2. ABOUTUS
In 1967, the late T.J. Botha, began Impala Steel as a
company focused on the transportation of steel. In 1986,
Gerhard Indwe Botha joined his father in the business.
Gerhard quickly realised that there was a huge gap
in the market for the repair and maintenance of heavy
vehicles. The focus of the company was expanded from
logistics to include the rebuilding and refurbishing of
heavy vehicles and in 1989 Impala Truck was born.
This was only the beginning of Gerhard’s passion for
entrepreneurship.
The company grew from strength to strength and now
includes thirteen separate closed
corporations within the Impala Group of Companies.
The group currently owns approximately 250 000
square metres of prime industrial property, especially
acquired and developed for the needs of the ever
growing group.
Also important to the company’s philosophy are the
10 000 hectares of agricultural properties in Limpopo
and Mpumalanga where we have diversified into game
breeding and the growing of maize and soya crops as
well as the establishment of a commercial feedlot for
cattle.

4. SERVICEANDEXCELLENCE
Our clients are our livelihood. Without a strong client base and excellence in the way we service them, there would
be no company. Our industry is extremely sensitive towards service delivery, and the fact that we have grown our
business constantly over the past 50 years is a clear indication of client satisfaction.
New clients become friends, and these friends later become like family to us. One of our core goals are to ensure
that when a transaction takes place, all parties will benefit from it.
