1. My firstuse of technologieswasBlogger.Thiswasone of
the most importanttechnologiesthatisusedbecause it
allowedme todocumenteverythingthatIhad starting
fromthe beginningof mylearninginyear13,
throughoutthe yearand thenall of my finishedwork
and evaluationquestionsansweredaboutmy
coursework.Thiswasreallyeasyandsimple touse asI
was familiarwithitfromthe yearbefore anditallowed
me to include lotsof otherdifferenttechnologiesthatI
usedfromlast yearand this year,inthe form of a blog
post.
My nextuse of technologieswasAfterEffects.In
comparisontolast yearthiswas the formof technology
that made me struggle the mostas I wasn’tfamiliarwith
how to use it on mywork.HoweverthisyearI managed to
getsome helpfromotherstudentsandgot reallyinto
usingthisformof technologyasitisoftenusedwhen
workingwithpremierepro. Ididn’tuse itmuch inmy
musicvideobutwhenIdidit was to stabilisethe clipsto
make themlooksteadier.This wasexceptional help
especiallywhenIspedupandsloweddownsome of my
shotsbecause itmade it looka lotmore professional asI
wasn’tkeenonusingthe steadycam whenfilmingasI
founditdifficulttooperate with.
I usedGoogle as mysource of findingimageryandhelpfromotherpeople overthe worldandapart
of the industry thatI waslookingat I usedgoogle asmymain providertosurf the net. Againthe
same as Bloggeritwas easyto use as I exploititeverydaynotjustinmy mediaworkbutsocial life as
well.

2. My nextuse of technologyisMicrosoftWord.Thisprogramme allows
me to write up all of notesand addpicturesetc to mywork before
transferringittoanotherprogramme readyfor myblogfor example,
calemeo.
AnothertechnologythatIusedwascalledPremiere Pro.Thiswasaprogramme that againI was very
familiarwithasI hadusedit to create my filmopeninginthe previousyearof Mediastudies.Ifeel
that I have progressed withthissoftware asIhave become more experimental withwhatthe
programme hasto offer.Forexample Idecidedtohave all of my
footage formy musicvideoinblackandwhite ratherthan colour,
and got to use some techniquesinwhichyoucanspeedup
clips/slow downclipsandalsoreverse the clipswhichare quite
apparentto feature indrumand bassmusicvideos.
Prezi isanotherprogramme thatI decided
to use as a form of presentingmywork
because itallowsme touse differentslides
almostlike PowerPoint,butyoucan use
YouTube links,picturesetcaswell tomake
it more interestingandpleasingto
read/lookat.Thisto me was a simple
programme to use due to havingiton my
bloglastyear and therefore allowedme to
be quickin processingmyworkas I knew
whatI was doing.

3. My brainsharkwasa new programme thatI
decidedtouse to presentmyworkthisyear
as I thoughtI wouldexpandonmyvarietyof
the way I displaymyblogposts.This
programme allowsyoutouse videosthat
youhave recordedand thenputvoice overs
and or textoverthem.I used thisto
representmyquestionwhere Ispoke about
my comparisonbetweenmydigipak,advert
and video,withotherartistsof mygenre.At
firstI struggledtouse it as itwas a different
formof technologyhoweverIreallylikedit
afterI got usedto itand it showedthatmy
experimentationwithotherformsof
software hadbroadened.
I decidedtoinclude Twitterasa form of technologyasi had
to use it to getintouch withmy artistfor the permissionof
theirsong.Thiswas simple touse asI am part of the Social
Networkingsite andtherefore didn’thave anytrouble with
tryingto findmyartist andgettingpermissionasthe
processhappenedveryfastandsufficiently.
Anothersoftware thatIdecidedtouse was SlideShare,thiswasanotherprogramme inwhichyou
can use to presentyourworkon your bloggerandtherefore made me wanttoinclude ittoshow my
vast use of differenttechnologiesratherthanjustdoinga blogpost.

4. I chose to use Photoshopasmy software tocreate my digipak
and advertbecause itwasthe besttechnology touse and
include andproduce imagerythatwouldmatchmygenre.This
alsoallowsme to make upthese tasksquicklyasI am familiar
withthe software andknew how to addcertaineffectsetc
withoutstruggle.
My lastformof technologywasYouTube.Thisprogramme,foundonthe internetallowedme toput
all of myvideosmade ontothe internetforeveryonetosee onRingwoodSchool’schannel.This
wasn’tdifficultforme asmy teacherswere incontrol of whatwenton to the channel etcbut it
allowedtomaintainthe qualityof the videoratherthanusinganotherprogramme whichmayhave
jeopardisedthis.
