Loughborough University implemented a web content management system to better manage their website. They previously had over 80 individual sites created with different styles using Dreamweaver. Their goals were to introduce consistent publishing, allow more people to easily update content, and integrate the website with other systems. It was a major challenge to move all academic and support departments onto the new system by the end of 2012, given the large number of sites and publishers and limited resources. They took a careful, phased approach over two years with pilot sites and communication to manage expectations about the transition.
