A taskforce for risk assessment in food safety was established in Vietnam in 2013 to enhance the capacity of decision-makers and researchers in risk-based food safety management, particularly in informal markets. The taskforce, comprised of academics and ministry representatives, has conducted training programs, consultations, and case studies to assess health risks associated with various food commodities. Achievements include published research on risk assessment, policy briefs, and training courses aimed at adapting risk-based methodologies to local contexts.
