The STaR Chart is a tool developed around four key areas of Texas's Long-Range Plan for Technology to assist in improving student learning through technology use. It contains statewide summaries by areas including teaching and learning, educator preparation, administration and support, and infrastructure. For one campus in 2009-2010, classifications in teaching and learning and educator preparation were "Developing Tech", leadership and support was "Early Tech", and infrastructure was "Developing Technology". The STaR Chart is meant to guide teachers and districts in preparing students for the future by determining progress and identifying areas for improvement.
