Name: NG Ka-po Date: 26th November2017
Introduction
In the assignment, I will talk What and how to teach children technology with the
use of ICT, benefits and potential risks of using ICT in Early Childhood Education.
Justify the rationale of using ICT for young children’s learning experience. Reflect on
the role and potential of using ICT in Early Childhood Education.
Now, children usually easy touch and use technology in their life. Studies have
pointed out: When teacher shall ICT tools integration in the course, increase children
use ICT opportunities. This improves children results on the ICT affect. The study
also tried to establish a link between the use of ICT and students’ results in exams.
The findings are interesting: ICT has a positive impact on students’ performances in
primary schools particularly in English language and less in science. Schools with a
higher level of e-maturity show a rapid increase in performances in scores compared
to those with a lower level.
Using of ICT
ICT is Information and Communication Technology. The teacher can use ICT
tools, teaching, and equipment to support teaching, learning and other cognitive
activities. ICT tools including computer, data projection, digital camera, DVD player,
electronic whiteboard e.t.c. As use electricity, technology is an ICT. For example, in
the music room, a teacher using DVD player music for the children listen to music.
The teacher is doing ‘learn about ICT’. DVD player ICT tools, children can use DVD
player to learn to enjoy music. Through ICT, images can easily be used in teaching
and improving the retentive memory of students, teachers can easily explain
complex instructions and ensure students' comprehension and teachers are able to
create interactive classes and make the lessons more enjoyable, which could
improve student attendance and concentration
GOOD USING ICT METHOD: Teacher can using ICT tools to teaching children.
Then, a teacher must introduce ICT tools from children learning. For example,
children look a bee in the park, there has to quest of a bee, Teacher and children
can using the computer to search insect, a teacher can teach children using the
computer, children can try typing. But the teacher must provide assistance children
use the computer. Usind ICT can reise team activity.
BED USING ICT METHOD: Teacher gets ICT tools of children, the teacher refuses
to acknowledge children. A teacher does not follow children work schedule, a
teacher did not must good learning situation for children. So, I think children using
ICT tools needs teacher teaching and teacher oversee children.
Using of ICT in Early Childhood Education Benefits
First, ICT benefits are allowed flexible, self-paced learning where students are, to
an appreciable extent, able to choose what they'd like to focus on and spend variable
amounts of time on it based on the perception of their learning needs. For example,
teacher design activity teaching china glyph structure for K3 children, a teacher can
play china glyph structure video, children know “word is up and down structure”,
“word is left and right structure” and “word is surrounded structure”. Then, a teacher
can do model example teacher children play words structure. Then, a teacher can
get iPad for children, the iPad can watch different words structure and play words
structure game. Children can according to meself require using ICT tools. Children
can by operating training gradually achieve autonomous learning.
Second, using of ICT benefits is reduces the stigma of failure. Failure is a natural
part of learning, but it is harder to deal with it in actual classroom settings because of
societal pressures. An online environment provides enough privacy and space for
learners to not feel miserable about minor failures that come along the way and thus
helps keep up the motivation. It is because each child has oneself ICT tools,
children do not know other children work schedule, did not compare attitude.
Third, using ICT can support mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills,
the teacher can provide much richer context for children’s problems solving, open-
ended mathematical problems, projects integrating math skills and mathematical
experiments. Children can watch the video to learn the comprehensive statistical
features of a graphical, calculator to carry out a statistical analysis of data that they
have collected. Constructing a figure in a dynamic geometry package may help a
pupil to understand, solve and then prove a geometrical problem. When pupils are
using ICT as a tool to find things out, solve problems or help them to understand
what is happening, then it is often helping them to develop their skills in using and
applying mathematics (Integrating ICT into mathematics in Key Stage 3,2003).
Using ICT in Early Childhood Education Potential risks
First, using ICT risks is may be not help more disorganized learners who needs
more structure and routine available in a physical classroom setting. Better for those
who are able to or at least keen to self-regulate their learning.
Second, using ICT difficult to replicate settings such as lab activities that require
hands-on, experiential learning. For example, when children play sink and emerge
experimental, this is personal contact will be profound, know know the principle and
believes this thing is true.
Conclusion
I think ICT can help teacher teaching and help children learning, but ICT
majority is one person, self-paced learning where students so each tools is
independently usesthis tools to learning, less time and opportunity to
development social skills and physical development. So, teacher using ICT is
good, but teacher much extra join team activity and physical activity, children
can holistic development. (909 words)

Caritas Institute of Community Education Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education--- Technology and Early Childhood Eduaction Teachig Notes Individual Assignment Name: NG Ka-po Date: 26th November2017 Introduction In the assignment, I will talk What and how to teach children technology with the use of ICT, benefits and potential risks of using ICT in Early Childhood Education. Justify the rationale of using ICT for young children’s learning experience. Reflect on the role and potential of using ICT in Early Childhood Education. Now, children usually easy touch and use technology in their life. Studies have pointed out: When teacher shall ICT tools integration in the course, increase children use ICT opportunities. This improves children results on the ICT affect. The study also tried to establish a link between the use of ICT and students’ results in exams. The findings are interesting: ICT has a positive impact on students’ performances in primary schools particularly in English language and less in science. Schools with a higher level of e-maturity show a rapid increase in performances in scores compared to those with a lower level. Using of ICT ICT is Information and Communication Technology. The teacher can use ICT tools, teaching, and equipment to support teaching, learning and other cognitive activities. ICT tools including computer, data projection, digital camera, DVD player, electronic whiteboard e.t.c. As use electricity, technology is an ICT. For example, in

Through ICT, images can easily be used in teaching and improving the retentive memory of students, teachers can easily explain complex instructions and ensure students' comprehension and teachers are able to create interactive classes and make the lessons more enjoyable, which could improve student attendance and concentration GOOD USING ICT METHOD: Teacher can using ICT tools to teaching children. Then, a teacher must introduce ICT tools from children learning. For example, children look a bee in the park, there has to quest of a bee, Teacher and children can using the computer to search insect, a teacher can teach children using the computer, children can try typing. But the teacher must provide assistance children use the computer. Usind ICT can reise team activity. BED USING ICT METHOD: Teacher gets ICT tools of children, the teacher refuses to acknowledge children. A teacher does not follow children work schedule, a teacher did not must good learning situation for children. So, I think children using ICT tools needs teacher teaching and teacher oversee children. Using of ICT in Early Childhood Education Benefits First, ICT benefits are allowed flexible, self-paced learning where students are, to an appreciable extent, able to choose what they'd like to focus on and spend variable amounts of time on it based on the perception of their learning needs. An online environment provides enough privacy and space for learners to not feel miserable about minor failures that come along the way and thus helps keep up the motivation. It is because each child has oneself ICT tools, children do not know other children work schedule, did not compare attitude. Third, using ICT can support mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills, the teacher can provide much richer context for children’s problems solving, open- ended mathematical problems, projects integrating math skills and mathematical experiments. Children can watch the video to learn the comprehensive statistical features of a graphical, calculator to carry out a statistical analysis of data that they have collected. Constructing a figure in a dynamic geometry package may help a pupil to understand, solve and then prove a geometrical problem. When pupils are using ICT as a tool to find things out, solve problems or help them to understand what is happening, then it is often helping them to develop their skills in using and applying mathematics (Integrating ICT into mathematics in Key Stage 3,2003). Using ICT in Early Childhood Education Potential risks First, using ICT risks is may be not help more disorganized learners who needs more structure and routine available in a physical classroom setting. Better for those who are able to or at least keen to self-regulate their learning.
  • 4. Second, using ICT difficult to replicate settings such as lab activities that require hands-on, experiential learning. For example, when children play sink and emerge experimental, this is personal contact will be profound, know know the principle and believes this thing is true. Conclusion I think ICT can help teacher teaching and help children learning, but ICT majority is one person, self-paced learning where students so each tools is independently usesthis tools to learning, less time and opportunity to development social skills and physical development. So, teacher using ICT is good, but teacher much extra join team activity and physical activity, children can holistic development.
