My First Day Of A New School
I woke up to my alarm clock and mom banging on my door. The time is 7:50 and I am late for my

To graduate from high school in New York, it s a requirement for students to pass the english
regent. I was scheduled to take mine in the middle of my junior year and I felt a lot of pressure.
When it came to all of my english classes I hardly ever got a high average in the class. It wasn t
that I was bad at the subject or anything, it was just that I would score low on the assignments that
counted the most. I would always get the same critique on my writingwhich was the fact I didn t

does that mean? Simply put it means that good help can be hard to find. And if you?re a
company that needs to have something done it may be hard to wait and see if you can find
people that are able to do the work for you. It may be easier to outsource to a company that already
has skilled employees trained to do the work.
In the days were most outsourced jobs were low wage and for unskilled labor most people didn?t
pay much attention. Or no one brought it too there attention. When a McDonalds closes not
many people think about the people who are loosing there jobs. I mean who in the U.S. wants to
work a minimum wage job anyways right. But when the jobs are of people who are making forty
to eighty thousand a year people sit up and pay attention. Middle class hard working people are
loosing there jobs something has to be done. This is the United States who has better trained people

Gender Nature Vs Nurture
For years, the issues involving nature vs. nurture have been discussed and argued. Many aspects of
humans lives can be changed by genetics or the environment the individual was brought up in. One
thing both of these influence is the way gender affects individuals learning styles. An article
written by Kelley King, Michael Gurian, and Kathy Stevens discusses how boys and girls have
developmental differences that are deep enough to merit distinct educational practices. While a
second article, by Lise Eliot, explains more on the side of the environment being the main factor as
she explains genderstereotypes within cultures cause differences in learning styles. Although both
articles present on opposite sides of the nature vs. nurture debate, they both mention that, no matter
what the cause is, there is a problem in our school systems relating to gender. Another reading by
Richard A. Lippa, extends on this topic by providing solutions to the gender gap. Lippa also
explains how these differences come to be through nature and nurture.
When discussing how nature and genetics affect genders learning styles, we can look at the

talks about how certain genetic factors make separating classrooms beneficial. Specifically, the
article mentions a few schools who increased their test scores, specifically for boys, when they
