 Committee is in charge of supporting worthy
causes financially and with awareness
campaigns
 Simple Project ideas to start with:
 Canned food drive for local food pantry
 Stuffed animal/toy drive for Toys for Tots, or local
shelter
 Support any local family by raising money/items for
them incase of an unplanned disaster/tragedy
 Partner with NHS or other clubs and their community
service projects (it counts for our state reports)

10. Pride & Patriotism
 Committee is in charge of school spirit, national
and state holidays, teacher appreciation, and
good citizenship.
 Small, simple things:
 Encouragement posters for sports teams
 Water bottle shakers (also recycling project)
 Hula Hoop contests during lunch
 Voter Registration & citizenship awareness
 Texas Pride (celebrate Texas holidays)
 Student Appreciation Week (play little games and do
give-aways)
 Football game good citizen gift exchanges

 Homecoming Dance (Fall Dance)
 If you don’t have start-up money, it’s ok!
 Biggest expense is the DJ, decorating is secondary
 Decorations (Keep it simple!)
 Borrow old decorations from a neighboring school (Also
E&E!)
 Get donated old Christmas lights from teachers/parents
 Make your own center pieces and photo booth
 Air up balloons and have them on the floor
 Have another club manage concessions
 This is usually one of the biggest $$$ makers!
 Spring Dances can be done; depends on school
culture.

12. Teacher Appreciation Ideas
 Serve breakfast (donuts and juice) once a month to teachers
 Select a “Teacher of the Month” and decorate their door.
Members vote for the teacher.
 “You’ve been Clubbed” decorate another club advisor door!
They pass it on to another club.
 Simple notes with candy/hot chocolate.
 Thank you Cards sometimes a simple thank you goes a long
way.
 Remember your Principal/AP’s/Staff/Aides
 PINTEREST!!!
 If you have extra StuCo shirts give them to the Administration
and Secretaries.
