13. What is timeline?
Why is it significant?
Do you know where and when did life start on
Earth?
14. Directions: Picture out a history
of your life. Create a timeline
that will reflect the event
happened to you in the past.
Activity 1: My Life in Timeline
15. Biological evidence
Fossil - 12%
Jupiter is the biggest
planet of them all
Chemistry - 22%
Saturn is a gas giant
and has several rings
Science - 56%
The Earth is the third
planet from the Sun
Geology - 10%
Despite being red, Mars
is a cold place

16. Fossil record
Bones
Neptune is an ice giant
Shells
The Sun is our star
Leaf
Ceres is in the asteroid belt
Nests
Mercury is the smallest
Teeth
Pluto is no longer a planet
Footprints
Venus has a beautiful name
18. Evolutionary relationships
Fossils
The Earth is the
planet we live on
Plants
Mars is actually a
cold place
Mammals
Jupiter is the biggest
planet of them all
Humans
Saturn is a gas giant
and has rings
5000 BC 120 BC 500 AC 1200s
26. Animal evolution
Step #01 Pluto is considered a dwarf
planet
Step #02 Ceres is located in the main
asteroid belt
Step #03 Mercury is the closest planet
to the Sun

28. Lab: natural selection
Imagine there’s a group of
30 animals from the same
species
Inside the group there are
three types: Some of them are
just able to live in a tropical
climate, some can’t stand high
temperatures and the rest are
able to live in extreme
temperatures
In groups, decide which
one will survive in the
desert
Device a hypothesis and
use the table next
34. Earth’s history is
marked by series of
transformation, mass
extinctions and
geologic changes that
have taken place over
the course of 4.6
billion years ago.
35. Human evolution
This is the Homo Sapiens
Neptune is the farthest planet from the
Sun. It's also the fourth-largest
Traits
● Long limbs
● Short teeth
● Stone tools
● Larger brain
● Vertical face
● Short jaw
We come from monkeys
The Sun is the star at the center of the
whole Solar System

44. Activity 4: Arrange Me!
Directions: Arrange the following statements below
to show the origin and evolution of eukaryotes.
Write your answers on your separate sheet of paper.
45. A. The emergence of first
celled organisms lacking
nucleus in environment
where oxygen was scarce.
D. The presence of
organic compounds on
early Earth
B. Photosynthesis and
aerobic respiration evolve
in some bacterial lineages
C. Fungi, animals and
algae that give rise to
plants-had evolved in the
seas
G. Endomembrane system and
nucleus evolve through the
modification of cell membranes
F. Aerobic bacteria lived inside
eukaryotic cell, then descendants of
these bacteria evolved into
mitochondria
E. Oxygen-producing photosynthetic
bacterial cell entered a eukaryotic
cell, bacterial descendants evolved
into chloroplasts
H. The modern life-
modern organisms related
by descent.
46. Activity 5: Time to Reveal!
Directions: Arrange the jumbled letters to reveal the evidence in the
history of life on earth. This activity will be done by group.
Procedure:
1. There will be five stations, in each station there will be jumbled
letters for you to arrange.
2. In each station, there will be a given clue/description to identify
the word easily.
3. Each member of the group will have to answer on their separate
sheet of paper.
4. In each station, you will only be given 15 seconds to answer. At
the end of each time, you will have to move to another station.
