J. R. D. TATA founded TATA MOTORS
in 1948.
 He directed the huge Tata Group of
companies, with major interests in
steel, engineering, power, chemicals
and hospitality.
He was famous for succeeding in
business while maintaining
high ethical standards.

Tata entered the commercial vehicle
sector in 1954 after forming a joint
venture with Daimler-Benz of Germany.
Tata Motors entered the passenger
vehicle market in 1991 by launching the
Tata Sierra.
Tata motors is an Indian multinational
automotive manufacturing company
headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
