weakness for you. It may be obvious to you right away.
If it’s not, think about whether you tend to have more difficulty with thoughts
verses behaviors, or self- vs. other-related skills.
Or, if you tend to be poor at all the skills focusing on positive thoughts about
the self, start by focusing on one of those.
Don’t focus on many!
It’s important not to try to develop too many skills at once.
If you focus on too many things, you’ll have a difficult time making progress on
any of them. But if you feel up to it, you can choose one more skill that you think
you would really enjoy practicing.
Maybe you have been meaning to prioritize positive activities, and you would
really love to spend more time doing fun things.
Welcome to the world of Bliss
Once you have decided which skills to work on, think about
how and when you will practice.
Plan to practice building these skills at least a little bit
every week for a few months—and see if you get a happiness boost.
