Photos for Magazine
Front Cover
I chose this as the front-
cover photograph
because I like the way
that the lighting mimics
stage-lighting, linking to
the genre. It also
connects with the
audience but not in a
way that is too strong
and appears as though
she is no longer a
performer.
I don’t like this photo because
her eyes are closed so she has
no connection with the
audience at all. Creating an
opposite effect to what would
be expected from the genre.
I felt that this image was
too direct through the use of
direct eye-contact with the
audience.

This image was very similar to the one of
the front cover. This could effectively
create a distant, creative, thoughtful
character who is often in a world of their
own- a common stereotype for theatre
actors.
This image linked to the ‘Behind the Scenes’
theme of the magazine as it shows her in her
dressing room about to get into costume. It
suggests a dressing room tour given by the
character as this is common.
This image connotes the multi-talent
required for musical theatre, linking
to the genre. The black and white
colour scheme also suggests the
traditionality of theatre.

current age, performing as
Eponine in the Queen’s
Theatre’s production of Les
Miserables.

performance as the young
Cosette (Age 8)
