The Alfa Romeo story started in Milan on 24, June 1910. That was the day a group of

allure to them. Not only they have a very stylish design, they also provide all the comfort that a
person needs while driving them. The company was founded back in 1910 and exported cars all
over the world. They had a time in which they didn‘t ship to the US for different reasons, but in
recent years the exporting was renewed, so Americans can also enjoy these luxurious cars. Alfa

106. VAUXHALL
Vauxhall Motors is a British automotive manufacturing and distribution company headquartered
in Luton, Bedfordshire, and a subsidiary of the German Adam Opel AG, itself a wholly owned
subsidiary of the American General Motors (GM). The company sells passenger cars and light
commercial vehicles under the Vauxhall marque; in the past it has also sold buses and trucks
under the Bedford brand. Vauxhall has been the second-largest-selling car brand in the UK for
over two decades.
Vauxhall was founded by Alexander Wilson in 1857 as a pump and marine engine manufacturer
and began manufacturing cars in 1903. It was acquired by GM in 1925. Bedford Vehicles was
established as a subsidiary of Vauxhall in 1930 to manufacture commercial vehicles. Having
previously been a luxury car brand, after the Second World War Vauxhall became increasingly
mass-market. Since 1980, Vauxhall products have been largely identical to those of Opel, GM‘s
German subsidiary, and most models are principally engineered in Rüsselsheim, Germany.
During the 1980s the Vauxhall brand was withdrawn from sale in all countries apart from the
UK and its dependencies. Throughout its history, Vauxhall has been active in motorsports,
including rallying and the British Touring Car Championship.

107. VECTOR MOTORS
Vector Motors Corporation is an American automobile manufacturer originally based in
Wilmington, California. Its history can be traced to Vehicle Design Force, which was founded in
1978 by Gerald Wiegert. Vehicle production began in 1989 and ceased in the 1990s. The
company was recently revived and is currently developing a new supercar. Vector is credited by
some as America‘s first attempt to compete with European performance car manufacturers like
Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Lotus.
Nearly every car produced by the company is designated the letter ―W‖ (for Wiegert) and a
number. A letter ―X‖ after the W (e.g. WX-8) signifies a prototype unit. The only exception to
this rule is the Megatech-era M12, wherein the ―M‖ stands for Megatech and the 12 signifies its
V12 engine.

108. VENTURI
Venturi Automobiles is a French-founded Monegasque-based multinational automotive
manufacturer, that designs, manufactures, and sells luxury electric vehicles. Founded in 1984 by
engineers Claude Poiraud and Gérard Godefro as MVS (Manufacture de Voitures de Sport), the
company‘s sole purpose was to compete in the ―Grand Tourisme‖ market. However, this plan
was immediately faced with many challenges, among them was Venturi‘s almost unknown
existence outside of France, another was Venturi‘s under-capitalized and under-staffed state.
This resulted in Venturi declaring bankruptcy in 2000, nearly sixteen years after its foundation.
In 2001, Monegasque Gildo Pallanca Pastor purchased Venturi, and decided to focus on electric-
powered engines. This change of direction led to the limited-production Fétish.

The first Scion models, the xA hatchback and xB wagon, went on sale in California in 2003, followed by a sports coupe, the tC, and a nationwide U.S. launch in 2004. A successor to the xA, the xD, premiered in 2008, and the Scion marque expanded to Canada in 2010. The Scion lineup uses a one-trim, simplified purchase process, and the marque has relied upon guerrilla and viral marketing techniques.
