My father, Late Dr. Major S.K. Lal
commenced the business of providing
pathology services for the first time in
North India in the year 1949. Later in
1974, it became a partnership concern
with Dr. Arvind Lal joining his father.
In 1995, a private limited company by
the name of ‘Dr. Lal PathLabs Pvt.
Ltd.’ came into being till it was made a
public company in 2015. Dr Lal
PathLabs has become one of the most
reputed laboratories in Asia having to
its credit a record of 32 labs accredited
from the National Accreditation Board
for Testing and Calibration
Laboratories (NABL) and is also
accredited by College of American
Pathologists (CAP, USA).

number of new tests, instruments, and
ICT (information, communications,

Dr. Lal is accredited to having the first
PPP (public-private partnership) in the
field of laboratory testing with the
government of Tripura since 2004 and
later with government of Gujarat for
testing over 30,000 new-born babies in
2011- 2012.
He is currently the Chairman of FICCI
Task Force on Swasth Bharat (Public
Health) and Advisor of FICCI’s Health
Services Committee. He is also its
former Chairman. Dr. Lal is also the
former President of NATHEALTH and
the Health Services Committee of the
PHD Chamber of Commerce.

We are in the business of providing
quality diagnostic services to the

Currently we operate 216 labs,

conditioned classrooms.

We were able to overcome this by
educating parents on the importance of

also able to instill confidence in the
parents by providing a safe and

trained staff to take care of the child.
Today things are different, there are
many nuclear families where both
parents work and nobody at home to
take care of the little ones and hence
there is a dire need for quality
preschools.
