More research is needed, including well-designed randomized controlled trials, to determine which fiber sources, characteristics, doses and durations optimize GIT health benefits and manage gastrointestinal disorders. Combining fibers with different physiological effects may be a promising therapeutic strategy.

The Ukrainian Dental Implantology Association initiated a project called "Quality of Life for Our Parents" to provide free dental implant treatment to elderly edentulous patients. Over the past year, around 1000 implants were placed in 400 volunteer patients over age 80 by 400 volunteer dentists. The project aimed to raise awareness of dental implants and their ability to improve quality of life for edentulous patients. It also confirmed that both the public and government have little knowledge of dental implants. The association hopes to attract attention to the problem and establish standards for implant treatment worldwide.
