Asal-usul nenek moyang bangsa Indonesia
memang selalu menarik untuk dibahas. Banyak
teori yang mengatakan bahwa kita sebagai bangsa
Indonesia berasal dari Tiongkok, Melayu, dan
bahkan Taiwan.

7. Menurut teori yang dicetuskan oleh Prof
Kern, nenek moyang kita berasal dari
sebuah daerah bernama Yunan yang
terletak di Cina Selatan.
Terdapat dua macam proses migrasi, yaitu
migrasi yang berjalan lambat dan
berlangsung dengan sendirinya dan migrasi
yang berlangsung secara cepat dan
mendadak.

Proses migrasi yang berjalan lambat adalah proses migrasi yang di
dasarkan pada proses perkembangan manusia itu sendiri. Seperti
kebutuhan untuk mencari daerah yang lebih aman, subur, dan lebih mudah
untuk mencari makanan untuk mempertahankan hidup seperti yang
dilakukan oleh manusia purba, mata pencaharian berburu dan meramu
juga menjadi salah stu faktor yang mendorong manusia hidup dalam
kelompok-kelompok dan selalu berpindah dari satu tempat ke tempat yang
lainnya karena mengikuti gerak binatang buruannya.

Proses migrasi yang berlangsung secara cepat
dan mendadak, seperti keharusan mencari
tempat tinggal baru karena tempat tinggal
yang lama telah hancur terkena bencana alam,
kelaparan, perang, penyakit menular, dan
sebagainya

Bangsa Melayu dibedakan menjadi 2 suku bangsa, yaitu :
a. Melayu Tua (Proto Melayu)
yang mewarisi kebudayaan Paleolithikum. Suku bangsa
Indonesia yang termasuk anak ketrunan ini adalah suku
Dayak dan Toraja.
b. Melayu Muda(Deutero
Melayu)
Yang mewarisi kebudayaan Perunggu. Suku bangsa
Indonesia yang termasuk keturunan ini adalah suku Jawa,
Melayu dan Bugis.

12. Tapi, apa benar begitu? Sayangnya, teori Yunan ini
masih sangat lemah dan kurang akurat. Hal itu
disebabkan karena teori ini cuma berdasar pada
bukti-bukti kesamaan secara fisik, temuan benda-
benda bersejarah yang mirip, serta kebudayaan
megalitikum saja.

14. Teori Nusantara menyebutkan bahwa
nenek moyang bangsa Indonesia berasal
dari Indonesia sendiri, bukan dari luar.
Teori ini juga didukung oleh beberapa ahli
ternama, seperti Muhammad Yamin,
Gorys Keraf, dan J Crawford. Teori ini
mengatakan bangsa Melayu merupakan
bangsa dengan peradaban tinggi.
Pendapat Moh. Yamin didasari dengan penemuan
fosil dan artefak yang lebih banyak di wilayah
Indonesia dibandingkan daerah lain di Asia.

16. Dari Taiwan, bangsa Austronesia kemudian
melakukan migrasi, menyebar ke Filipina,
Indonesia, Madagaskar, hingga ke pulau-pulau
kecil di wilayah Pasifik. Pendekatan kebahasaan
pun melahirkan sebuah teori yang dikenal
sebagai “Out of Taiwan”, teori yang
menyatakan bahwa asal-usul manusia Indonesia
berasal dari Taiwan.

2018 terhadap
3.700 orang
Indonesia dari 35
etnisberbeda,
terungkap bahwa
orang-orang
Indonesia memang
memiliki kecocokan
genetika dengan
bangsa Austronesia.

19. Teori terakhir menyatakan bahwa manusia modern yang
hidup sekarang berasal dari Afrika. Dasar teori asal usul
nenek moyang bangsa Indonesia ini berdasarkan ilmu
genetika melalui penelitian DNA mitokondria gen
perempuan dan laki-laki.
Menurut ahli dari Amerika Serikat, Max Ingman, manusia
modern yang ada sekarang ini berasal dari Afrika, antara
kurun waktu 100-200 ribu tahun lalu. Dari Afrika menyebar
ke luar Afrika.
