he potential of the human future is boundless, akin

from two-and-a-half to six years old. We also aim at
building self-care skills and preparing the child for primary

Problem-solving, communication, reasoning, connecting,
decision-making, undertaking and fulfilling responsibility,

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought much of the world to
a virtual standstill. As a result, innumerable schools were
being shut down worldwide. Many schools collapsed due to
the economic impact.
Mrs Sayali recalls that, like every other preschool, it was a
very challenging time for all of them. Still, as they strug-
gled to come to terms with these circumstances where a
pandemic of this magnitude had derailed the best of
planning in the world, they were looking for ways and
means to minimize the academic loss for their students.
She states, “We then initiated a process to provide fruitful
academic experiences for our children, and therefore, we
planned to go for online teaching to make this time
productive and happy for our students.”

The Paradigm Shift
In pursuit of excellence, Angels Paradise Academy
continuously endeavours to create meaningful learning
experiences for its students. With this paradigm shift, they
aimed to utilize interactive, collaborative tools on a single
platform. Mrs Sayali and her team redesigned their
curriculum for virtual schooling and tried their best to reach
out to their students and make a difference in their lives.
With so much free time, they believed keeping kids on a
routine was important.
This was when Angels’ introduced its first-ever 24x7 online
preschool, Uriel Kids, to reach out to parents across the
Globe. “Apart from regular school, we also started after-
school activities like Phonics, Foreign language classes,
Shlokas, Chess, Public Speaking and much more to keep
the kids engaged and give them the joys of limitless
learning! ( ” shares Mrs Sayali.

Embracing the Novelty
Since the safety of the staff was of utmost priority to them,
team Angels started the practice of working from home and
all of them geared to take up the new challenges ahead. Mrs
Sayali reflects, “The next few days were demanding for us
as we were going to prepare for distance learning through
online content, pre-recorded videos, taking live online
classes, preparing worksheets and assignments from home.
We supported and mentored our teachers by providing them
various online training programmes to help them become
adept with online teaching through innovative and fun
ways.”
Since this was a new experience for all of them, they all
needed to practice patience, flexibility and understanding.
“After all these arduous times, we can proudly say that we
efficiently adapted to this new normal and shifted
seamlessly to suit the current need making sure that none of
our children are impacted. We arranged monthly PTMs to
stay in touch with parents and understand the outcome of
online teaching. We used various online tools to impart
knowledge very excitingly,” says Mrs Sayali.

She furthers that in the long run, they want to be an
innovative leader in childcare education where the child is

needs intermingle with their neurotypical peers. The genesis
of ‘My School’ dates back to 2011, commencing beneath
her multi-story residence with a modest cohort of seven
students. Within a year, this number burgeoned to 60,
signalling her calling. “Supported by my brother and his
wife, who endorsed my thought process, I embarked on a
transformative ‘I-to-We’ journey. To evoke belonging, we
christened it ‘My School.”
Feedback streamed in, not solely from neurotypical students
but also from their specially-abled counterparts. “My
School” stands as a sturdy foundation, nurturing children in
a wholesome environment where the ethos is characterized
by a thirst for learning, leadership, and joy. Renowned for
their learner-centric, skill-focused approach, their meticu-
lously crafted classes enable children to perceive the world
authentically. Their purpose extends beyond rote memoriza-

and Cerebral Palsy. She empathized with the struggles

complex endeavour.
Children with these conditions often require assistance such
as Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Group

parents about the requirements so that they can provide
support for their children without harbouring the guilt of
insufficient finances.”
Detailing the initial challenges she overcame to elevate the
success rate of My School, Mona highlights her foremost
concern–relocating from her home to a more spacious
facility. The second challenge involved communicating
with potential new admissions and fostering their
willingness to become part of an inclusive educational
institution. “Now, we stand proudly with 300 like-minded
individuals who embrace our vision.”
Spotlighting her professional principles and the attributes
cherished by both children and parents, Mona underscores,
“Parents of My School students strongly affirm, ‘We are
same same but different”. This sentiment echoes through
their experience, with the core value being that their
children consistently demonstrate empathy, embrace
equality, and celebrate diversity.

automated tools, which are transforming the business
landscape through innovative advancements, Mona unveils
that their current technological application entails an Active
App for textbooks featuring video content corresponding to
specific chapters. This approach proves highly effective, as
it enables children to refer, listen, and comprehend the
material multiple times, fostering better understanding.
Constantly Connecting the Learning Instances
“Within the premises of My School, we refer to it as
‘Assistive Technology.’ Employing the Multiple Intelli-
gence Test, we delve into diverse intelligences including
Naturalistic, Musical, Logical-Mathematical, Existential,
Interpersonal, Linguistic, Bodily-Kinaesthetic, Intra-
personal, and Spatial intelligence. This approach aids both
us and parents in identifying strong points and effective
teaching methods, as well as guiding our children’s
potential career choices,” divulges Mona.
An additional technological facet is the Brainwave
technology, built upon light and Virtual Reality (VR). This
