Shifting Stats: Shaking the Church. World Vision Canada's 2014 Church Leaders...WVCNCE
Gain a bird’s-eye view of Canada’s new cultural context and a different lens through which to re-frame the Gospel.
In spring 2014, more than 800 church leaders in 10 Canadian cities participated in the church leaders forum: "Shifting Stats: Shaking the Church."
Using the latest Canadian statistics and church research, Dr. Don Moore, World Vision’s National Church Ambassador, painted the picture of our new cultural and religious landscape. Bruxy Cavey, author and Teaching Pastor at The Meeting House, then challenged our thinking on how to not only present but also live out the Gospel given these new realities.
Since 2007, World Vision Canada has offered these half-day church leader events to serve the local church. We strive to offer relevant ministry topics and host a space for honest conversation and collaboration among local leaders.

This paper sheds light on the regulatory background of responsible organisational behaviour. Several governments are stepping in with their commitment for corporate governance as they are setting their social and environmental responsibility agenda through different frameworks. Many countries are following the guidelines of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). These international organisations have provided highly recognised international benchmarks for transparent and accountable practices. This paper also made reference to some of the relevant European Union(EU) Expert Group recommendations for non-financial reporting. It transpires from the pertinent literature review that businesses are encouraged to adopt the reporting instruments of nongovernmental organisations. Finally, this paper concludes by proposing that the way forward is to have a more proactive government regulation which creates shared value by contributing to the wider societal and environmental objectives.

A presentation by Adam Arnold at the event "Bullying in Our Midst" (4/14/13) - http://semnsynod.org/ministries/cyf/bullying-in-our-midst/
What makes a bully be a bully? What conditions and variables are in place that makes him/her think it’s okay to be cruel to others? If we really want to stop the epidemic that is literally taking the lives of our youth, we must go beyond treating the symptoms of the bully’s behavior. We must look at the source of the problem.
Utilizing the latest research on bullying, psychotherapist Adam Arnold discusses systemic, practical, and strength-based approaches for getting to the heart of bullying.
Adam holds a Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychotherapy, is Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and is a member of the LGBT Therapists Network, the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy as well as the Minnesota Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
In addition to being a family therapist in private practice and the Executive Artistic Director for blank slate theatre (www.blankslatetheatre.com), Adam has worked as a counselor in several residential and day treatment centers, and as a group psychotherapist in the addiction and domestic violence fields.

of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions

Putting the SPARK into Virtual Training.pptxCynthia Clay
This 60-minute webinar, sponsored by Adobe, was delivered for the Training Mag Network. It explored the five elements of SPARK: Storytelling, Purpose, Action, Relationships, and Kudos. Knowing how to tell a well-structured story is key to building long-term memory. Stating a clear purpose that doesn't take away from the discovery learning process is critical. Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement. Validating and affirming participants' comments is the way to create a positive learning environment.
