A 22-year-old male presented with sudden vision loss in the left eye along with photophobia and watering for 12 days. He had a history of penetrating eye injury and surgery in the right eye two months prior. Examination found anterior and posterior uveitis in the left eye with macular edema and retinal detachment. Tests showed mild inflammation. He was diagnosed with sympathetic ophthalmia affecting the left eye secondary to the prior right eye injury and trauma. He was treated aggressively with high-dose steroids and immunosuppressants. On discharge, his vision had improved but he requires long-term follow up to monitor the chronic nature of sympathetic ophthalmia.

The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community.
