Infectious diseases are caused by pathogens like bacteria and viruses. They spread from person to person through the nose and mouth when an infectious disease enters the body. The body fights infections with white blood cells which cause fever and inflammation. Non-infectious diseases such as allergies, heart disease, mental illnesses, diabetes, and cancer are not caused by pathogens and cannot spread between people.

2. INFECTIOUS DISEASES:
Are caused by organims called
pathogens.
Bacteria; cause disease s suche as
tetanuns,conjuntivitis…
Viruses; cause diseases in human,
papiloma, AIDS…

3. HOW DO INFECTIOUS DISEASES SPREAD?
• An infectious diseases is contagius if it is transmitted
from one person to another.
• The pathogens usually enter the body through the
NOSE and MOUTH.

• The body has natural defendes, such as the white
blood cells to protect itself
• The human body, the pathogen, often called a
microbe and the body reacts causing fever and
inflamation.

4. NON INFECTIOUS DISEASES:
Are not caused by organims , and therefone , cannot
be spread from person to person .
Allergy: is a reaction that some people have when they come into contac with
susbtances pollen, animal hair…
Heart disease: caused eating fast food often and weight problems .
Mental disease: such as depression, Alzheimer´s disease affect the nervous
system.
Diabetes: illnes that involves high amounts of sugar .
Cancer: in which the body´cells begin to develop in a different way and grow
