10. Your Guide to Achieving Exponential Growth
Cover Story
Strategy, Business Development, People,
Execution, and Mission are five organizational
disciplines that every business must have in
order to truly grow and succeed.
12. When you set out to achieve any goal in life it is
imperative that you have a guiding hand that
can assist you in figuring out the nooks and
crannies of your niche. Having a guide can prove to be of
great advantage as they can provide you with the
appropriate tools, knowledge, and techniques to help you
achieve your desired goal.
This applies to businesses and organizations as well. For
firms to attain their objectives, they sometimes need a
guiding hand to assist them in doing so. To provide for this
very need, AddingZEROS came into existence.
AddingZEROS is a company that works with executives to
achieve exponential growth, helping them scale in multiples
rather than small percentage increases. The company
provides organizations with the tools and the guidance to
add zeros in every aspect of the business – revenue, margin,
profit, customer acquisition, customer retention, employee
engagement, employee retention, and community
involvement.
Inception of Brilliance
AddingZEROS focuses on preparing organizations for the
future by offering a three-fold promise: advance your
career, transform your company, and achieve incredible
results.
To keep these promises, AddingZEROS guides CEOs and
executive teams in recognizing leadership qualities and
management skills that they may not be maximizing.
Secondly, they help organizations create and direct their
desired culture, engagement and team alignment.
Lastly, the firm assists its clients in defining their
organizational strategy (both short and long term) and
prioritizing actions to attain their intended outcomes.
Monte Wyatt, the CEO and Organizational Development
Facilitator at AddingZEROS says, “We hope that by having
this conversation, we will be able to simplify some of the
more difficult concepts. Strategy, Business Development,
People, Execution, and Mission are five organizational
disciplines that every business must have in order to truly
grow and succeed. Every part of an organization must be
related to and intertwined with these disciplines.”
Sustaining the Competitive Spirit
At AddingZEROS, the customer engagement process
begins with a two-day strategy session with the CEO and
management team. The method encourages talks in all areas
of the business, teaches business leadership best practices,
and then determines how to integrate the five disciplines
into the company’s daily operations.
Following the completion of this two-day workshop,
AddingZEROS offers executive development twice a month
to assist with implementation, execution, leadership, and
management development.
13. Most Promising Leadership Development and Coaching Companies
Following these sessions, an executive team meeting is held
every 90 days to assess the previous 90 days and plan the
upcoming 90. It aids in the establishment of clear priorities
for an organization and its various departments.
Talking about the key aspects that makes AddingZEROS
stand out in the cutthroat competition, Monte said, “A
successful business is one that is sustainable, predictable,
stable, consistent, and has an emotional connection with its
employees and consumers.”
“Our name clearly explains our purpose: AddingZEROS
not only adds zeros to revenue and earnings but to all
elements of the organization, including client acquisition,
client retention, staff engagement, employee retention, and
community involvement.”
Experienced Leadership
Expanding upon his journey in the industry and his
contributions to the success of the firm, Monte said, “My
career started with 14 years in global agricultural chemical
manufacturing with time in sales, sales training, sales
management, and marketing management. I gained
experience in every aspect of the business, especially
growing team members and their skill sets. With that in
mind, I decided to create my own organization and make an
impact in many industries and executive teams.”
“For the past 17+ years, I have been bringing clarity to how
executives lead and manage their organizations. Not only
do I work with clients on a daily basis, but I am also
training executive development facilitators around the
world. Our ‘Strategic Thinking, Execution Planning’
process is making great strides in many cultures, languages,
and industries.”
“My desire is to influence and impact one million
executives in the next ten years. We are well on our way,
and it is exciting to see the energy and results,” added
Monte.
Disruptive Markets
With so many things disrupting every business right now,
Monte had this to say while explaining how AddingZEROS
is helping organizations adapt to change, “When we discuss
organizational strategy with our clients, we help bring
clarity to four areas; the opportunity that the business
chooses to fill, the leverage the organization can utilize to
create long term efficiencies, the ease to scale or duplicate
in other geographies or markets, and the marketability of a
business or how easy is it to access their target audience and
share their message.”
Additionally, he quoted, “A clear strategy defines how an
organization will win. A clear strategy also brings clarity to
how each employee can help achieve the company goals
and results. Every organization must consider how
A successful business is one that is

whereas how you get there and how fast you should adapt
based on new technologies and new information may keep

organization because of the time we invested in creating
leverage points and scalability tools, and best practices,”
Monte expressed.
Overcoming Adversities
Describing the situation brought about by the pandemic on
the company and how AddingZEROS emerged successfully
through it while ensuring the safety of its employees, Monte
stated, “During the peak of the pandemic, most companies
sent their people home, and businesses had to adapt. We
immediately went from face-to-face to Zoom and Teams
meetings.”
“In this remote world, leadership and management are
needed more than ever. Leadership creates passionate and
focused team members, while management creates
competent and productive team members. For ourselves and
our customers, we had to adjust our leadership and
management routines and behaviors People need to be led.
A true leader influences, motivates, and enables team
members to open up their minds to new perspectives by
instilling passion and spirit in them. This became a greater
focus when remote. Results, focus, and accountability
practices had to be re-evaluated and adapted to ensure that
work was still getting done.”
Opinions that Matter
Advising budding entrepreneurs, executives, and those who
aspire to have growth organizations, Monte had this to say,
“To me, the most important aspect of life is learning. The
more you learn, the easier and more prosperous your job
and life becomes. The more you learn and execute on
knowledge, success and achievement come your way. Learn
how to lead, learn how to think, learn how to handle,
conduct, and control yourself, your work approach, and
processes. Your future self will appreciate you with a bright
smile.”
Spearheading Towards Success
While talking about the company’s future endeavors, Monte
said, “We have 30 facilitators operating in nine countries
right now. We intend to expand both geographically and in
terms of facilitators. Our primary goal is to positively
impact executives by assisting them in developing their
leadership and management abilities while also increasing
staff retention, engagement, and financial success.”
“Our goal is to reach a million executives globally by 2030.
Many firms will benefit from improved alignment,
increased engagement, and amazing employee emotional
connections when it happens. I’m looking forward to seeing
what the future holds for AddingZEROS,” concluded
Monte.
19. Running a small or new business is like 'walking on a
thin line', continually balancing all aspects of the
business operations. And, even after its effective
implementation, there remains the possibility to improve and
optimize operations. Usually, due to the absence of expertise
and/or resources, there is a threat that the optimization areas

Such obliviousness can cause random problems every day,
leading to a reduction in overall productivity. While big
enterprises avail every resource to tackle such issues and

Please brief our audience about your company, its USPs,
and how it is currently positioned as a reliable firm in its
nichemarket.
At Clubnet, we work mostly with impact entrepreneurs to
build thriving businesses without all the overwhelm. We do
this by refining their WoW! (Way of Working) and aligning it
with their personal and professional Ikigai so they can
continue to scale their impact. We work with impact
entrepreneurs because their focus on the triple bottom line
extends past simple profit-making, which enables us to
amplify our own impact. Their focus on building humane and
socially responsible workplaces also enables us to employ
management recommendations based on leading practices
thatarenotverywelladoptedyetinthemarket.
Clubnet firmly believes that small businesses can
significantly contribute to society and their communities.
Small businesses have consistently demonstrated that they are
more responsible than giant corporations. They treat their
employees better and are more likely to keep them even in
toughtimes;theycreatejobsandsupport localeconomies.
What differentiates us is that we are more like partners than
vendors to our clients. We want to collaborate with leaders to
build their businesses and create a network of professionals
that amplify each other's impact. Our clients often hear from
us long after we have wrapped up a paid engagement. When
we learn of new practices and opportunities that current and
past clients can benefit from, we get in touch and offer up
valuableinformationwheneverwe can.
Shed some light on yourofferings and how they impact the
industry and yourclients?
We have a variety of offerings for our clients. For those
looking for a structured engagement, we offer an initial
evaluation and report, plus a package of monthly hours to
support the implementation of recommendations. For those
that want to experience the power of what we can do, we
engage on an hourly basis. This gives us an opportunity to
follow the thread and deep dive into business strategy and
operations. That's when we can really make profound
recommendations.
We have extensive expertise in scaling businesses; however,
since the start of the pandemic, we work a lot around lowering
costs for our customers (by as much as a third!). We explore
strategic, operational, and financial planning and
management aimed to optimize the business while reducing
wastedefforts andcosts.

Please tell us about your journey in the industry and how
youhave contributedto the company's success.
When I was in the corporate business, I always loved the
leadership aspect, the idea of developing people and bringing
out the best in them — just, generally, helping them find their
pathinlife.
However, working in big companies, it was difficult to
actually make a difference in employees' lives because you
are constantly constrained by the business practices that these
organizations have. So, the last two to five years of my
corporate life were very demotivating, and I literally saw a
team of 300+ people get burnt out. Due to an unfortunate
combination of personal and professional challenges, I was
very much burnt out too. On the recommendation of my
doctor, I took a mental health leave. Upon coming back, I was
justabsolutelyappalled.
A company and a team that supposedly were committed to
mental health failed to help me integrated back into the
organization. In fact, I felt like an outsider, no longer to be
trusted by the team. Plus, having some time off gave me a
different perspective on what the workplace was actually like,
and I saw clearly how much of a mismatch existed between
thecorporatecultureandmypersonalandprofessionalIkigai.
I had intended to start my own business for a while, and then,
due to COVID-19, my partner and I were both laid off.At first,
I could not believe it but once the shock wore off, I realized
this was an opportunity for us. We could focus our efforts on
building Clubnet and working with people, making sure that
other teams do not experience what we experience in the
workplace.
Being an experienced leader, share your opinion on how
the adoption of modern technologies has impacted the
industry and how is your company riding the technology
wave?
There is a proliferationof tools thatare now availableto small
and mid-sized businesses at an affordable price point. That's
great, but when left unchecked, bringing in multiple tools into
a business can cause inefficiencies. So, we focus a lot on
limiting the tool kit by using each tool to its maximum
potential. With fewer handoffs and data residing in multiple
systems,we canbetterstreamlineprocesses.
We employ the same way of thinking within our own
company. We think long and hard before introducing any new
technologies. We certainly explore tools that are new to the
market so we can evaluate them. Both my partner and I are
tech geeks, so we love to experiment. But we do not
permanently alter our toolset unless something revolutionary
comes to market. We will not swap tools just because a shiny
new feature came out.The value proposition needs to be much
strongerfor us todisruptourWoW!
What would be youradvice to budding entrepreneurs who
aspireto ventureintothe leadershipdevelopmentsector?
It's a great time to be in leadership development. Even if you
are not looking to build your own coaching or consulting
business, the market for leadership development is growing.
Coaching, mentorship, and other development activities are
nolongerreservedforthe"top"echelonsof anorganization.
Companies like BetterUp and GrowthSpace are bringing
coaching and personal and professional development to the
masses. Mid-level and front-line leaders can now get the
support they need to be the best leaders they possibly can be!
And in my personal experience, their transformations are
inspirational and likely to do more to improve organizational
performancethanexecutivecoaching.
How do you envision scaling your organization's
operations and offeringsin2022and beyond?
Many businesses stall before exponential growth because
their leaders do not know how to plan for the future or because
they are unable to give up control. Whether looking to scale
your business to sell, obtain funding or keep control, it is
important to build a brand that goes beyond your personal
brand.
ACEO must set the groundwork and put in place the building
blocks necessary for a firm's long-term success. And that's
whatwe aredoingatClubnetaswell.
We distill our expertise into manageable chunks and instill it
in employees and partners we work with. I will not be able to
be with every client, but what is important now is to ensure the
quality of Clubnet's service will be the same even if I am not
directlydeliveringanengagement.

22. How to
Fostera Company
Culture that Values
MentalHea h
The ideation of sprouting an organization is deep-rooted in the philosophy of
people-centric leadership. When a corporate establishes an organization to
facilitate a solution to an ongoing challenge in the business market, it is not
simply about a demand-supply chain. Still, it takes a profound toll on how the
workflow management is executed and human resource is managed while satisfying
the basic need of the employees too.
When one combines these verticals and maps out the strategy of running an
organization, it might look like a hype of chaos. Knowing the intricacies, one might
start looking at a one-stop solution that can solve these challenges and form an
organized pipeline that smoothens the process.
In order to achieve this one-stop solution, the best pick is to revamp the
Organizational Culture.
But still, the question prevails- ‘What is an organization and how to revamp its
culture, and what are its benefits?’
If you are intrigued by the above ideation, this article will prove to be your perfect
match!
Follow the trail.
Inside the organization’s space!
As you step inside a business market, demand supply is the most important
mechanism that alters or enhances a business. Be it the good procurement,
manufacturing, service facilitation, or a company workflow, the most important
stakeholder is the workforce, the organization’s community, and its employees.
Henceforth, the growth of an organization depends upon the people-centric
leadership and the social policies deployed.
Worldwide, different corporates have been indulged in the alarming debate that
| March 2022 www.insightssuccess.com

23. concludes that toxic work culture can affect the mental
health of not only the employees but also the employer.
In such a scenario, it is important to understand the
philosophic underpinning and etymology of culture.
Culture(meaning): the ways of life, including arts, beliefs,
and institutions of a population that are passed down from
generation to generation. Culture has been called “the way
of life for an entire society.” As such, it includes codes of
manners, dress, language, religion, rituals, and art.
As per the defined and known meaning of culture, the way
of lifestyle has been the most comprehended understanding,
but one might ask- ‘Who defines this way?’ Is it the
traditional practices, present necessities, defined principles,
or the ever-evolving practices as per the social setting?
Answering this dilemma is the article’s next segment –
Understanding Culture!
Imbibing culture in a Business organization
As a company is established and a community is fostered,
there needs to be a subjective consideration of a multitude
of situations, individual preferences, social sensitivity, and
positive intent to foster the organization’s community as a
family rather than a mere transaction of socio-political
capitalistic consideration.
Organizations need to focus on productive solutions rather
than stringent red tape to harness these objectives. The
employees who work for an agreed shift have an extended
social- ecosystem, and if the balance between professional
duties and the social ecosystem is not met, it affects their
social psyche.
To plot the explanation in a situational mapping, consider a
company that follows few rules and regulations about its
disciplines but affects employees’ growth or their continuity
of jobs if not adhered to. This situation has drastic effects
on the employee pool and the organizational culture. The
red tapes were once adopted to establish a system, but if the
same system is about to break the shackles of an
establishment rather than strengthening it, the best solution
is to keep guidelines to run a system than the dreadful red
tapes and stringent regulations.
Understanding that culture is more like a guiding light for
the workflow alignment rather than the red tape to
centralize power is the key to moving ahead. So, let us
move on to the next segment that speaks about the
strategies that can help any organization nurture its
employees’ mental health.
A Go-To Strategy
If the objective is to provide a positive culture, it is
important to consider employees and their well-being at the
focal point.
Below are the four guidelines to consider while fostering
organizational culture:
• Facilitating equal opportunity
As an employer, seeking a benefactor from the employee
is not harmful, but no restricting employees’ natural
growth has a devastating impact. While managing
employees, the cascading growth needs to be
acknowledged and celebrated. The growth of each
employee in an organization could be subjective, but it is
the efforts that must be evaluated than the final results.
• Talent Management
In a social setting of an organization, various skillsets and
potentials must be utilized and promoted to be celebrated.
It is essential that traditional celebrations, sports
activities, and cultural events are conducted. This
connects the employee pool and helps in employee
engagement, ultimately building up a culture that
connects employees with the organization, its community,
and the workflow!
• Health Facilitation
Having a decent health policy that also covers
consultation and communication for mental ailments is
important. The understanding that the organization has a
consideration of its employee and their well-being help in
solving the challenges met by employees and helps the
organization with high productivity.
• Stress Management Program
With a heavy workload and intense deadlines, it is natural
that employees have to deal with stress issues. A proper
channel that increases employee efficiency and supports
its people during such stressful situations can help
transgress an individual from the horrifying cockpit of
mental issues.
The best go-to strategy to have a people-centric approach to
the organizational culture and ultimately a holistic growth
can prevail than the organization alone being a the ned of
the stick!

Considering the example of the COVID-19 pandemic,
how do you plan to navigate through similar situations
in the future?
The last virus that threatened businesses in the way that
COVID-19 did was the H1N1 virus or swine flu. Much has
changed since then in terms of how businesses operate,
including the rise of remote work, the increased use of
software as a service and other cloud-based applications,
and just-in-time manufacturing and lean production
strategies in supply chains.
Also, businesses today are more global in terms of workers,
customers, vendors, partners, and suppliers, making
business continuity and pandemic planning far more
complex to test and carry out.
We planned our BCP geared to the 4 phases of pandemic
planning (the PPRR model):
• Prevention
• Preparedness
• Response
• Recovery
Being an experienced leader, share your opinion on how
the adoption of modern technologies has impacted the
industry and how is your company riding the technology
wave?
The AI market will grow to a $190 billion industry by 2025,
according to Markets and Markets. With this already
omnipresent technology in our lives, AI is expected to have
many other uses, technologies advancing with startling

27. Just like Google, AI can scan the internet, LMS, your
proprietary content, and other sources to auto-suggest the
most relevant content. This approach saves learners’ time as
they don’t have to manually go through multiple pages of
search results for hours.
AI can identify learning goals and individual learning
styles, ensuring that employees are receiving a personalized
curriculum. AI will help overcome employee queries and
even provide accurate answers while enterprises can use
chatbots based on AI to help learners get answers to the
most common questions. The whole process is carried out
in the form of human conversation, just as you chat with a
customer care representative.
Our company is embracing developments in AI and modern
technologies to stay competitive. AI can analyze huge data
sets and derive conclusions using technologies like machine
learning and predictive analysis. It can also create learner
profiles combining disparate data sources, giving us the
competitive edge, we need to win the market of the future.
What would be your advice to budding entrepreneurs
who aspire to venture into the leadership development
sector?
Technology can now help with training senior-level
managers more effectively. New industry studies have
found more than half of executives believe their skills
development is ineffective. This affects organizations
seeking to train current and future leaders, as more business
leaders want better soft and hard skills to build
organizational capabilities. Though many corporate course
offerings exist, course content struggles to tackle critical
skills and organizational capabilities. Offering courses
through virtual reality can offer insight into these needs.
Starting a training company has been a rewarding process. I
have had the privilege of meeting many talented and
successful professionals in the field - some from large
companies, others from the military, and still others from
experience classroom trainers. All have come with valuable
insight into my company.
How do you envision scaling your organization’s
operations and offerings in 2022 and beyond?
One of our major goals of starting Employeze is to build a
business that will survive off its own cash flow without the
need for injecting finance from external sources once the
business is officially running.
Employeze will make sure that the right foundation,
structures, and standard operating processes are put in place
to ensure that our staff welfare is well taken of. Our
company’s corporate culture is designed to drive our
business to greater heights and training and retraining of
our workforce is at the top burner of our business strategy.
Our goal is to grow Employeze to become one of the top 10
corporate training firms globally which is why we have
mapped out strategies that will help us take advantage of
the available market and grow to become a major force to
reckon with not only in the Indian Subcontinent but also in
the Asia Pacific.

28. Talent acquisition is at the
center of any business success.
One of the most critical
elements for attracting Gen Z is the
company's culture. With the rise of
work from anywhere, hire from
anywhere, and an easier interview
process all done virtually, there's no
reason for employees (or future
recruits) not to look for better
opportunities matching their
aspirations for better workplaces.
Among all the workforce generations,
Gen Z is one of the hardest to attract
for companies. This is because Gen Zs
expect their workplaces to coincide
with their values, be inclusive of all
cultures, facilitate massive learnings,
take into consideration their mental
health and wellbeing, and be ethical in
all forms. All these expectations are of
immense importance to a Gen Z
candidate, and the lack of any one of
them may result in the choice of
another employer. According to Evan
Sohn, CEO of Recruiter.com: The
focus is now shifting from hiring
numbers to filling workforce demand
to centric employee experience.”
Gen Z’s pays attention to employer
branding, and hence workplaces have
to create new ways to enhance and
communicate their brand image.
Organizations need to define and
communicate who they are, what their
purpose is, and what makes them
unique. It is crucial that these qualities
are accurately and consistently
communicated across social media
channels, employer review sites, and
other platforms - Gen Z is paying
attention!
An employer's branding is a widely
recognized and largely uniform
perception or impression of an
individual based on their experience,
expertise, competencies, actions and/or
achievements within a community,
industry, or the marketplace at large.
When engaging with Gen Z applicants,
it is important that companies
communicate the culture of their
organization and what values they
promote. Gen Z's have to get a sense of
inclusion in their workplaces. They
must feel like they are a part of the
team and that their managers consider
them worthy of making decisions.
Managers also have to make sure there
is synergy between what interests the
candidates and what the organization
stands for. This transparency will work
wonders down the line as it will help
attract as well as retain potential
employees.

29. Here are three ways companies can
attract and retain a Gen Z:
Ÿ Be Transparent with your
workplace culture
Today's GenZ generation gives
priority to honesty and
transparency. If they cannot trust
their leaders, they refuse to work
there. GenZ employees feel
supported and empowered once
they are fully aware of the culture
around them. Gen Z is
entrepreneurial in nature, and the
majority of them value on the face
settings in an office. They are
willing to stand up to their mistakes
if the other person is honest with
them. Organizations that are
transparent about their company
cultures from the hiring process
seem more attractable in the
market.
Ÿ Build internal mobility programs
With the current crisis, it's
never been more important to
invest in your employee base and
make sure every employee is well
suited and satisfied with their job.
By building internal mobility
programs, companies can
demonstrate how serious they are
about the development and
progression of their staff. Every
company has to realize that their
staff is their most valuable asset,
and their happiness will result in the
progress of the organization. Hence
serious efforts have to be taken so
that employees do not choose to
leave the organization.
Ÿ Mentally Healthy and Safe
Workplace
Some of the widest gaps between
Gen Z and other generations are
around feeling their workplaces are
psychologically and emotionally
healthy. The American
Psychological Association has
identified Gen Z as the most
stressed generation, attributed to
growing up while the world has
faced severe global challenges like
gun violence, climate change,
political instability, racial
reckoning, and a pandemic. Great
employers will need to ensure Gen
Z feels emotionally supported in the
workplace through things like
regular check-ins and
encouragement to practice self-care
(although to be clear, that's
something all generations could
benefit from after the past year).
The success of your talent attraction
strategy will depend on how much
you know about them.

31. Ushering a business organization
can be a tricky road to walk on.
Establishing a commercial entity
in the cutthroat competition needs biting the
bullet, and the one who bites it needs to be
encapsulated with a leadership ideal.
Without a leader, an organization turns into a systematic
vessel that possesses a propeller but no direction.
Henceforth, business leaders must keep consistently
evolving while learning management principles.
Imagine stepping into an organization with well-equipped
technological systems, a well-defined workflow
mechanism, demand-supply operators, and a large
employee pool but no navigator who can spearhead the
organization to its worthy victory.
This might sound horrifying, right?
But, in the ever-evolving business market, entrepreneurs
have innovated multiple systems that facilitate leadership
skills for the top management professionals and made
leadership coaching a significant factor in organizational
success!
If you are wondering what is the merit of coaching
leadership skills into the already highly skilled and
technologically marveled corporates is, this article will

management lessons help the Co-executive to understand
the various combinations of situations and go-to strategies
to get the job done while keeping up the core values of
organizational ethos intact.
People management is a roller coaster ride, and in order to
navigate the organizational workflow in a positive direction,
corporates must execute an innovative approach. This not
only helps in wise decision making but also assists business
leaders in mapping a future roadmap of driving the
company employee pools towards a positive outcome,
inspiring people, motivating them, and ultimately
establishing a favorable ecosystem.

Inside the journey of business leaders, there are many twists
and turns of volatile marketing and keeping cool with
market uncertainties and at the same time, balancing
employee-employer tussle. Globally, business gurus have
devised many innovative approaches such as community
development, network building, crisis management,
actuarial execution, employee engagement, cultural
penetration, SWOT analysis, and many more. These
strategies help entrepreneurs and management professionals
stay resilient and nurture their human potential to its best
ability.
Business Mantra’s
Coaching leaders is not simply for the benefit of business,
but it is about finding an efficient way to deal with the age-
old crisis - risk management.
Business uncertainties have always been part and parcel of
the successful roadmap of an organization but changing the
tide of time and ushering with leadership skills is the way
ahead. This is achieved by an in-depth study of the
organization’s demography, plotting capability approach,
and utilizing the workflow that helps the company and
triggers employee growth.
Worldwide, leadership coaching studies such factors and
facilitate business management mantras to help corporates
revamp leadership, ultimately benefiting employee,
employer, and organization in a holistic order.
Relationship Management
While one leads the masses with business growth and
technological innovation, it is important that establishing
relations in the business market is made the prior objective.
As one moves along with volatile markets, it’s the corporate
network that can assist in amplifying collaboration benefits
with a proper understanding of business relations.
With proper guidance and market insights, leaders can help
employees understand this significance and establish a
business community that is self-sufficient with an
interdependent attitude in a business ecosystem
The Ultimate Excellence
As a business leader, asset management is very crucial.
Scouting valuable assets and fostering their growth is what
defines a great leader. Many leadership coaching platforms
and institutes focus on incorporating the ideas and positive
practices of asset development, helping leaders skyrocket
businesses and revamp business growth
Concluding Words
With such merits of leadership coaching, it has become
important that corporate put such coaching pedagogies into
the mainstream and utilize the benefits to pioneer new
leadership hacks.

34. Trying to Get Your
Team Back into the Office?
You're Doing it Wrong
f you're running a business and have been feeling
Ifrustrated with the lack of enthusiasm to return to the
office, you're not alone. Sure, you were flexible in the
beginning, but now it's becoming harder to motivate your
employees, productivity is waning, and profits are starting
to suffer. But why does no one want to come back?
When every headline talks about the benefits of remote
working, how can you go against the grain and inspire a
shift back to an office-based work environment?
I'm going to explain why it's important to return to the
office, I'll help you understand where the resistance you are
experiencing is coming from, and I'll share practical tips to
help you guide your team back.
Let's start with the why.
Why is it important to get your team back into the
office?
It's all about culture. There is no doubt that, in most
instances, there is a clear link between remote working and
lacking company culture. We don't need to tell you that
hosting team-building exercises over Zoom doesn't quite hit
the mark in the same way that full-day in-person training
would.
When you are clear on your company values, and you are
able to express these to your employees, you give them a
“North Star” to guide them during challenging times. The
problem is-during the pandemic, many organizations were
forced to change, teams were dispersed, and culture was put
on the back burner. Now is the time to fix that.
Why? Because having a strong company culture is directly
linked to increased profits. We also know that it positively
impacts productivity. So, if you need to return to the office
to improve your company culture, this should be your
number one priority.
Where does the resistance come from?
In the wake of the pandemic, there has been a worldwide
shift in values as people realized that work was not the only
thing that mattered. The forced shift to remote work gave
many people a work/life balance that they had not
experienced before, making things like attending
appointments and dropping the kids off at school easier than
ever before.
While many people are gagging to get back to in-person
meetings, after-work drinks, and office chit-chat, others are
used to working in their pajamas, spending more time with
their children, and sleeping in a little longer each day.
The truth is if people are earning the same amount of
money and their output is the same, in their minds, there is
no reason to change their current work situation.
One thing is clear, forcing people to return to the office
when they don't want to won't work. So, what can you do

36. instead? Instead of making the return to the office
mandatory, you need to inspire your team to return of their
own accord.
How can you do that?
Let people in on your vision
Explain the plans that you have for your business and make
them feel like they are an important part of those plans.
When an employee can see the potential in a business, they
are more likely to work hard as they know that growth and
career progression are possible.
Keep in mind that it's possible that your company's vision,
mission, and values have shifted over the past two years. It
may be time for a refresh and a program to roll them out to
re-inspire your team again.
Share the Company Goals
When people see growth and know that profits are being re-
invested into the business, they become more engaged. This
improves motivation across the board, and it also impacts
productivity and wellbeing.
Provide New Incentives
Make it worth their while to travel into the office. Chances
are your business has changed over the past two years, and
so should the KPIs you set for your team. The best way to
understand what incentives they want is to ask your
employees. Run a Pulse Survey to find out what is
important to them to get some hard data.
Also, ensure your managers are having 1:1 meeting with all
employees and asking questions about their motivation and
desired incentives, and provide a clear communication
pathway to get the information back so you can take action.
Offer a Profit Share
Giving your team a piece of the pie aligns employer and
employee incentives, increases motivation and loyalty, and
fosters greater teamwork. The benefits are far-reaching and
ensure your employees are in it for the long run. No matter
what size your business is, rewarding your employees for
working together for a common goal is a win-win.
Invest in professional development
Leadership training courses and programs let your team
know that you back them and their future with the
company. Provide access to new skills each year, earmark
people for promotions and support them on the journey.
What's the Long-term Solution?
In reality, you're unlikely to be able to convince people to
return to the now redundant 9-5, Monday to Friday, full-
time office gig. Therefore, I recommend that businesses
formally establish a Hybrid workplace. If you're not willing
to be a little bit flexible on the office arrangement, you risk
losing your top talent to competitors who promote
flexibility. Offering a reasonable amount of flexibility will
go a long way to keeping people satisfied, and the key is not
to make anyone feel bad about using that flexibility.
There are a few key features for an effective Hybrid
workforce. We suggest starting back as a pilot and checking
in with each employee after two weeks to see how it's
going. This will require formal communication channels
such as online surveys or 1:1 meetings with their manager,
as well as informal channels such as phone calls or coffee
chats, just to check how everyone is coping.
You'll also need to address some employees on a case-by-
case basis. Some team members may have moved away and
can no longer travel to the office, or they have new
childcare arrangements. The key is to listen to their
individual needs. If your team members feel heard, then
you'll have a much more motivated workforce.
And finally, whether you decide to enforce two, three, or
four days in the office, the key is to have one “Glue Day” -
one day every week where everyone in the office comes in
so they can engage with the entire team. You'll find morale,
productivity, and culture improve when the team is all in
one place.
Where To Next?
If you're struggling with workforce motivation or you're not
sure where to start, Leading Edge Global provides solutions
for organizations that struggle to meet their objectives. We
can work with you to design the right solution to create the
most effective workforce, leading your business to higher
revenue and profit.
